Seo Ye Ji and Lee Sang Yeob- are 2 actors I love so much! They have such different energy though - really interested to see how they'll mesh on screen.
I’m so glad I watched this! In particular I loved Haitai. Honestly it started to slow down a little towards the end and focus on things I didn’t care about so much, but the constant laughs kept me interested. At the end I really didn’t care who Na Jung ended up with, I preferred seeing all the friendships between the characters rather than the romantic relationships. Could’ve been a few episodes shorter, felt like unnecessary romantic drama was added to bring it to 21 episodes rather than the usual kdrama 16. Still really enjoyed this experience!
This is my first Reply series! It was randomly selected for me, kinda glad this is the one I'm starting with as the others generally seem to be more loved and so if I do enjoy this I can be even more excited for those. And I'm loving the first 2 episodes. It feels so different from any other drama, also I find myself smiling throughout these episodes, which is a nice break from all the tears of my last drama!
I have this terrible habit of when I love a drama too much I stop watching it because I don’t want to leave the characters and story and never have I done that more than with this gorgeous drama! I started this drama at the beginning of July 2020 and I’ve only just finished it in November 2021 - I would watch an episode every few months! And after 16 months I was still not ready to say goodbye to these beautiful characters, but I’ve finished the drama now. It’s going to be so weird not seeing it on my watchlist anymore. Anyway if this isn’t obvious this is my favourite drama, it’s kicking Coffee Prince out of its top spot!
I completely fell in love with him in Hot Stove League, he was just playing the most adorable character. And he was the reason I made it through the beginning of Sisyphus. I can’t wait to see his next project, I love sports romcoms and he’s starring with Park Joo Hyun who’s so talented and it’ll be her first leading rom com roll!
Apparently some people were doubting this is a bl after the first episode, I hope the second episode completely cleared all that up for you! I'm so excited to see more, it's playing out word for word like the manga and there are so many great manga scenes to come!
I haven't seen many adaptations of mangas I've actually read, but this is crazy how spot on this is with the manga. The characters look and feel exactly the same. Also none of the actors are always overacting- which is one of my jdrama pet peeves. Ida is my fave and he's just as thoughtful and clueless as I'd hoped! Also Aoki and Hashimoto have the cutest friendship in the manga and they look so cute here. So happy they're doing the play next episode - Aoki looks perfect as Cinderella! Episode 1 has beat all my high expectations.
I always find Chinese dramas hard to finish, and I don't know if I'll make it to the end of this one, but at the moment this is extremely sweet and fun to watch.
Whether you think it's good or bad i'm kinda grateful for Squid Game because as someone who's been a lover of Kdramas for years, I've never been able to really gush about what I'm watching with many people, but everyone I know is watching this and most of them have never watched a kdrama before, so it's fun to be able to actually talk about Kdramas with people.
I'm so torn about this drama, because I love so many of the characters, the lead's chemistry is just insane and I'm obsessed with all the tropes they included, but the story doesn't make any sense! It makes it difficult to rate because although I'm constantly confused because it seems I have a better understanding of what's happening in the story than the writer (you can't just add whatever you feel like when you've set something up completely differently!!!) but there's still all that stuff I love, I think there's another world where this story actually works and Park Bo Young and Seo In Guk get the scripts their acting and chemistry deserves, but until that world exists I'll be happy we have at least this.
Love or hate this series it's another bit of proof that Korea is not just taking over the music industry, it's taking over the entire entertainment industry.
I'm scoring this equal to the kdrama, this remake cut a lot of stuff which made the pacing much faster and I loved the FL way more in this version. But the original has such a special place in my heart. I think if you had an issue with the OG FL and some of the tired kdrama cliches this is the remake for you!
They actually got rid of the most annoying and cliched part of the kdrama - I could not be happier! Also getting…
Obviously I'm talking about the "how could you lie to me" section of the kdrama - it was the ML pouting and FL being sad for way too long in the OG version. So happy they got rid of that whole bit and just had them apologise and understand each other in this.
They actually got rid of the most annoying and cliched part of the kdrama - I could not be happier! Also getting rid of that part makes the ML seem like a much better guy! Love that change!
After watching the original back when I'd only just started watching kdramas (I think it was my third ever) it's making me feel so nostalgic, except this has a much faster pace, I also find the female lead a lot more likeable, and it also has Akaso Eiji who I'm such a big fan of. I'm really enjoying my experience with this.
