Frame and Book were adorable and actually so healthy and comforting to eachother. The rest I started watching at 2x speed or entirely skipping after a while. Frame and Book though were special throughout.
I’ve seen the Director and writer, Boss, say so many times that this is a story about humanity and he wanted to show that humanity through a character that feels he has lost all his humanity, Ken. So i personally think from that lens’s it would be brutal just to kill Ken at the end of this story. Because I don’t feel like Ken has actually lived these past 230 years - he’s existed to die, feeling nothing. So I don’t love the idea that he could finally live an actual life finally feeling things, but then he just ends it. It’s not a dishonest view of humanity, but it’s a pretty bleak one for a series. But on the other side of things immortality isn’t human and wanting to end a life after so many years is a very human response.All this is to say I’m losing my mind and trying to prepare myself for the fact my heart will be shattered when this ends sadly!
I don’t even know what a happy ending for this would even look like… I’m greatful Fool In Love is coming next week - I am going to need something to cure the devestation I’ll feel when this is over.

Smart was long gone before they started concepting this. But with Boom it’s unclear what his series “Akina” was going to be, it just had a lot of the same cast and the same creator - then Akina was scrapped and NOUR was announced with Boss and TongTong as the leads. So I guess not?
Can you tell more about the characters of my little poplar that will appear in fool in love?
From reading just the manhua - it is only bonus’s character that physically appears in both as he is Ings cousin and My Little Poplar mostly is set at a military camp. Although Bonus is partnered up with Maiake who’s also an iQIYI artist for their upcoming series, so he could be the other main in this too.
I wonder if My Little Poplar will be the next novel adapted in the series - Bonus will be in Fool in Love playing Pite who is the lead of My Little Poplar and it does run parallel to the timeline of Fool In Love.

He’s gonna be incredible! The trailer is so accurate to the source material it’s just cut smartly and only shows a few scenes from the latter half of the story.
I caved and started skimming the manhwa just to get an idea of the story and the characters but now I’m on chapter 100 and obsessed. It’s even messier and more painful than I expected. Mainly I’m so excited for Bank to play this character I can’t think of any another Thai BL with a lead character like this. Also from the trailer it feels like Bank is bringing Ings vulnerability more to the surface, than SuYing allows himself to show in manhwa, but I love that choice so so much and I think he’s gonna break my heart even more.
this series seriously snuck up on me! Back in July I thought the first episode was pretty good, but I didn’t love it. And now that we’re nearing the end I am so in love with this series and these characters! I don’t know when it changed for me but it’s definitely got a special place in my heart!
I hope this won't be delayed since we don't know who will direct it. I understand that Unknown Lover is the biggest project DMD has ever taken on and its going to be a lengthy process especially in terms of pre-production, so I understand that realistically Kla just doesn't have time to do both that and this, but I really really hope we get a good director for 20 Lists, because DMD have pulled some of the best directors in the industry for their other 2027 projects.
I should've known when Chokun and Aston started promoting the 17th Spring's twitter page again that workshops were coming soon! I think it will be a while till it starts shooting because News filming 2 series at the moment, but so happy this is actually moving!!!
So Bonus (iQIYI talent and star of upcoming Thai adaptation of Secret Relationships) has been just announced to be in Fool In Love. No 100% confirmation yet but a lot of people believe he will be playing Bai Xinyu - who is the main character of the 188 novel My Little Poplar. It does makes sense that as this is a iQIYI original project that they’d cast their inhouse talent as the future leads and not so much Tailai talent.
I did love the little nod to A Boss and A Babe at the end - and sorry but I think I do prefer ABAABs storyline overall to this. And in A Boss and A Babe Jack (played by Mike) was my favourite character and in this Jack was too (played by Gunner), but I also really loved what Cher brought to every scene.
