Oh! Haha. Sorry. I didn't follow the We Are Qs, but I remember Perfect 10 Liners being around 55Qs and filming took like 7 months all together. It was airing a long time before they finished filming. I think we were already a few episodes into PerthSantas storyline when they had their final Q.
There are definitely some technical issues here (likely due to budget restrictions) but I love it anyway. All these adorable characters stole my heart! I feel like this might end up the most underrated BL of the year to me, there’s something special about it. But I’m so happy Change sees it as enough of a success to do 5 special episodes… which is funny to me that there will almost be as many special episodes as there were episodes in the entire series. I’m just going to say thank you and enjoy them.
I didn’t realise that the novel is by Littleskyofme - who also is the author of When Oranges Fall. I read When Oranges Fall and feel that New and his team were able to bring the authors beautiful words to life so perfectly, obviously helped by the actors incredible performances. So I am so much more excited - because I love the authors coming of age slice of life style and after seeing how well New did WOF I have so much confidence in him doing this justice AND with how talented Chokun and Aston both are… when this eventually comes it’s going to be magic. I have faith.
I think New just resting up before this and directing projects in his more typical style, because he said WOF took a lot out of him.
I’m still watching for BookFrame - they’re adorable and their current story could be super important if given the screentime a subject like that deserves - but it won’t… oh well!
Java said yesterday: “I saw how many eps Roommate Chaos has, and I’m already stressed wondering if I’ll even finish filming it within a year” so like we expected this is gonna be a long one - I wonder if it’ll be We Are long or Perfect 10 Liners long though!
Copter and Banks Twitter interactions are so hilarious - it’s just a daily cycle of Copter winding up Bank and Bank threatening him into apologising - I love them
I wonder how DrSammon is involved in this because it’s an original script and she’s not listed as a writer. But she’s talked online about visiting the set and keeps posting about the series - it’s also just very typical of her style.
Director Au is currently assisting Aof with the direction of the Love of Silom Musical stage play which is showing in December so we don't know when he'll start this. He is Aof's longest running AD and Aof is directing 2 projects this year.
I love this (so so so so much) already, and oh my goodness the second hand embarrassment and stress I felt in that workshop scene. I know this is all new to him and not his dream, but he needs to start adapting quickly because that breach of contract price scares me. Anyway again I love this and everyone is doing so well - Save, Auau, James, Ryujin, Patji, EVERYONE is perfect.
Sometimes Japanese BLs go a little downhill if the leads get together earlier on, but I LOVED the most recent episode! Shiono travelling 4hrs just to eat with Takoi! And Shiono completely softening when he saw Takoi was sad! they’re everything to me! I never thought I’d be so invested in a long distance relationship but here I am!
I thought Date was shionos family, until Date said he knew Takoi before he met Shiono and then that confused me. I don’t know who he is, but I’m excited to find out over the remaining episodes!
i genuinely really like this! I saw a bunch of people hating on it, but I have more and more fun with every episode! And Fuens reaction at the end of ep3! I need ep4 right now!
Director A is doing such a fantastic job with his first high school bl “Class Crush Crisis”, it’s such a beautiful little drama! He has done a lot of darker mature bl dramas over the past few years so I didn’t know if he could do highschool but he definitely can - I think with him as the director this’ll be special!
