I was watching this for Lee Jun Hyuk but i think im already bored i guess cuz this isn’t my type of genre 😵💫…
I haven’t seen it but I know people loved him and his romance in Love Scout where he was the lead! I loved him in 365: Repeat the Year - they only hinted at a romance, but he was an incredible lead in that if you want more of a thriller.
That trailer was stunning and after reading a more in depth synopsis I’m even more hyped. I also guess Sammon was involved in the writing of this in some sort of way, because she has been posting non-stop about it the past couple days!
"I am so confused what this isn’t more popular and rated so low..."There is a three-word answer to this…
You’re so right - on MDL it’s so rare for particularly Japanese BLs to break 8.0 weirdly - even after all these years it still surprises me, because they tend to be my favourites. But I really thought that this was good enough be one of those few outliers that could reach 8.3 or 8.4! *sigh*
I’ve loved all the episodes and they really all came together to make episode 5 just so perfect. I need to rewatch it about 100 more times - because that was so painful and then so beautiful - I don’t have the words just WOW. Just that whole hotel sequence - so much was said just through. their eyes! I am so confused what this isn’t more popular and rated so low - like sure the first episode is a little silly and funny, but when you get to 4 and 5 there’s so much pain and fear, it catches you off guard in the best possible way!
This is gorgeous. Like actually stunning visually - every shot is like a work of art and the locations are 10/10 - I like TutorYim but this was slow story-wise. I’m gonna keep on with it because it’s so pretty and they as always have great chemistry, I just hope the script/plot get a little more entertaining.
So that wasn't finished? I don't know much of the process so what script did the pilot have?
The pilots are usually just a way to give the audience and sponsors a really basic idea of the premise and “vibe” of a series. A lot of the time their adaptations of novels so they can grab lines and scenes from the source material, then for original stories the director/screenwriter will have an idea of the overarching plot, but no scripts written too far ahead of filming - a lot probably to do with how busy their schedules are, but it also helps if they need to make changes or entirely scrap a project due to controversy (like Replay) or lack of interest and then someone hasn’t spent ages writing a script that will never see the light of day.
I liked it being set in 2001 and rhe main couple was cute. But from quite early on it felt like one miscommunication after the other and the moments they were arguing or apart, far outweighed their happy and sweet moments.
My favourite thing ended up being the second couple though and that’s with like 15mins screen time together total. I am obsessed with Ouyangs character (his style and being Won Kar Wai fan is 10/10) and seeing him and LiMing go from constant bickering to a possible romance was so gooood! I needed more from them- their final scene had a weird cut and then ended so suddenly! WHY!?
I am so relieved! Enemies with Benefits just release their episode 3 on YouTube - when they had the same streaming release plan as this - that showed beyond episode 2 would only be available on OneD. So it’s official - that’s only a rule for Thai viewers - for inter fans it will all be on YouTube!
I just rewatched their scenes in Fourever You Part 1. I kind of thought they had way more screen time than they did. But it’s so minimal, with an uncertain ending where no feelings are clarified or revealed really. This makes me so excited for the rest of this - I am such a sucker for strangers to best friends to lovers and this looks like that.
wow! I thought this was going to be a tear-free finale of cuteness - but I shouldn’t have expected that from Director Dome. I’m going to be honest - I wasn’t that excited for this from the pilot trailer, but this is a complete work of art that I feel will stay in my heart for a very long time!
From episode 1 or 2 I wasn’t sure if I thought Victor was the real villain in this just because he’s played a couple terrifying BL villains over the past few years, but I’m more sure that it’s not just the type casting that’s giving me villainous vibes now.
This isn’t my favourite series of Mix’s but it is 100% his best performance! He has grown so much as an actor - he killed every single scene he’s in I am just not a “second chance romance” fan. JossGawin started out strong for me but I kind of lost interest as it went on. Then I have to say that AouBoom definitely had my favourite storyline - I just love their dynamic in this. A lot of us have talked about how each couple in Girl Rules has the exact same dynamic and I feel EXACTLY the same way about each of them!
I actually am so surprised by how much I like this. I mean does anyone else feel like their chemistry has gotten a lot stronger - they’re adorable! I have to be honest and say that their love story didn’t really work for me in Part 1. I wasn’t really invested and I’ve kind of forgotten everything other than Suea yearning for Nao. I kind of hope they will expand on or re-do some of their uni storyline, but I don’t feel like they will. I just really loved their dynamic here, super playful and natural. My hopes have been raised!!!
okay okay okay okay… I was mourning having to wait another week when the credits started rolling, but then the trailer for episode 5 came on and why does episode 5 look like it’s actually going to KILL ME - like it genuinely looks INCREDIBLE! This drama is already consuming way too much of my time, why does it look like it’s getting even better?!
