BOMBASS WUXIA
Feb 18, 2026OMFG I LOVE THIS TRANSMIGRATION WUXIA.
It hits so good, the angst, the yearning, the chemistry are such so motherfucking bomb.
The plot hits from the sidelines, main plots, sub plots, and twists. It really kept me up on my toes and wanting more and more.
I got spoiled by people saying how different the ending is from the novel. But since I never read it prior to watching the series. I have no issues with the ending the show provided either way!

Not a single second I felt bored
Jan. 8, 2023Alchemy of Souls 2 is one of the best decisions I have ever made to watch. It is the superior, S fking tier Kdrama. This series really raised the standard right away for the year of 2023. We really are setting the bar up high.
Major shoutout to the Hong Sisters for writing this epic masterpiece. They really ate up their works back to back to back.
Although this season was only 10 episodes long. I felt that they were able to conclude everything in such an amazing way. The pacing is just right and I never felt boredom or a waste of time. Alchemy of Souls hold such a special place in my heart that I will definitely be watching it over and over, again and again.
Jang-Uk, you are the best husband I could ever ask for. Like I am so tired of Jang-Uk slander for this season cause this man's delivered and slaughtered everyone (like literally) for his beautiful wife. As for Buyeon/Naksu, I do wish, she had more scenes showing her divine powers and her strength. But you know what, it is okay. The wedding was a little sad cause it was only with the celibacy guy (I forgot his name)... but they the ending was so satisfying.
My emotions was so high, I was ready to cry and I cried. I cried so damn motherfucking hard. I really thought... I really thought... so the relief that I had after finishing the series definitely compensated for my palpitating heart.
ALCHEMY OF SOULS, YOU WILL BE MISSED I CAN'T BELIEVE I AM SAYING GOODBYE. IT'S BEEN A JOURNEY FROM MUDEOK TO BUYEON/NAKSU & JANG-UK. MY LOVES I WILL MISS YALL SO MUCH. UNTIL I REWATCH THIS AGAIN...
So what are yalls waiting for. GO WATCH ALCHEMY OF SOULS BOTH SEASONS NOW 😤

ANG GANDA
Dec 8, 2025OMG i finally finished this show, i am so happy na finish ko na siya.
I really love watching VivaOne Teleserye since it helps me strengthen my Tagalog since I am not as fluent. It really makes me feel satisfied with the adaptation since I also read the wattpad novel version.
Sam and Clyden's story hits so damn different, knowing everything that they put me through.
I really love the cast, I know people were a bit harsh on the actor portraying Clyden but at the same time, maybe its just that high Filipino beauty standards, nevertheless, he still is pogi for me to be Clyden.
Among the University series, you can really tell, this one had good budgeting! And I hope it keeps up especially with the on-going show right now with Arkin and Via.

Fluffy yet angsty
March 19, 2025WAW. This is probably the first drama that I finished and did not drop for this year.
First Frost is a heavy drama I must say, given the FL background and how she deals with her mental health. This drama for sure is not like Hidden Love although they are part of the same universe.
I understand why this show has gained a traction in popularity with the viewers and I think it is pretty well deserved. The plot was pretty decent, I did think that some subplots for the second leads or other characters could have been slimmed down. There are instances where I feel like they took over a whole episodes and that could have been given to the leads.
I think that the chemistry we have here is through the roof. Sang Yan's is the greenest, a whole forest type of man. FOR SURE HE ONLY EXISTS IN FAIRYTALE FICTIONAL LAND BUT I HOPE HE EXISTS. A MAN CAN DREAM AM I RIGHT

Ge to Gege ?
April 24, 2024Unknown has definitely been one of the well-written Taiwanese Bls in the last few years.
Yup, I said it. I think Taiwan was going through a slump of BLs in terms of their production and such. As I dropped a lot of the released BLs over the past few years.
The reason why I could not give this series a solid 10/10 is just that I could not really feel settle or fully feel comfortable regarding the leads. I know that they aren't blood related at all and by any means, they are basically strangers who just happened to become a family. Or like raised together as a parent/son? Older brother/younger brother ... See even saying this whole sentence, it already kind of makes me feel unsettled. I guess that's my only critique of this fictional show. I do know that there are many many series with this type of plot synopsis but still, I think that is for sure the reason why it just doesn't seem like a 10/10 drama for me.
Now in terms of all the positive aspects of this show:
- It is well-written. Both leads are written well, for their background, their motivation to succeed in time. In terms of accepting themselves given how society perceives them.
- This also goes to the supporting leads as well. Each of them are developed and there might be a few jagged scenes here and there. Regardless, it was not something that was so distracting and can go unnoticeable.
- The ending was amazing, it encompasses the vulnerability, yet steamingly hot and mature scenes. It was absolutely beautiful and I love it.

It's so beautiful the lowratings are a scam.
Sep 27, 2023HOLY SHIT. I have been putting this bl in the back burner because the ratings were saying about how boring this show and not great. However, I decided to finally pick it up after months and months of postponing it. First episode hits so damn good.
I already felt hooked to this drama right from the pilot. Every episode was pretty good in my opinion. I have some few critiques with the plot. But damn, I personally think that this drama was critiqued way too harshly. Maybe because it is more on the melodrama side and it is not the typical fluffy BLs out there.
Also, I just want to shout out Fumiya's character because he is such a green flag. He literally climbed by bl green flags list so fast, I need him in my life.
As of today's date, this show has a rating of 7.7 which I believe is too low. This deserves an 8.0 rating at the very least. Jack o frost bl is literally so much better in terms of many aspect in comparison to the highly rated bls for this year js.
I hope you give this show a chance like I did. Cause it definitely deserves a much better recognition !

Smart female lead who is always a step ahead
January 2, 2023THE GLORY is definitely the way to start off 2023 with the KDRAMA world. I felt the angst, the revenge, and all the other fking emotions I got to feel.
It is so satisfying for Song Hye Kyo to comeback in this badass drama. To be honest, I could not care less regarding the lack of romance as it does not put a thing with the plot. So hopeful for season 2, I do wish this series was not split cough cough NETLFIX cough cough.
Anyhow, REVENGE. KARMA. WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND.

To My Star Season 2: Our Untold Stories

Is it really a sequel without some angst?
July 9, 2022To My Star 2: Our Untold Stories really hit the fking nerves. Like I am not kidding, when I tell you how communication is such an important thing for a relationship to flourish and survive. I know there are major critiques about this sequel but let me just tell you how I genuinely liked it. Obviously, there are flaws within this season that could have been better, but you know what this series has a special place in my heart. With bias that I am heavily and knowingly acknowledging, I just want to say that this is not as bad as what others have said.
Major spoilers:
Let me just get started with the biggest critique: miscommunication and how the sequel did not outdo the first season. First of all, yes the miscommunication part was a little dragged out. It was frustrating to see Seojun get hurt by Jiwoo as who on Earth leaves their boyfriend like that. Like hello???? I would have literally beaten the fuck out of Jiwoo, for fucks sake. As for how the sequel didn't do justice, I guess it really just depends on people's standpoint and taste. Personally, I like this season, I find it realistic, as much as I criticize Jiwoo's action, I feel like this happens to a lot of people. And if I am being honest I was like Seojun too, I felt his pain right to the core. The feeling of having everything going well then suddenly it actually is not, just feels like a slap to myself. Not gonna lie, I cried so hard, especially during the point where someone told Seojun that "it is enough" or something like that. And how Seojun tried his best to get back with Jiwoo and he should finally move on. I felt that. I bawled my eyes out because I know the pain and the devasting and detrimental it is to our mental health. It wasn't healthy, but I guess the only good thing about it was Seojun got his "happy" ending which isn't the case for most of us.
On another side note (is this even a review at this point...), I really thought this was going to be a sad ending... Before revealing Jiwoo's side, I was hating him so much to the point where I didn’t even want to see him as the end game. I know what his reasons are now, but I feel like maybe a bittersweet ending would have been better...
Anyhow, this season slaps, like literally ... slaps me to point of crying ... breh

One of the best top tier Korean BL at the moment
August 31, 2021I have been on a slump lately so I have been watching Asian dramas and constantly dropping them after a few episodes. But Light On Me saved me and served right. Everything was done well, there were not unnecessary troupes that are commonly found in other BLs. The relationship of the two are so healthy and non-toxic. It's so realistic that it makes me so jealous of the characters. There was a love triangle but I am happy how it is not dragged on. Everything pretty much went by smoothly. Although, it is noticeable how this drama has a lower budget given the circumstances. But all in all, I am very happy with how everything went through. I suck at remembering names but Shinwoo, my mans 😍. I love him so much.
Holy crap, where can I find a man like him. I need him, he is so respectful and very sincere. I know in the beginning, he was a bit cold and rude but he's one of the best tsundere ever. Like dayum, all I can think about is him. He really stand out among the cast from acting to character development. I know how things are especially given how people are still very narrow minded and that coming out can be a pain. Especially with how some friendship will turn hostile in the end and how often bullying occurs. Given his middle school backstory, I literally cried for him. Because it hits so close to home. I know how it feels and that I am so happy for him to finally have courage and be himself. Also thank god, he was the endgame. I was so close to booking it to Korea cause I thought TGK will choose Da On.
Damn, what a review, I pretty much talked about Shinwoo only. But can you even blame me... Anyway, I hope y'all give this series a chance!!!

Emotionally touching
Aug 6, 2021Whoa that was quite a ride. At a Distance, Spring is Green is definitely that drama that gives a touch of reality and showcases the cliché statement of "don't judge a book by its cover". Every character has its own flaws but they were able to redeem themselves later on. I guess the sense of maturity that this drama gave is just exceptionally well written.
Although I much as I love the series, I think I was just not in the right season to watch this series that is why I can't give this series a perfect score. But I do feel that the two male leads have so much chemistry. Since this is not a BL, their bromance factor is off the chart. Like damn, I actually feel so much chemistry that it definitely overshadowed the chemistry of certain BL dramas 🍵.
Also OUR TRIO IS JUST THE BEST. OUR THREE MUSKETEERS REALLY DID THAT. One of the few friendships in the kdrama world where I saw a huge character development of the whole crew.
Though, I am a bit mad on how Soo Hyun's love life have concluded. Like WRITERS WTF, WHY IS MY SHIP NOT SAILED. LIKE THAT'S actually SO frustrating I wanna bash my head into the wall. So I definitely will pretend that it did not happen. Cause the writers were mad petty for giving him that condescending ending. 😡

Whoa my tears were just flowing endlessly
July 18, 2021Oh waw, what a week! I spent this whole watching Word of Honour and every night I just cried. Make sure to have some tissues because my emotions were unstable as heck. HOLY, how can someone think of such a plot. Also, damn... how did this even pass the censorship?? LIke the flirtatious moments from Wen Ke Xing was just phenomenal. Though I must say I love this series from its casts to some parts of the story. I will explain why I gave the plot a significantly lower rating than the other 3 components.
👇 SPOILERS DOWN BELOW and a rant 😅 👇
First of all, I love how they tried to lay out the story. But I must say the bits near the ending and the finale itself could have been significantly better. Like I understand that in Wuxian dramas' side characters are usually killed off. BUT THE WORD OF HONOUR just did not give me a good convincing on why Cao Wei Ning and Ah Xiang have to die. Like how is that bastard the "father" of scorpion king and scorpion king still alive. LIke that just pissed me off. Sure maybe the writers wanted us to experience pain and I just hate them for that. I feel like the author just got lazy with the writing of the end. Like I will happily accept Cao Wei Ning and Ah Xiang's death if the writers just gave us a good reason. Like WTF, when I saw that part, I just flipped out cause what is this honey??? Like the way, they killed these two was just poorly done. Maybe I am too harsh, but that's my opinion.
And WTF is the ending. Like e it's just so condescending... How can you start such a well off plot just for it to fall into that ... mess ? .... I don't even think an appropriate word can express my disappointment in the ending.
So in summary
Pilot till maybe ep 30 ish solid, 10/10
30 ish till finale solid 6/10
Would I still recommend this??
Duh of course, I really wanted to give this series a solid 10/10
But with that part, I will settle for a 9.5 instead 😅

i did it for thomaskong
June 28, 2026WHOA, Your Sky, was definitely an interesting watch. At first, I dropped this series because I was not feeling the first episode. However, as it progressed to episode 2 and3, that is when it really starts peaking for me. I really like the ThomasKong chemistry and overall tandem. The lackluster plot definitely was overshadowed by their chemistry hence why I was able to finish the show. I truly did have fun watching it, and similar to Duang With You, it's kind of like those trashy rom coms that is a guilty pleasure. It's so cringe but its so good that you still keep wanting more. I do think that overall, that these highschool BL cliché are just the norm for the pairs to break into the Thai Industry especially with DmD mostly always putting highschool BLs as their couples launch into the industry.

So cliché but so cute
June 5, 2026Duang With You is some cliche romance final boss Thai BL. I am not sure what kind of condition possessed Duang because he is so hilarious. It does not even feel like a drama, it feels like I am watching a sit-com every time he pulls his random antics. I genuinely do think that Duang and Qin is just TeeTee and Por in real life.
Their chemistry is amazing hence why I can see why the ratings for this series is so high. Though, I must say, the plot is doable to watch but it took me a while to finish it. Not gonna lie, I do think the ratings are heavily influenced by the casts rather than the plot. Regardless, it is a cute show to watch and good dose of comedy injected into your veins.

So cute and fluffy
Feb. 15, 2026I finished this in like two days and this show is cute and fluffy.
It is very much binge worthy and really hits the spot.
I love the main leads so much, the way they act and the chemistry they give is just amazing.
I feel like the drama was just right paced and really embodies the succinct pacing that Jdramas in general give-off. No major issues, nor love triangles. Just a good capture of what queerlove is kinda about.

LUKAL LUKAL
Dec. 13, 2025Luna and Kalix are the first couple of the University Series and for this adaptation, I purposely watched this last just because I know the budget would be on the lower end. However, the casts and the team really did justice to the book adaptation, there are moments where I felt like I did not need notice the low budget of the series. And the fact that the scenes were not as rough as I expected.
I think my only critique is how they kept doing present and past scenes in an episode, I feel like having the book timeline would have been better instead of this experimental approach that they used.
