I completely agree with your POV. I also think Shi Yan biggest problem was maybe a fear of rejection ? Because everytime he almost took a step to go to her she did/said something that he just misunderstood and thought she didn't like him. Like during the fireworks when he wanted to give her a letter and she made a wish for her career, girly just want to be successful, does it automatically mean she doesn't want to be with you ? This guy thinks we're in middle school when guys used to say "Just because there's a goalkeeper doesn't mean you can't score". It's not funny, cool or romantic it's annoying and pathetic. And what is even more annoying is Shu Yi smiling to him like tf ?? Okay you don't want to be disrecpectful because of work but has he shown you respect when he showed up to your PARENT'S HOUSE unannounced when you guys are not even close to each other ?
