S-tier show, a memoir of life
March 30, 2025I love this drama. After being on hiatus from watching drama series, When Life Gives You Tangerines set the stone in developing the strength of what it takes to really amply and tell that slice-of-life melodrama.
This drama is so good, it is well produced. The execution of scenes, the casts, the storytelling, it brought me to life. To really have more appreciation for how my life is no matter how shitty and low life can be. It is true, we need to take care of ourselves. There are instances where we had no choice but to really compromise. I love it. I feel so speechless finishing it now. Binging it for 2 days definitely shows how hooked I was. I could not put it on hold.
I feel that empathy really is highlighted in this show because the way we can see parallels between the generations of people. Life truly is just like that.
The life lessons, the perspectives, the risks, the tragedy, the failure, the happiness, the grief of losing our loved ones, aging, all of these are just so raw. Hence why this show really connected to me and my heart strings were tug a couple times for sure. Afterall, there is no villain in this show, just the course of nature and how life goes...

trashy good...?
Oct. 22, 2022Little Women is okay. I don't really have anything else to say as the writers sort-of dragged everything until the last minute and then crunch it all in one go. Plot was definitely something, I mean the casts were really good. I felt the appropriate emotions that I need especially with how the sisters can be sometimes. This show really tested my patient.
Definitely those dramas to watch when you don't know what else to do. Skippable episodes definitely in this series and its only 12 episodes too... so yea.... that's that.

Too hot for the Rain
Edit April 26, 2023. For some reason I can't watch Sky and Prapai. So this 9.5/10 review is only the first half of the series.September 30, 2022
Review for: Payu and Rain arc
Oh my god! Love In The Air: Payu and Rain is the bitch. They ran and pushed forth as one of my favourite bls for this year. I was originally going to wait until Nov to watch this series in a binge way. But one of my friends said that the first main couple's story was done now. So I decided to watch it right away. To be frank, I only started watching this show yesterday and I finished Payu and Rain's plot already, which were episodes 1-7. The reason I put the 9 on the story segment is because I feel like yea there are parts that don't make sense especially in episode 7. If you know, you know ahahah. Anyway, that part didn’t really bother me too much, I kinda skip my way away from what happened. So yes, in a way I kinda did shut off my brain regarding certain part of the plot. I guess the reason why some of the plot holes didn't bother me too much is because of how great the actors are in this series. If I am being honest, if the casts were only giving 'mid' tier or poor acting, I would have probably dropped this series just purely based on the plot. BUT since the casts carried the show and I just want to say how excellent the chemistry is between Payu and Rain.
In terms of their relationship, this might be one of Mame's least toxic unhealthy legal-friendly relationship that she has written. To be honest, I tend to avoid any dramas that she is involved just because of how unhealthy and how uncomfortable I felt in her other dramas I gave a shot. In which, I ultimately dropped. I don't know I just can't tolerate cheating and really pushy behaviours. However, for this one, Mame did a pretty good job in keeping Payu&Rain's relationship healthier.
I am so excited for Sky's arc to unfold so I will be back on Nov-ish... unless I get busy with other things. Anyways, until then soldiers!

I wanted more
Oct 15, 2023Taikan Yoho is definitely one of the better bls released for the last quarter of 2023. Although, it poses the very red flag and toxic male lead, Segasaki, he is not as bad as what you might expect from the synopsis.
Obviously, this bl is adapted from a manga, so the delivery of certain lines was a bit off when the actors portrayed it. But nevertheless, it was not a huge thing for me to notice or for me to drop the show.
The plot is pretty cute but I did feel like the ending did not give a very good closure of the series. It just seemed like it got cut off right there.
I still think that the series is pretty decent in terms of comparison with the on going/recently released asian BLs.
Please give this show some love as it deserves it!

Slow and smooth
March 31, 2024Jazz for Two is a decent Korean BL drama. It has some homophobic and violent content so, if you are looking for fluffy and cute plots, then I suggest that this might not be the show for you.
I feel like the manhwa will give you a better understanding of the characters given how short the series is. So there are instances where the plot feels jagged in terms of the storyline of our leads. I do love their dynamic and the chemistry is definitely there. It isn't as strong as what I expected from them, but I guess this is my bias in comparison to the manhwa.
Nevertheless, it was still a fun ride watching Jazz for Two and I hope you guys can give this KBL a shot !

ANOTHER WAY TO REWATCH on heavy focus with our main leads
Mar. 13 , 2024I actually did not know that this version exists until I was on my rewatching moment with The Untamed and I stumbled upon this version.
Needless to say, I definitely loved this version as well. The focus towards Lan Zhan and Wei Wuxian is just chef's kiss. The fact that the subtle change in the ending really made this version so good.
As someone who loves The Untamed. I heavily vouch to not watch this special version cut and watch the original version. As this has made so much cut regarding very important details and back stories. IF YOU HAVENT THE ORIGINAL YET. However, if you are like me and love to rewatch series over and over again. Then this special version is perfect for you. It is much easier to watch given how compressed it is as well.
CHEERS !!

Amazing storyline with charismatic casts
Feb. 1, 2024Love for Love's Sake is that Korean drama BL. It is one of the best written shows for the BL genre in a while. I am so happy and amazed at how the storyline progressed. Each episodes, the story just keeps hitting the write spot. And I am really really happy at how the Kdrama community is showing love and recognition to this type of plot line. As a big manhwa reader, this type of plot may not be other people's cup of tea as it is very unrealistic in terms of how it is a gameline and kind of like an isekai genre.
Huge shout out to the production team and the manhwa creator as they really put the work needed to make this show just fantastic. I love the "learning"?, or the theme that they were conveying. Especially with the execution of the scenes. Although, there were parts that were omitted from the manhwa. It wasn't something that bothered me as much.
In terms of the casts, I love them all. They did equally well in terms of portraying the characters to life, and they were even able to put their own little spice and twists to them.
I can't believe that the year has just started and Korea has already produced a remarkable BL that sets the standards so high.
Please continue to give the reception and love this show deserves!

The greenest of the all
Jan. 26, 2024If It's With You, Japanese BL was a show that I have been seeing and hearing for the past few weeks. When I first started it, I wasn't really feeling the plot. But it got so good so quick. Every episode I was wanting more and more. The story is very simple but the execution is so well written. To think that both leads are rare breeds who are very green flag, positive people, who wants to communicate. Actually, they communicate their feelings pretty well. Any issues that might arise they will fix it asap. I love how they are able to express their feelings without hiding it to each other. They are the ideal couple that we all should be looking for. I want what they have so bad. For such highschool type of drama, I was getting so much butterfly like I am jealous that I was not able to experience such type of love.
I also find it so ironic that the drama that I didn't expect too much from becomes one of my favourites. I think the WHOLESOME factor of the show really did it for me. It stole my heart, the lovable leads too. It's only 5 episodes but there is so much depth and substance in each episodes. I might be reading it too much but the subtle actions, the symbolisms, the way they handle what other queer people feel especially when it comes to those public affection that is normal in a heterosexual couple like holding hands between queer couples and getting judgement from it. Battling the fear of the past and the lack of acceptance of our own self identity. It just hit all the bullet points.
This drama is chef's kiss and I am so happy I started my year with this show. If It's With You is now, one of my new comfort drama that I will surely be rewatching over and over again.
I think after a while, this is the first time I feel good and passionate about writing a review. I doubt many will be able to see this. But please give this show the love that it deserves.
May we all find the green flags we are destined to be and be a green flags ourselves as well.

A good drama to watch on a slow day
Jan. 10 2024A Good Day To Be A Dog is definitely that kdrama that you usually watch to relax and ease of your mind. The pacing of this show is more laid back so it is definitely can be boring to others who might be looking for the intense feeling and anticipation.
Needless to say, it is one of those drama that is good to have this kind of pacing. Others might find it too boring but it was decent enough for me. And I think this is a good break from all of the intense jaw dropping show that has been airing out alongside with this show.
I just want to add on that, I think Eunwoo is really harshly treated for his acting. I am seeing how terrible he is as a lead. But as someone who read the webtoon. He definitely fits the character not just visually but even the vibes and personality. I just think people have a strong bias against him. And maybe thats why others are very strong opinionated regarding his acting. To say the least, he is pretty good as a idol-actor.
As for that ending, I know many were left bored or even disappointed but I did not. I guess it is really just a matter of personal choice. The conclusion of the show could have been better and yes the last 1/3rd of the show definitely hit the questionable execution of the script and direction. However, I do still would like to advocate of how fun a ride watching this show for me is.
Given the pros and cons. Pick your battles and I hope you pick this show up, if you are looking for something more laid back and easier to digest when watching. Especially given how many kdramas in this air time right now have those crazy twist and turns.

Fell flat but is okay
June 9, 2023I started watching Doctor Cha when it first aired as I was captivated by the pilot episode. I have consistently was keeping up with this show until it started feeling draggy around ep 10.
I genuinely love how the ending occured but I feel like some scenes were just unnecessary. I know many people shipped her with Dr. Roy but regardless, the ending was still pretty decent in my opinion. A bit flat in terms of the plot progression.
I do wish the ex husband deserved a better punishment per se for how he treated Dr. Cha. Like her life was so pitiful during the time of their marriage. I could not even imagine the pain and suffering she had to go through for that.
I genuinely only finished this show for the sake of finishing it as I was so invested. There were definitely good moments and comedic relief that this show gave me. As a result, I would still recommend this show for people who want a funny somehow deep? Is this even considered a deep story.... Uh.... I lost my train of thoughts hopefully I edit this review when I gain my brain cells.
Anyhow, ADIOS 🫡

Fluffy, a bit anti-climatic and frustrating misunderstandings
July 12, 2022Waw actor Jaehyun is finally hereeeeee. Yes, this review will contain major bias as I tried my best not to lower the review even more. Overall, the drama is adequate, I actually love the red hair and the psych major couple. They were the best couple of the three. I really think that they also gave spice and excitement to the overall blandness that the other two couples radiate. Jimin and Haneul's relationship was something that actually drove me insane to the point where I skip their misunderstanding scenes. Like it genuinely pained my brain on how petty it was. Like sure, I guess many relationships tend to fall into that area but to watch just DIDNT give me the interest that it should. As for our main couple, I only looked forward into Jaehyun's scenes, sure Hye soo's has her good things but the ep after 8 was just plain annoying. Like I am talking about her reaction and treatment of Jaehyun. Like the plain disregard and pushing his feelings and brushing them aside. I get it, it was something that she probably did not expect, but she DIDNT have to be that cruel to him.
That's that, I only watched it for Jaehyun and I stayed for our red hair and clean-freak psych major couple. As for the other two couples, they have some good scenes but some are heavily SKIPPABLE. Sorry, BUT RED HAIR AND PSYCH MAJOR COUPLE SUPREMACYYYYYYYYYY

ITS SO CUTE
JUNE 21, 2022Okay, this one is too fking cute. Like I eat it up real good, for some reason, I was just loving the plot. Yes it is very simple and easy to follow. Do not expect some twisted writing here cause you will not see it. The details are adequate and thorough, but not everything will be answered. BUT I DON'T CARE CAUSE I AM EATING THIS UP REAL GOOD. The chemistry between the leads is chef's kiss and off the charts. I wish they showed more but I am pretty satisfied with their adaptation. I want they have 😭
FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS CUTESY FLUFF, THIS SHOW IS FOR YOU HUN!!

LIGHT HEARTED AND NOT EMOTIONAL
June 24, 2021I ACTUALLY LIKE THIS DRAMA. I don’t really understand the hate. Like this was filmed 2-3 years ago and just aired this year. So I can’t see why people aren’t a fan of the plot. But I will base my review from a 2017-2019 POV.
Solid in terms of acting. The story is very fluffy, shows how celebrities life and dealing with fans. Also the darkside of the industry. Along with romance. I can say that I hope this wakes up fans cause a lot of them gets hella possessive over their idols. Like u dont own them at all.
Okay I got sidetracked, here we go:
NO SECOND LEADS NO STUPID PARENT AGAINT RELATIONSHIP TROUPE. No annoying midway break up!!! LOVE IT PRETTY STRONG COUPLE. Yea I kinda hate the doormat personality of the FL but whatever. Ill give it a pass since I love SNSD. Anyway, I HATED THE ML EP 1-9. Honestly I was so close to punching him off the roof like what an asshole.
FUCK THE SECOND COUPLE OR WHATEVER SKIPPED THEIR PARTS. If they were not there Ill prolly give this drama a higher rating. But these two JJ and the girl who cant debut for some odd reason pisses me off. Idk if they ended or whatever cuz i skipped them.
Even FLs best friend and producers love arc is so much more interesting than the “second” couple. Again I dont known if they ended together cuz I couldn’t stand their scenes.
Yea so pretty much w/o second couple : 9/10
W/them: 8/10

Short and sweet
April 16, 2021History2: Crossing the Line is sweet and fluffy. Both couples are good. This one is really a breeze to watch. Definitely recommended for someone who wants a short fluff with no heavy dramas. I also like how this one does not have that crazy gf trope, I really hate those types of shows. Sorry, not sorry.
Though what pissed me off about the plot is that it's too short. I know they tried to wrap everything up at the end so the viewers feel satisfied. But I don't think I was satisfied at all. Please I know it's been a few years and they prolly won't have a sequel for their storyline. But I hope they did more. It's really a pity that it's short but then again that's the reason why I recommend it for someone who wants one day binge type of a show.
Anyway, make sure to watch it!!

CHEMISTRY OVERLOAD
April 13, 2021History 3: Trapped, hands down one of the steamiest and strongest chemistry out there for both main and second lead couple. However, there are major flaws in writing especially in the plot. Like how did Officer Meng went from hating Tang Yi to suddenly loving him. It was such a huge jump in terms of feelings that it bothered me so much. Also, HOW ON EARTH IS OFFICER MENG AND HIS SUBORDINATE THE ONE WHO IS LINKED WITH JACK BOTH POLICE. LIKE NOT GONNA LIE BUT THESE TWO CAN BE HUGE IMBECILES. Another huge plot that irked me is the villain, how can you make such a big deal of finding the real culprit then make it underwhelming the moment they are caught. It's like there was no climax...
Anyway on to the good stuff. Honestly, this would be a 10/10 if they fixed that storyline. I already talked about chemistry so now I'll talk about their dynamics. First of all, Officer Meng and Tang Yi, Officer Meng literally turned Tang Yi into such a soft puppy towards him only. Like, when Officer Meng did not answer him for a day, Tang Yi was about to bawl his eyes out. Also, I find their statement "let's kiss then talk" so hilarious. These two make out so good like daaaaamnnn. Their steamy scenes really got me running around my room like Tang Yi and Officer Meng are so aggressive even when they had angry s- yah that part heheh
Jack and Officer Meng's subordinate REALLY OUT HERE SHOWING WHAT LOVE CAN DO. JACK GAVE UP EVERYTHING FOR THAT MAN. IF THAT AIN'T LOVE THEN IDK WHAT THAT IS. They made me so jealous like I want this kind of relationship in my life. Jack has the biggest growth in terms of character development, I really wanted more of their scenes. I hope these two actors can star in another drama or even their own spin-off cause holy mother- their chemistry is just off the roof.
