With new perception comes great tears TLDR A FUKCING MASTERPIECE
May 16, 2021HOLY FUCKING HELL, I JUST BAWLED THE FUCK OUT OF MY EYES. This show is A FUCKING MASTERPIECE AND WHEN I SAY A MASTER FUCKING PIECE. A LITERAL MASTERPIECE. This show is an eye-opener for people. The plot is well written, every episode you see new stories being told. And you can help but wonder, what new life lesson will I learn? I am so sad to say goodbye to the series, where I finally learned what it feels like to appreciate the little things in my life.
Geuru's Uncle, first of all, I just wanna say that he had the greatest character development out of all the kdramas that I have watched this year. I feel the ounce of betrayal and angst that he felt. I feel pity for the things that he lost and you can say that if he never met Geuru, he would probably living this lifestyle right now.
Nummo (is that how you spell it??) aka Geuru's neighbor friend, I just wanna say thank you to her. She is the greatest friend ever, I love everything that she does and does for Geuru and how her friendship evolved with Geuru's Uncle.
As for Geuru, THE ACTOR THAT PLAYED HIM IS SO TALENTED. I AM SEEING A HUGE POTENTIAL FOR THIS BOY. I DEFINITELY THINK THAT HE WILL HAVE A GREAT FUTURE. I will definitely miss Geuru's personality. He may be timid and only speak when he feels like he needs to. But I fucking love this kid, I will take a bullet for him to be honest.
I HOPE YOU ALL WILL WATCH AND LOVE THIS SERIES. IT'S DEFINITELY SOMETHING THAT YOU WON'T EVER REGRET TO WATCH AND SURELY SOMETHING THAT WILL YOU ALWAYS REMEMBER. I HOPE YOU LEARN SOME LIFE LESSONS AS WELL AS YOU PROGRESS THROUGH THE SERIES. BEST WISHES!!

Watermelon on a sunny day vibes
Nov. 14, 2023Twinkling Watermelon is the best KDRAMA of this quarter for 2023. Everything for me was just perfect. The writing, the dialogue, the execution of the scenes, the pace, and the ending. It was so well-done.
I genuinely haven’t felt this type of emotion within the past few years, but this KDRAMA gave me all the feelings that I need. There wasn’t any unnecessary filler and sub-plots. All the things that were presented, were in tied and put well together. There is nothing I can even say that is incoherently bad about Twinkling Watermelon. There is so much life lessons that were shown here like living for yourself and not for your parents. Live the life that you want. It is such a heart warming KDRAMA. I have definitely can say that this is an S-TIER KDRAMA.
It deserves the hype and the love that it is getting right now. Twinkling Watermelon has given me so much comfort that I know that I will be rewatching this again and again. I love how the youthfulness was shown. The fantasy aspect was amazing and I really feel that inner child of mine being healed in a sense.
The cast is amazing from the current time period to the past time period. They all executed their roles well and I cannot believe I am saying good bye to them. My Mondays and Tuesdays will now be feeling more hollow and the joy that this series have given me was truly just spectacular.
To Yi Chan and Cheong Ah: I truly believe that you guys are such important figures in terms of showcasing that you really gotta fight and push through with life. No matter how things can get rough and challenging. Seeing them push through and over coming their challenges is definitely a life lesson that I will be keeping in my mind. As I also flourish with age, and my youth will slowly disappear. I wish I can age and find a love that they have to each other.
To Eun-Gyeol and Eun-Yoo: I heavily relate with you guys. Having that expectations from my own parents definitely have made me feel super pressured and it did boggle with my mental health. I think your scenes have definitely triggered some of my own hidden emotions that I have been running away from as well. I guess a letter to myself is that like how you two were able to succeed and fight through the course of life. I will be able to tackle my problems head on too. And I will not have to resort to just running away from it.
I truly felt the roller coaster ride type of emotions while watching Twinkling Watermelon. I do find myself having comfort with the cast and the series. I wish you guys can give this show the love that it deserves. This show has definitely jumped into my top 5 Kdrama series for sure.
Viva la vida !

Fuckass Finale
July 3, 2026What the fuck is that ending?
I am genuinely so appalled cause I really look forward to watching and finishing this series. Honestly, I will take ep 11 as the main ending cause I refuse to accept that ending. It's open ended and it feels so out of place. Rushed, incoherently done. I don't even know how to explain how confused I was as I watched the last episode. Are they trying to imply that they both will die because of the meteor or it's one of those last moments before the final doom. I feel like at this point they should have just given us a sad ending than whatever ending they came up with.
Regardless, I loved watching the progression of our main characters, they had the strongest chemistry ever. I truly loved it. Ep 1 to 11, you will be missed thoroughly.

Always rooting for the Anti-hero
Nov. 29, 2023Finishing Vigilante definitely solidified the strength of Nam Joo Hyuk's acting skills. I may have not read the webtoon version of it so my opinion is definitely much different than those who have read it.
But for someone, who only watched Vigilante and not the webtoon. I must say that this is a pretty solid drama. I feel like the 8 episode format was okay. Though, I wish it was a bit longer. I feel like I need more explanation and details in regards to the plot development and structure. Since this is an crime-solving action drama, I was really hoping for a stronger grasp of plot development from the writers. Or maybe a better execution from the directors? Not quite sure but it lacks that type of feeling, I just can't seem to point out.
Nevertheless, this is still a pretty good drama regarding my few critiques. Definitely add on your watchlist!

A timeless and majestic series
Edit: Dec. 29, 2022Watching The Untamed again just before this year ends was definitely the best decision I have ever made. Up to this day, I still cannot find a Chinese drama to top this series. It's just too fucking good. TO more edits may come to this review as I rewatch again in the latter years. Just posting and pushing the narrative to watch this damn series if you haven't already
Feb 26, 2021
THE UNTAMED IS ONE OF THE MOST BRILLIANT WELL WRITTEN CHINESE DRAMA IN HISTORY. There is not a single episode wasted. Although it might 50 episodes long, I am still craving for a second season. The chemistry between the two male leads are superior. It is unfortunate that they couldn’t add the romantic scenes due to censorship. However, the constant gaze and choice of words of Wei Wuxian and Lan Zhan are superior into expressing their love and care for each other.
Wei Wuxian’s selflessness and braveness are something that are hard to find these days. The 16 year of separation due to his death was painful to watch. Can you imagine losing your partner for 16 years? Lan Zhan was strong to handle that. Also, taking care of their “adoptive child” Wen Yuan. Lan Zhan was like a single dad for 16 years. And when Wei Wuxian came back, Lan Zhan cherishes him even more. He is always there for Wei Wuxian even if everyone is against him.
Wen Ning, I love you so much. You are the best best friend ever!! Your loyalty to Wei Wuxian is superior. I am sad that you died in an unjustifiable way. But I am happy you came back as a fierce corpse. Maybe when you reach afterlife, you will see your sister Wen Qing again.
ANYWAYS WATCH THE UNTAMED IF YALL HAVENT THIS IS SUPERIOR. ONE OF MY ULTIMATE FAVOURITE CHINESE DRAMA!!!

STUPID FUCKING BELL
Sept 2, 2022Whoa, this is such an amazing drama. As someone who struggles to finish historical dramas, Alchemy of Soul just hits different. This season is so good that I cannot wait for the next season in December. I have so many theories right now on what possibly might happen and I having high hopes for what the Hong sisters will bring in terms of writing the script for season 2. I think other reviewers here have already mentioned what I wanna say but I just really wanna emphasize my love for Yul. I think Yul is such an amazing character, I feel like all the things that he did for Mu-deok/Naksu was just amazing. I think Yul is an under appreciated character within the viewers. As for Uk and Naksu (because yk 👀 ), I love their chemistry and now that we are switching from Somin to Young-jung is really hyping me up for season 2.
I cant waitttt, so for those who are reading this, go WATCH ALCHEMY OF SOUL ON NETFLIX RIGHT NOW 😤

TIME LOOP EXPERIENCE
Feb. 25, 2022Reset is actually a drama that is recommended to me by a friend. To be quite frank, I actually rarely watch these types of genres or dramas as they are not my cup of tea. But to my quite a surprise Reset is actually such an interesting drama.
The characters are well-thought-out though I did have some issues with the writing of the plot. I feel like they could have explained things more. But I guess that's one of the key points with sci-fi time travelling dramas, THEY DON'T EXPLAIN EVERYTHING. So I guess if you don't like dramas with no full closure. Maybe this one is not for you.
Also, I was a bit sad when our Cat-boy did not enter the loop. I really thought he was gonna be part of it and they are gonna be a trio. Oh well. 😢

I wish my summer was beloved too
Feb. 20, 2022Oh damn, another drama done on my ever-growing list of k-dramas. I can't believe it’s done. Our Beloved Summer is one of the few dramas where I will excuse the "break up" parts because it is so well thought out and not like those unnecessary breakups in other dramas.
The chemistry is splendid, I think that the male lead and female lead were able to convey the emotions needed. I like how the acting is just appropriate and the casts were not overacting or underacting. Also, the documentary movie was so cute as well. I kinda skipped it through while watching since I cannot find the subtitles. But I'll edit this review, once I find the subtitle for their move.
Ji-ung is the character that I have a lot to talk about. For me, I relate heavy to his story so maybe this is why he captured my heart and my attention throughout the whole series. Yes, it is hard to accept parents who have neglected you throughout your whole life. I also understand why he felt that way. I just wanna hug him so bad cause he needs it so much. Thank god, he was able to find some sense of family with Ung's parents. I really hope that Ji-ung was given a solid partner, but I'll settle for the hint that the directors gave away.
I guess the moral of the story is: cherish your life and live as if it is you're last...

One of the best enemies to lover dramas out there!
Jan. 23, 2022Oh my gawd, Bad Buddy is that show, it is so fking good, I can't believe I have to say goodbye to this. But on a positive note, I do am starting this year with a top tier BL Drama. I think this is one of the most unproblematic shows in the BL industry. From no stupid break-ups to misunderstanding. And the fact they are not succumbing to the stereotypical 'wife' and 'husband' roles towards gay couples or lesbian couples is just astonishing. I love how Pat and Pran are able to communicate effectively with each other, and how they were able to accept their sexuality for who they are. AND ALSO HELLO, THE BI/PAN REPRESENTATION HERE YALLS! I just love how our main couple here are indirectly described Pat as "Pan" and Pran as "Bi". Though others might disagree, from their dialogue in that one episode, I can definitely prove my point on why I think those might be their sexual orientation. Moreover, the chemistry is just off the charts, hello 👋 . I was feeling butterflies 🦋 throughout the series. The fact that Pran has one of the best facial expressions in commanding his emotions just says on how good of an actor he is. Pat being such a caring and loving boyfriend made me so jealous.
Also, I love our side couple, the fact that there is a lesbian couple representation just says a lot about this series. I wished they had more screentime but all in all, it's all good.
Okay imma just cry now cause my attachment issues can't 😭

Amazing chemistry but what happened to the plot?
April 16, 2021I feel like the series started out with a bang like literally. But I was just so disappointed with the plot itself. I was so frustrated like I was skipping so much throughout the 2nd half of the series. Maybe I am burned out from watching so many BLs but I am not sure. I see so many good reviews and I just don't vibe nor like the series, Korn and Knock definitely saved the show since I was so close to dropping it. Maybe season 2 will be better?? Who knows...
I usually write longer reviews but I am so disappointed that I just wanna forget I watched this. Hopefully, Manner Of Death is good since MaxTul is starring that as well...
STAN YIHWA FOR CLEAR SKIN SHE LITERALLY IS THE ONLY BAD BITCH CHARACTER THAT I STAN. ALSO PRAISE TO THE ACTORS THEY REALLY DID WELL EVEN THO I HATE THE PLOT.

Sun and Mork are show stealer
April 12, 2021Dark Blue Kiss gives a realistic perspective of what couples face. It has it flaws but overall it was a pretty good show to watch.
As much as I love Pete and Kao, Sun and Mork really stole the spotlight for this show. I feel like they showed better development and growth. They also revived the show from doom in my opinion.
Pete and Kao's storyline were a bit condescending in my opinion. As much as I love their chemistry, I could feel the frustration between their misunderstanding. There are certain points where I just wish these two would open up more and which they did. But there's so much part that could have been cut down from their misunderstanding and show more growth of their relationship.
Pete's Dad and Kao's Mom are some of the best parents to exist in the BL world. I love these two so much, I wish I could be like them if I decide to have kids in the future.
Sun and Mork, hands down strong asf chemistry. Their flirtation just gives me the feels. Like every time Sun tease Mork, HOLY MOTHER OF DAMN. Sun really loves him. Of course, they had misunderstandings as well and I got frustrated about it too. But I was so interested in their storyline more than our main couple. Sorry, not sorry!! Also, their moments on the last episode got me wheezing especially when they talked about their respective position. I be like hmm y'all be like that huhh...
Also, we stan a supportive friend group!! They are the best, they really help each other to communicate. They are actual squaad goalssssss

So good except the end
Nov. 26, 2024What Comes After Love could have been that drama of the year as it is a collaboration between the Korean and Japanese entertainment. Needless to say, the potential was so good. The first half was so good, starting from the flashbacks and storyline progression. BUT they had to pull that lame as ending. By episode 6, I was skipping so much. I was gonna give this show a 7 but because they did so well in the beginning, I pushed for an 8.
So all in all, it is actually not as bad, and I dropped so many dramas for the last quarter of this year as they have all been snoozefest, and boring.
The casts are amazing, Jungo and Beni, they portrayed their role well. Feel so mf bad for the second lead, but I guess it is what it is.
The mom of Beni, could have honestly been more developed but I guess given the short time frame with 6 episode maybe thats why it felt short.
Speaking of short, this drama could have been easily a 10 episode series but why on Earth did they choose the 6 epi format. So many routes they could have dealt with. And expanded. Even the back stories, and their time in Japan. I like to think that there was so much potential and the foundation was there to execute it. So why didn't the directors do it then 😭
Anyway, I genuinely think Ill only ever rewatch this is because the love they had in Japan was cute and lovely and the leads too. Their chemistry is just overall chef's kiss!

It was good until ....
Feb. 20, 2024Marry My Husband could have been that A/S-tier Kdrama of 2024. So much hopes and endearment for this drama until it crashed and meticulously added unnecessary plots during its episodes 12-15.5.
As someone who have read the webtoon, I did expect changes to the plot. However, I still believe that even after reading the webnovel version as well. The webtoon is just the best version of Marry My Husband.
Now on the good of the Kdrama version:
- The first 12 episodes were done well.
- Even with the subtle changes of the plot, you can tell that everything was moving at a desirable pace the keeps you hooked until the latter episodes.
- The growth of the characters were also well done during this portion of the series
- The subplots were amazing and were still connected to the main plot. In a sense, that it gives more flavour. More texture to the series. (talking only about up to ep 12)
The bad:
- Yura's subplot single handedly ruined the show for me.
- I personally hated all of her scenes, and it just made me skip everything and put it on fast-forward.
- I love BoA as an idol but oh my god, her acting skills did not help either with Yura's character. It made everything so bland, annoying, like she is not giving anything. Her expression were bland. I just think that maybe if a different actress portrayed Yura, then maybe I would have liked her subplot more. 🤷♂️ I still think that Sumin was the better villain and she's all the villain that we needed to be honest.
- The disappearance of the other characters subplot. Yes I am hoping that the kdrama could at least cover the lovestory of Eun-ho and Hui Yeong as well as the female manager who got divorced from her husband. I just wished that at least they followed and gave details like the webtoon did. I feel like these two subplots could have easily outshined and taken over whatever length of airtime that Yura took.
Rewatch quality? Yea of course Ill rewatch this again. Only ep 1-12 then jump ep 15.5-16
Overall feeling I really just wished they sticked to the webtoon version. I could have taken a 14 episodes instead of 16 episodes if that means Yura will be removed from the storyline.

Fluffy and cute
Jan. 22, 2024Another Jmovie, I have finished.
And Yet, You Are So Sweet is a Japanese movie that you definitely do not want to miss, if you love diabetes fluffy type of rom-com. The plot is very basic, the prognosis of the plot is decent. There are misunderstanding that other viewers might find frustrating to watch. However, it wasn't that bothersome to me. I did feel like the run-time is quite long but short at the same time. The ending could have been better, but I guess that is a common theme with all movies, is the fact that they all have abrupt and weirdly knotted conclusions.
Regardless, this fluffy Japanese movie, is definitely a go to rom-com to watch on those days where you don't wanna use your brain to think and just relax.

Who is the real monster here?
Jan. 20 2024I have dont have the exact words to say but this is absolutely a stunning piece of literature. I love every single bits of it. Prepare your tissues cause you are gonna need it a lot. The emotional rollercoaster I had to face. The scenes of the two leads and their innocence. How cruelty of this world is the real monster and not those who love others in a way that is not the "norm". The feeling of disappointment and feeling outcasted. Wishing to just be normal so you can find love. Disappointing your loved ones because they cannot accept for who you are. Wishing to live in a world where you feel accepted and love. To not be hated by society and be frown upon.
Monster 2023 movie explains this well. Strong signs of symbolism are present in the movie. The ending is open for your interpretation. And for me, it is that they are free. Free to live. Free to choose. Free to be themselves.
It is truly agonizing to realize how many people are basically experiencing this themselves. I hope everyone receives that happy ending we all deserve. Even though, life is cruel and unfair.
The amount of tears I produced was insane.
I hope everyone gives Monster the love that it deserves !
