Because everytime he almost took a step to go to her she did/said something that he just misunderstood and thought she didn't like him. Like during the fireworks when he wanted to give her a letter and she made a wish for her career, girly just want to be successful, does it automatically mean she doesn't want to be with you ?

OH and how can forget this annoying, irritating, infuriating, exasperating, maddening and all the words finishing by -ing: YI YANG. This guy thinks we're in middle school when guys used to say "Just because there's a goalkeeper doesn't mean you can't score". It's not funny, cool or romantic it's annoying and pathetic. And what is even more annoying is Shu Yi smiling to him like tf ?? Okay you don't want to be disrecpectful because of work but has he shown you respect when he showed up to your PARENT'S HOUSE unannounced when you guys are not even close to each other ? Between the mom letting him in and Shu Yi giving him water I don't even know at who i'm the most mad at, I almost threw my laptop away in anger. In ep 28 he comes to her workplace to pick her up and she just... follows him ? That's where I stopped and I don't even have the psychological strength to finish the episode cause what the hell is she doing ??
He keeps showing up because she'es giving him the attention he wants. If she had set clear boundaries from the beginning in a very straight way, stopped giving him attention and following him when he asks to, he wouldn't have the confidence to even tell to Shi Yan her bf, that he's pursuing her.

And also Shu Yi always taking advice from her bestie Ruo Shan who didn't even know how to be in a real relationship, best friend that is even hiding her relationship from her. What kind of friendsip is that?
