Ok, the first set of episodes had me grinning ear to ear, but I've just finished episode 6 and I'm actually crying! Never in a million years did I think a drama called Meow, The Secret Boy would make me cry! I feel all warm and fuzzy watching this drama. The characters are all *chefs kiss*
Two weeks ago I thought the director was the stalker since Ji Il Joo plays a lot of creepy roles, but they kind of cleared him this week. Then I thought it was the manager guy on her team but then this week they made him seem like a very likely suspect but we are only 6 episodes in so I don't think it's him now either. EVERY time I suspect someone they all the sudden make it clear it's probably not that person. I love that it's keeping me on my toes!
It really surprises me every episode how much I enjoy this drama. I really feel it. It has a lot of heart and you honestly couldnt get a better lead than Moon Ga Young, she completely embodies Ha Jin, and I'd die for Ha Jin!
I cracked up when Ji Hyung Jo tried to put the headphones in Ga Hyuns ears. The music that was playing, it was such a kdrama romcom cliche and I loved how she just pushed him away. I really like their chemistry. I would love for there to be some romance between them in this drama, but I can't tell if the hints they're sending are to let us know there will be romance or if they're parodying romance cliches because there won't be any. It really doesn't need the romance, itd just be a nice bonus.
Really like Tang Xue and Li Yu Bing, they have great interactions and some really fantastic chemistry, but the side couples, like her 2 friends are so boring. I find myself not paying attention when the episodes are all about them. I'm on episode 10, but I don't know if I can continue if it really gives no attention to the leads and growing their relationship. I'm just a bit bored by it now, when I was such a big fan. I can't seem to really get into Chinese dramas. I always drop them!
This is the drama I'm always the least excited about starting new episodes of, but then when I actually watch the episodes I'm sat there with goosebumps and loving every minute of it. So good once you actually get into it!
So weird to see Park Joo Hyun play Ji Soo, a character in her late twenties or early 30s and married in 'A Piece of your Mind' and then now to see her playing the role of a high school student in this drama.
This drama kind of gives me Weightlifting Fairy vibes, apart from it obviously being Chinese and about winter sports. Really similar dynamic with the lead couple. It's cute.
How is Lee Sang Yeob going to be filming this and Once Again, the new weekend drama. He’s a main in both. Sounds like he’s gonna have a seriously busy next couple of months.
I've been in a drama slump for a long time precisely because there were no good romcoms left for me to watch!!…
I'd definitely recommend this one. I smiled the whole way through and it doesn't take itself too seriously. Also it's filled with cute moments already. You can tell the cast are having so much fun. Such a nice break from the dark dramas.
I just finished the first 2 episodes and I'm grinning from ear to ear. We barely get any rom com dramas anymore but this is a classic. I'm so in love and I had high expectations. It's strange and cliched, but it's the type of drama that's been missing from drama land for a little while now! I'm so happy!
Plus they are already started the presale of the ebox with the entire serie plus specials, how can they do that…
I never saw the tweets from the director. I just posted on tumblr that I was annoyed we were getting 2 beach episodes and I got 3 replies referencing tweets that were sent out by the director. I also thought it was very strange but so many people have said that they’ve seen the tweets. the beach stuff was filmed 6 months ago, so I don’t get why it isn’t finished
So the director apparently has now said that after episode 10, best case scenario is that there will be a really long hiatus till the final 2 episodes, or worst case that they will just air 2 long episodes of behind the scenes footage and just release that as the final 2 episodes. This is such a shame. I was really really enjoying this cast and their chemistry, but of course their safety is the most important thing, BUT that doesn't mean that this being the ending doesn't suck less.
So after the first episode I was so confused I was definitely considering dropping this drama but after giving episode 2 a go I'm all the way in. I went in expecting to just feel confused again but I let the drama just wash over me instead and I felt every emotion the characters were portraying and I loved the experience of watching this second episode and I'm very excited for next week now. I actually cried whilst watching a drama I had really disliked an hour before, it's so strange.
