I watched the first four episodes. The story and fancy effects seems interesting which keeps me on edge. For that, I may continue to watch just to see what happens, but there's little screen time or character development for ppl aside from the male lead. That's all I can say about it so far 😅

Lol Man's Inhumanity to Man is definitely not a remake of that movie. I don't think you need to watch the movie…
I think what's important is that people continue talking about Unit 731 so that it doesn't get forgotten. The series might not receive a lot of watchers bc of its subject and/or detailed scenes, or for other reasons, but there are podcast/videos on YouTube that talk about 731 people have seen already, so on that note I think there are different ways people might get to know about 731 even if its not through the series.

I have the same issue as well. I finished the series on YouTube a few weeks ago and had no issues with location so I guess Youku decided to make it accessible to people in China only. I hope someone can upload the series on mega or something :/
