I agree, that's why I was saying most of the friends of the gay characters and their mothers and sisters are quite supportive in the dramas. I was thinking you meant the writers and directors of the dramas are always portraying women a certain way...negatively. How is Ton misogynistic? He seems to respect Chon's mom and best friend, as well as his sister, mother, and his ex.
This story has so much potential with an amazing cast. The acting is good and the setting is not bad either. Honestly…
Do you watch BL dramas? That has always been an big complaint in bl/gay dramas. The women are portrayed weak or whinny. They are insecure. They are always trying to get their ex back by either exposing their gay relationship to everyone or just by causing a rift between their ex and the new person their dating. They show-up at the most inopportune times being loud and hysterical. But look at how the parents are portrayed in the dramas, the fathers are detached and oblivious to their sons, while the moms and sisters are strong supportive figures. So, all woman are not portrayed the same. When I think about the first BL dramas I watched like Make It Right and Love Sick, to all of them now...same characters, different story.
I am currently looking for a show to watch while I wait for a bunch of other dramas to update. Is this show worth…
The four main characters get into relationships in the first couple of episodes, none of the relationships move much further until the last couple of episodes, then it ends before much happens. If that doesn't bother you, try it out.
Very unimpressed by this show. As a gay man whose life is full of drama, I can't identify with the characters…
I doubt it's you, with the 8.0 rating, many people seem to think that way. Comedy is always hit or miss though. When I watched episode one, I was thinking it wasn't going to be something I would watch. After episode 1, I dropped any expectations I had (with so many "veteran" BL actors, I just expected different). Now I am looking forward to each episode because I find the story quite entertaining and funny. For me, Oh Mando! (also tagged as comedy) is too far-fetched. I have tried 2 times to watch episode 2, but failed to get pass 5 minutes.
I can't find episode 2 of Oh Mando on Youtube!!....this is very disturbing.........can anyone help, thank [email protected]
They only released episode 1 on YouTube, the rest are on a pay site which you can find on their YouTube channel. I have read people say once the series is over, they will release the rest of the episodes on their YouTube channel.
Oh okay. Once it releases on Netflix, I am sure it will make it's way online to all the sites. You will just have to wait until the end of Dec. probably.
Thanks for posting this. I was going to post something similar but you saved me the trouble. Apparently viewers…
Viewers of BL dramas can also be incapable of enjoying a drama unless it has a happy ending. There are almost 8 billion people on Earth, I am sure millions upon millions of relationships have ended in less than ideal conditions, including the sudden death of a lover by sickness or accident.
For me BL/LGBT/Yaoi/Shounen-ai is same thing and no one can change my mind. But, regarding for who is this series…
eeekkk, I pass lol. I am about to go pick up a pizza for me and my 16 year old nephew. Hopefully, he will play his game all night and not bother me (unlikely) and I will check out this new drama on Netflix, Graceful Friends. ...about dysfunctional friends and family...my cup of tea lol. don't fall asleep and enjoy your night best as you can haha

Have you started watching Tonhon Chonlatee yet? I just finished episode 2 and can confirm that is a typical BL. It is totally different from I Told Sunset About You. The distinctions should be crystal clear.
If you dont have a sense of humor this one is not for you. Its cute and fun. I worry tho cute and fun for 13 episodes…
It's different and I like that nothing like it, with the sexiness of literally all the actors, is out now. You do have to have a sense of humor and realize it's not taking itself serious, just a fun stereotypical BL.
I like it. I found the ending to be satisfying and realistic, cause if they ended up together, someone would have…
From start to finish was completely realistic. You will not willingly come-out to your family if you haven't accepted yourself yet. Those that have been "out" for awhile forget the struggle and assume because they are proud, all the rest of us should be just because they say it's better. Everyone has to go through this internal struggle themselves. Unc was right, allow people to come-out on their own . You shouldn't try to force them out, this includes threats, guilt trips, or any other kind of pressure. The ending wasn't what I wanted (I wanted the perfect BL ending with Karl yelling in front of everyone at the dinner table, YES this is my boyfriend that I love, a nice smooch between them, and a closing shot holding hands on the table while everyone is talking and laughing and playing my fav song from the drama, Tahanan haha), but it was satisfying and realistic.
