In future you will see more kdramas with nudity. Industry is slowly changing and trying to match western standards.
I agree with this. Korean people have just as much sex as Western people, they just aren't as open about it. Hopefully without the restrictions imposed to mainstream TV, we can finally see more accurate representations of relationships. Don't get me wrong, I like the cute relationships from the regular kdramas, and I feel like even regular kdramas have actually started becoming a bit more realistic when it comes to sexual relationships, but I'd like something even more realistic as well. And honestly, I think the most explicit sex scene I've ever seen in a movie was in a Korean movie lol.

I'm actually fine with this as long as they don't start making kdramas that last 10 seasons and they stick to a main romance instead of the main couple breaking up and dating other people before reuniting in the last episode.
I have never watched the Chinese drama you mentioned, but I have seen many Korean ones and censorship isn't really…
I can suspend belief too, but I feel like because I disliked the rest of the drama, that paragliding scene bothered me way more lol. I don't know what to tell you about those last 4 eps. They are filled with sooooo much crying and drama that I hated the last eps. At this point I couldn't take it anymore. If you enjoy super dramatic scenes you might end up liking it more who knows. I don't know why I got that idea about The Heirs, but I doubt I'd watch it anyway, I rarely watch teenage dramas, in fact, I'm not sure I've ever watched one. I have watched American shows and really enjoyed them when I was a teenager myself, but I'm 25 now and I can't be bothered to watch a teen show, I'd rather watch more mature dramas. As for Park Shin Hye, she's probably part of the worst kiss I have ever seen. Back in 2017 when I started watching dramas and I was looking up what to watch, I saw a clip somewhere from this drama called Heartstrings and she was in it. The kiss I saw was absolutely terrible and I avoided her dramas because I saw that kiss. Fortunately, she has improved since then and her kiss scenes in Pinocchio and Doctors are actually alright.

I haven't seen may Korean movies, but the ones I have seen have been very different in quality and tone compared to dramas in my opinion. I don't understand why there's such a gap between dramas and movies in Korea and why they don't try to bridge the gap and improve drama production. Just off the top of my head I'm thinking of that paragliding together scene from CLOY where the laws of physics just stopped existing lol. I just can't imagine seeing that in a movie. Yes, Something in the Rain was terrible towards the end, but I find that unfortunately, many dramas struggle with final episodes by introducing some awful plot points. Still, this does stand out as being one of the worst imo. I agree with you, I really dislike the juvenile and innocent heroine type that for some reason it's really popular in the drama world and I find it completely fake and unrelatable. However, in Goblin I was irked by the female lead at first because yeah she was very young, but I felt like she acted even younger than her age sometimes. As you said the romance did get better in the last part of the story. But I am a sucker for fantasy so maybe that's why I enjoyed Goblin, but I do understand and agree with your point. As for Park Shin Hye, hm, I don't hate her, but I don't think she's very good lol. I will never watch The Heirs, I absolutely hate douchy male leads and pushover pathetic female leads and that's what that show seems to be like. I have only seen 2 of her dramas, Pinocchio and Doctors, and they were okay, nothing too bad imo. Same with Song Hye Kyo, I don't think she's very good and I don't get the hype for her. DOTS was my first drama of hers that I watched and it really didn't live up to the hype. Considering that the main leads ended up getting married, I expected some great chemistry between them and that wasn't really the case. And yeah, I guess we do disagree a bit, I wasn't that bothered by Song Joong Ki, I got used to him after a few episodes. I've also seen her in Encounter and that drama was just boring to me and the relationship quite underwhelming. She was fine tho, but just that fine, nothing special. Yeah, I can't wait for Kim Eun Sook's upcoming drama especially cause it has fantasy elements and I really like fantasy in any way shape or form. I like Lee Min Ho and Kim Go Eun, I just hope they have chemistry because I can't really think of Lee Min Ho having that much chemistry with anyone rly lol. I haven't seen all his dramas so I could be wrong, but I do like him as an actor and hope they do a good job in this drama.

In the beginning I liked it a bit more because they weren't in that phase of kissing and possibly having sex. But then, when they were there, and all I got were stares and smiles and tears, it was really disappointing. I mean he went to South Korea, lived in her apartment and they never showed them kissing, but they showed that he played video games. How is that more important that showing this supposedly great love happen??? It's just completely unbelievable lol. It's like they didn't want to touch each other so I really don't understand why people like couple so much when the chemistry just isn't there. This romance just felt very contrived to me overall, like that scene you mentioned at the border when she's just like 'k bye' so he can step into South Korea to kiss her. Just ugh, so annoying. As for Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin, I have enjoyed Something in the Rain, that drama actually portrayed a realistic and mature couple with intimacy, but sadly the end was also ruined by a terrible plot point, so I do think that she can do a good job. Hyun Bin, however, I don't think I have actually seen him in anything I liked lol, I haven't seen The World They Live in though. I do like him as an actor, but his projects aren't really for me it seems. Honestly, before I started this drama, I knew this writer wasn't for me because I really disliked You From Another Star and I didn't really like Legend of the Blue Sea, but this story seemed so interesting I thought I should give it a try but it ended up being a huge fail. You mentioned Kim Eun Sook, she was one of the writers whose dramas I kind of disliked before I watched Goblin. While I didn't exactly love Goblin, I did like it and I was entertained by it, but overall, her dramas are really not for me, especially Descendants of the Sun. I do think the main couple from there is better than the couple from Crash Landing on You, but overall the drama felt a bit too cheesy and unbelievable for my taste and not just the romance part, the military and medical parts too.
Still have 4 eps to go but I so agree with your review! I can tell this drama isn't going to get a high rating…
I have never watched the Chinese drama you mentioned, but I have seen many Korean ones and censorship isn't really a valid excuse at this point. There's many shows nowadays that show way more realistic kissing and the characters even have sex even though it's fade to black. There's no excuse other than the director or the writer's choice to just show them staring at each other instead of actually hugging or touching or kissing like actual people in love would do. When their big reunion in South Korea happened I was sooooo disappointed I was like 'That's it??'. How am I supposed to be invested in this supposedly great love story when it's so dumb and lacklustre lol? I just don't get the people that love this so much. I honestly think they are just blinded by Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin. I like them too sure, but I can't like a drama just because I liked the main leads in different shows.
