I have noticed that there are signs of panic and defeatism among some. I really don't understand from where? Are these people new fans who don't know all of black's tricks yet?
I hasten to reassure you that the situation is not worse than it was. She is much better and black is barking, because XZ is not only extremely red, but almost daily major media campaigns to promote him and his work.
Most of you know that preparations for the celebration of the Chinese New Year are at this point. Black does everything to prevent XZ from appearing on stage during this time, but everyone has seen the two red seas. Everyone saw the popularity of both concerts thanks to XZ's participation. This is data, clear numbers and screen manipulation, and deliberately hostile interpretation will not change the fact - XZ brings gold.
Do we really need to fear people whose sole purpose in life is to earn money by destroying others? Do we really need to pay attention to their barking?
Don't be afraid, XZ is safe and loved in China. His fans should focus on improving their own lives, on improving the community they live in, and doing good for him in their free time (check out the official channels where you'll find tons of old and new XZ clips.)
As if anyone did not know, XZ became the Best Singer of the Year and won the 2020 Most Popular Actor award for his portrayal of Ji Chong.
Ignore the rumors, don't get into discussions, don't panic. Black is just waiting for our false step.

So two male lead, can i expect strong friendship or bromance here? I am kinda want story about friendship and family…
You can be sure there will be no bromance. Two military buddies compete for the same girl, but the plot of the romance is just the background. This drama is a tribute to the bravery of soldiers, filmed on behalf of the government, so it will be a very decent story of nobility and sacrifice for the motherland.

BesTV advertises TOoL. I wonder why? Is it out of fondness for the actor or does it have more practical reasons? I was surprised, because why would BesTV advertise the drama of the competition?

How did he become sooo popular?
If this is a rhetorical question, well, I will answer anyway, because someone might be interested in it.
Phase 1 The Untamed. Sorry, but no one has seen a more beautiful smile for probably two thousand years.
Phase 2 Our Song - sweetness incarnate. Each episode, each stage performance is a new, fascinating incarnation. People see him as a wonderful man and a hard-working artist.
Phase 3 Chinese New Year on CCTV, Beijing TV and Shangai TV. A wonderful smile, sincere heart and a beautiful voice. It was then that the famous "Bamboo on the Rock" was released, which won the hearts of the oldest fans.
Phase 4 March 2020. People are starting to ask why black is so fierce and cruel towards XZ? They start looking at his works, listen to his songs, get to know him as a human being and discover someone who is extremely pure and beautiful in this ugly, rotten world.
Phase 5 The first XZ Red Sea at Tencent. The sea that fans gave him and his reaction when he saw it still arouse admiration in people who did not know him or who he was indifferent to.
All in all - XZ is so popular because it is XZ and there is no other like it in the world :)

No, sorry :/. The negatives of all Chinese dramas is that there is no set date, EVER! Which can get annoying but…
Not exactly. Most c-dramas have an official release date 10-3 days before release. But it's true that there are cases of sudden drama appearing on an increasing frequency.

If I understand ZhanZhan's hint correctly, I'm in cloud nine :)I am not surprised that China has gone crazy. There…
The Chinese love metaphors. "Bread" refers to one of the snacks in the video where Zhanzhan was eating Beijing snacks. I can't describe it well. It is about official information, unofficial information, rumors, black rumors and hints. XZ loves to play with fans by giving them hints, so they look for hints in every video. It's kind of like unofficial official information. You can't say something so you don't get attacked, but you want the fans to know. Of course, not everyone will guess well and there will be rumors, but XZ just gave the fans bread. XZ gave us poor beggars bread!
But as I said, people can misinterpret hints. I can also be wrong, especially since I'm not Chinese and I don't know much, but if I'm not wrong, we will all be in heaven: D

As for XZ, fans are constantly telling him to eat more, so even if he was actually eating bread, the shrimp would be delighted: D

It's a sign of hysteria caused by emotional tension, where your anxiety about XZ connects with your hopes. You have succumbed to the same collective hysteria as almost every Xfx when something new from XZ comes out. The serotonin in your brain is going crazy.
The red sea calmed down in my brain after eight days :(
I don't know how I will survive New Year's Eve :(

I don’t know if you are deliberately misinterpreting the facts or just got wrong info from a bad source...First,…
I'm glad you want to know more about China, so let me let you know that drugs are the biggest crime in China alongside high treason, murder and rape. The reason is that China almost collapsed in the 19th century because of drugs imported by Europeans. Since then, every Chinese government has pursued a zero-tolerance drug policy. This knowledge will come in handy when you watch a new drama with Yibo.

If someone calls 112 with information that a crime is being committed, the nearest intervention patrol is immediately sent to the scene. After arriving at the indicated place, the patrol performs certain specific activities depending on the nature of the report, e.g. asks the woman if she needs help. Verification whether the notification is basic takes place on the spot. Nobody checks the credibility of the report for three hours, because during this time the evidence can be removed and, worse, the victim can be murdered.

This year the police stormed my house. They did not use any means of violence, but they seemed to have entered every room and examined them carefully. They were chasing a criminal wanted by an arrest warrant. They entered my house because I have the same last name as my neighbor, and they entered the wrong house. There was no formal apology, and I didn't require any. I was laughing at the police for half a day.

Why, not knowing China (you admit that you are just starting to get to know it), you say that it is a corrupt, totalitarian country? You know nothing, John Snow.

Reporting a crime is not a denunciation and in a country of law where people trust the police, no one considers it a disgrace.

I am European. My homeland belongs to the EU and I am glad that if I call 112 and report that something is wrong, no one will verify for three hours if I am a fraud or not, only a patrol will appear in a few minutes and possibly save my life.

So instead of slandering the Chinese government and police on the basis of incomplete information, try to bear in mind that if something really bad happened, the appearance of the police could save someone's life.

I don't know why you agree with something I didn't say. Please don't twist my words. There is no abuse of power, no bribes. What are you raving about? If the police receive a report that someone is a drug in a hotel room, they go there, interrogate the suspect, look for drugs and possibly take blood tests. They don't check for three days whether the report is credible or not, as the suspect may get rid of the evidence. Whether it's an ordinary citizen or idol worshiped by the crowd, everyone is equal before the law. And by all the gods of Hades, don't put any conspiracy theory into my statements because people can read and they'll just laugh at you.

Can someone explain why don’t they use the original voices and dubbed?
There are three reasons
1. Dubbing is not as easy as it sounds, so they leave it to the professionals
2. Actors may have pretty faces, but not necessarily pretty voices, and they come from different parts of the country and speak with different accents.
3. Voice actors are cheaper than original actors.

In general, almost all dramas are dubbed, whether by the original actors or by voice actors, for reasons of saving time and money. The original track recorded on the set would be useless in the wuxia drama if there was a plane passing by, a car passing by, etc. Instead of repeating the scene, wasting time and money, it is better to record the sound in the studio.

Sorry, but have you heard of something like getting rid of evidence? the police must act quickly so that the evidence is not lost under unknown circumstances. It does not matter if they are dealing with a celebrity or an ordinary citizen, because according to the law, everyone is equal. You don't know if the cops apologized or not. Do you mean a public apology? If they don't apologize publicly to an ordinary citizen (and they don't do it in any country in the world) why should they do it with an idol?

Sorry, I'm a bit pissed off, but I have policemen in my family and I know how difficult and underappreciated their work is. And I don't know why the standard police procedure used in Western countries is a sign of totalitarianism to you.

I agree with you - the police receive a report of a crime and it is their duty to investigate. I also know that they went there and probably carried out an interrogation and a search. There was no arrest, I guess what the denunciation was about, but I don't know if I can tell. All I can say is that probably in another country not much attention is paid to it, and in China there are serious penalties.

Now my general point. Many international fans don't pay attention to other idols but their own. So I want to let you all know that many idols have gone through something similar. I mean the police, but that's not all. Every few days I hear that some heizy has been forced by the court to publicly apologize and pay compensation, usually in the amount of 100,000, which equates to 2.5 of the average salary in Beijing. The penalties are ridiculously low, and heizy and vultures are involved in the persecution of idols (some persecute even a dozen or so) because one good photo or a well-assembled black rumor can bring them millions.

Of the eight people standing on stage at the Star Awardes Gala, all eight have been and still are victims of freak attacks and professional blacks.

Except CQL is not wuxia, but xianxia
I will be very grateful for showing me these elements. From my recognition of these genres based on classical classification, I don't see any element of wuxia. Perhaps something is escaping my eyesight. There are several elements common to wuxia and xianxia, such as the very idea of cultivation or the school in which this cultivation is done, but the cultivation method allows us to differentiate between the two film genres. In CQL, we clearly have magical cultivation, not kung fu. Even with a lot of goodwill on my part, I don't see wuxia here. If we really wanted to qualify CQL correctly, it would be eastern fantasy.
Most viewers are not interested in whether it is wuxia, xianxia or anything else, but if someone awards a fairly official award, they could at least define the categories as "wuxia and related genres". I have nothing against hybrids, but it is precisely because someone awarding the award doesn't care about the classification that it causes a terrible confusion and viewers completely lose their orientation in genres. So either they don't do classification at all or let them do it well. That's my opinion.

A little update
If any of you haven't seen the fancam videos of how XZ reacts to the Red Sea, you must see it. You have to see it because this moment has become a turning point. Xfx does not function as a fan club, they were disbanded a few months ago, yet they remain faithful to XZ. Since the Red Sea, the media has officially run a campaign to showcase the amazing, loving bond between XZ and Xfx. A favorable XZ and Xfx article or interview comes out every day. Xfx talks about their longing and suffering and how they will endure so much more to keep XZ smiling. Public figures talk about how remarkable this is a bond that has survived almost a year of trial and instead of crumbling, has grown even stronger.

I also recommend a very touching interview. There is an excellent translation in the comments.

Do not worry. It is not so bad. He was never banned :-)And about pro bono - he is just kind and sweet good mam…
2020 gave XZ a lot of unpleasant experiences, so he needs some time to feel comfortable and safe, but I think "Ace" and military drill gave him a lot. XZ immerses himself in the character who plays, so he clearly shows military influence, but in the next role he will have the look and attitude appropriate for that character. That radiant boy is still there, as evidenced by his smile when he saw the red sea, he just didn't get the chance to show it.
XZ will always have enemies. Everyone in this business has them. The red sea, however, had a very positive effect on the image of XZ and Xfx. Many people were moved to tears then - stars but also fans of other actors. Even heizy was speechless for a moment. Attacks have been, are and will be, but Xfx is an example of a perfect fan. Interestingly, not everyone may know this, XZ does not have a fan club. All Xfx are unaffiliated to the fan club. The fan club was disbanded a few months ago.

Title The Wolf Spoiler
I was spoiled about the ending and was okay with it since I knew what would happen. Just curious of how everyone…
IMO Bo Wang lived happily ever after without her :)
We meet Ji Chong six months after MZX's death. The narrator (fourth prince) talks later about even later times and about the fate of the heroes. What's the point of showing Bo Wang at this point if he's already dead? This idyllic scene was like a reminder of their idyllic childhood, when the boy met the girl and showed her the world of wolves. The moment when he stands alone, the last scene in fact, shows that her sacrifice was not in vain, that MZX saved the world and him. When Bo Wang tried to save MzX, his blood was red, not black, which means he was well.
This is probably why the producer thought for a moment about completing the second season, which in my opinion has a starting point because the title character survived.

Do you think there's a cut version out there? I heard that many details about the side characters, mainly Yao…
Sorry, I don't think we'll ever see the original version. This is China. If a version didn't get green light, it can't be shown. There is also no need to hope that we will see it on the foreign market, because that could cause too much outrage from viewers in China.
But I can be wrong.
