I get what you're saying. I plan to watch Not Me. The production and visual is so nice in Not Me, I want to wait until I can watch it in one binge. What completed BL is one that you think is well done that does not portray this toxicity you mention?

I wonder the same thing. Why don't people watch Teletubbies , Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, Sesame Street, etc. if they want happy happy joy joy. These drams are similar, so often, because this is real life. Every one has baggage and insecurities and when two strangers meet and mix it all up, it's not pretty.

Agreed. The way the storyline has been going, there is nothing else they could do for a plot really. The sets of couples are obvious and into each other, so no one is going to cheat. I mean it's either push him away for a better future plot or someone gets hit by a car plot.

A good storyline that shows what gay males go through. It's basically a documentary that hits on some major issues and it's accurate.

He's extremely annoying because he's so inconsiderate of everyone. You always have a cute quiet one, a handsome mean one, and the 'sexy or sexual' aloof one; they all need to go through a character development. What would these dramas be without these characters.

Good points. I agree with you. I loved all the episodes. The pacing, acting, and storyline was great. I totally understand the reason for hating your neighbors. If someone took your dream from you, no matter the size of the dream, not forgiving or wanting to associate with them is understandable. Pran's mom has a right to still be angry. The episode 12 preview was horrible. I am not saying the episode will be, but a break-up after they just confused to each other how much they went through makes no sense. To be together they fought each other, their friends, their family...now they break-up after all that? No. I can only wait to watch the episode to see if the reason for break-up is BS or not.

This seems like common sense; obviously everything can be improved upon, especially in hindsight. Complaining will never stop as long as we all have opinions we want to share, hence a comment section.

This is really bad. It's worse than the comments are suggesting. It's basically 5 different storylines for each of the main actors in part 1 (Ben, Jim, Flo, Yana, Olan). The storylines really don't intersect or have anything to do with each other. It should not be called B X J Forever because B X J don't even see or talk to each other. They both spend the whole time with other people just dreaming and thinking about the past. B does not show-up in his personal storyline until 2/3 of the drama is over. It's hard to care about the other characters (or any character) because they are just there, we don't know how they got there or why they are there now. None of of the storylines conclude, the drama just ends. It's really bad.

That's one thing about the Asian BLs that get me. We all love the cutesy, naive, innocent acting behavior and get sucked in, but when they do sequels, they still do that cute stuff. The problem is if you moved in with someone and it's been a year, the shy behavior is kinda dumb.

South Korean BL drams are so cringe, but the BL movies are usually pretty normal. I wonder why :/

I thought it was very good from the storyline alone; and it has the potential to go in many directions (especially after that ending). I gave it an 8, but once season 2 comes and we get the full story, I will probably rate it higher.

Why do you say no season 2? From the ratings and everything I have read, it's more likely than not to be a season 2. Also, why did you say it was poorly received? Most of the info I have read is positive and suggests everyone stream it.

Yes, I enjoyed all the Cube films a lot. I also liked Escape Room, but not the most recent one so much. And you made a good point, the acting and story made you care for the characters in Squid Game. I don't think I care about anyone in Saw, Hunger Games, Running Man, Cube, or Escape Room. lol.

You're right and that's probably the biggest reason. The "sweet innocent" South Korean culture is the biggest fad right now.

I think it's because it's so popular around the world and everyone is acting like it's original and different. To them it is and nothing is wrong with that, but to those of us that have been watching Japanese and Korean death game movies for years we say, it's good, but it's not like WoW. Again, I think it's a good watch, but I think it's more Netflix advertising that one film that caused it to be such a craze. I mean Netflix also has Alice in Borderland, which didn't get much advertising. If interested in death game movies, I have custom lists of a few horror/death game dramas and movies.
