The case at Douban was very loud as this group showed an extreme disrespect for the classics. People understand love for an idol, but not at the expense of eight hundred years old masterpieces of literature! I only read part of it until May. I know what you mean. About 90% of what this person writes about, I saw "live". The Wolf is my first c-drama since the end of February. All the others that I tried to watch I dropped out in 2-3 minutes :(

3. The commercial value of XZ is so high that it makes me dizzy when looking at the indicators.
4. CCTV wrote favorably about XZ twice during the week, once praising his clear gaze, once regretting that with the first snow in Beijing, we didn't see a video from XZ who likes to play snowballs.
5. Xfx, as usual, are accused of something, but most of these accusations are ignored by society or even the public defends XZ and Xfx. People are fed up! A few days ago there was a great war on the internet, but those who attacked XZ were massacred.
6. You know The Wolf is maliciously receiving low reviews. Today
some scams on Douban were discovered and Douban announced that he would deal with the scammers. I won't be pointing, but these people are opponents of XZ. Their scam was reportedly not about The Wolf, but I wouldn't be surprised to find that these low ratings begin to fade away.
7. Now for something unpleasant - people claiming to be XZ fans made it difficult to work on the set of Ace, endangering the actor, the crew and themselves. My appeal - if you love someone, let him live.
8. Dear CP fans, if you are reading this, please come to your senses and stop spreading the "know who" romance all over the internet. There was no oath !. And if the one who loves XZ so much really loves him, why ... Ah! I have no words. You can believe what you want, but I beg you, don't spread it on official channels. You really are not helping anyone by spreading the information about the alleged great love and you are hurting the image of both.
9. To wrap up on a positive note - ZYR, ML of Joy of Life has officially announced that he and his wife (who starred in Jade Dynasty) support The Wolf, Li Qin and XZ. They even signed up on one of the platforms to watch all of The Wolf and The Wolf, and they really like the acting of their colleagues.

There is no such date and it probably won't be. Don't worry, a lot of the dramas premiered without a prior date announcement. A few days ago "The Wolf" was launched and it immediately became a hit, so the procedure will probably be repeated. You can expect a premiere sooner than announcing a date :) Credible rumor says they want to release the drama in December, but it's Chinese show business, so we really don't know anything.

"Ace Troops" is an interesting story. Despite leaks of loads of unofficial photos, the production did not make any of the cast public. It is a bit like: we all see, we are all silent. Recently, after the premiere of The Wolf, the vultures have started hunting XZ very hard, also on the set of this drama, posing a threat to the actor, the crew and themselves. There was no ban. It's a rumor. XZ has appeared many times in major public media, including CCTV, and is still supported by it. In the last week, CCTV wrote about him flattering twice. During this hot period, XZ starred in a CCTV drama which was the greatest proof that he was never banned.

Agree, he looks hot. My favorite scene so far is his first appearance eight years later. Rather typical scene, but really well shot, perfectly telling who we will be dealing with. Even now I have it in front of my eyes. Great hero introduction.

I'm afraid I won't be able to write a review for The Wolf. I'm afraid I will have a problem with getting points. When in the same drama I see nightmarish kitsch and flashes of genius, should I wrongly award the trash with a high score of five points, or hurt the flash of genius and give him only five points?
Should I punish the drama for one wooden actor, or reward it for another, whose acting is bordering on a masterpiece?
I've never seen such an uneven drama before. It reminds me a lot of "Princess Agents" which I hated from the heart, but watched for a phenomenal couple played by Li Qin and Shown Doe.
But January is far away and I can change my mind :)

I only saw four episodes, but the horses were the only thing I liked.
General remark, because I didn't see the whole thing, but I love historical novels and read a lot about the war times (I'm also a historian). Beautiful and well-kept and trained horses are only at the beginning of the war. Then everyone rides whatever looks like a horse and can move.

I can't decide if I like The Wolf or I hate it. Some scenes are pathetic and terribly boring and one thing irritates me so much that I feel nauseous. But there were also some scenes that took my breath away and I was like OMG! It's like this drama has several directors, each responsible for their own plot, but lacking one director who would neatly put it together. Some scenes are brilliant, others are terribly embarrassing. This will probably be one of those drama that you love and hate at the same time.

A few days ago, a famous Hong Kong actress told on the radio that when she watched this short film, she cried with emotion. She also talked about the role of Wei Wuxien in The Untamed. She said she was delighted with XZ's acting because it was easy to overdo the role and he played everything perfectly. She recommends this drame to everyone.
