The ending felt really lackluster and I find episode 10 to be my least favorite. I was expecting the rushed ending based on where episode 9 left off but something about the sister's case did not leave an impact on me as a viewer. The other cases that were handled prior were more fleshed out compared to this one that followed the entire show and personally affected the main characters. Perhaps, I am the only one that feels this way.
Once again, I will mentioned that Takezai Terunosuke is such an amazing actor. Every time he showed up, he was the main character and he was the moment. I need to see this man in another bl as the main lead (preferably with a partner that's around his age if not older).
I guess I am weird but I find it more romantic that he gave her war horses instead of those common girly things.…
I think the reason for her reaction is the justification he gave for the gift. In essence the gift was for the Qiaos and for their alliance, not for her as his wife.
romance wise it is a great drama, chemistry between leads 🔥but political wise...I can only say they're funny,…
Yeah, like most of us camping in this comment section, we love it mostly because of the romance and the lightness of the story. Maybe it differs a lot from what we thought it would be, but somehow it works, charming, fun and enough sprinkle of warlord and murdering business across the episodes 😂
i guess if u r a fan of the main couple (the actors) then u loved this, as someone who loved the J-adaption, this was a let down. if the writers were gonna change the most important part of this drama, why keep the name?!? as that just a mislead & a let down. Cherry Magic is Adachi's story - everyone else (yes everyone!) is a side character, they there to make him grow, help him showcase his flaws & perfection... see him turn into a worthy ML & get his happily ever after. what was this?!? was Achi a standout?? his powers turned him mute for the majority of this BL, Karan did all the heavy lifting in that relationship. ironically the saving grace of this BL was Jinta - which is ironic as i didn't really like his J-counterpart Tsuge he was a good bff. but his love story was boring IMO - here Jinta was fun & funny, i was totally invested in all his scenes regardless of who he was playing against & what the scene was about. he didn't rely on his powers, he used his words & communicated - he the MVP of this BL & the reason i watched until the end.
it really is a pity that "they" had not only the manga, but the drama & the anime - yet this is what we got. 🤦♀️
Don’t remember the ep, but the scene where Wei Shao asks and listens to Gong Sun Yang explain the meaning of the words companion love (?) by looking at the radicals/components that each word is made of was very well done. Beautiful.
I dont know why Thailand insist on remake good japanese series that there is no need to adaptation again cause they are best in their own making at that time.. instead of working on unique scenarios. i dont talk about couples. and I promise you if Tay and new didnt play in this series it wouldnt rate more than 7.5 or maybe less really.. cherry magic, ossans love, addicted heroin and my love mix up are some poor adaptation of these years of thailand from other countries. i really want to see these skillfull actors on some unique thai projects.
This episode made no sense to me tbh. They made the daughter be against Heng for no reason. Like, she's okay with her dad being in love with someone but for unknown reasons it can't be Heng? That honestly bothered me. Also, why did Heng's friends + Mo help him try to get along with the daughter knowing that Heng doesn't plan on dating the boss? So weird, especially since Mo participated in this plan. It makes no sense 🤦
At least they finally made Heng reject the boss. I was worried they would drag it too much. But now we have more than half the season left so at some point the story will feel way too draggy and there are probably going to be so many unnecessary conflicts that weren't in the original story.
One thing I do appreciate from this adaptation though is that here it is more obvious that Heng is starting to realize he might like Mo. In the original, even until the end of the first season, I kept wondering whether Haruta actually liked Maki. It only becomes obvious Haruta is head over heels for Maki in the movie and season 2 (especially season 2).

this series is really flopping, little repercussion on X, few countries engaging #, but I also didn't think it…
Here comes another wannabe EarthMix hater thinking 1M trends are the only measure of success. FYI, Ossan’s Love Thailand is well-received by locals and the JP BL fandom, and it's getting praise everywhere for its storytelling and performances. Not every drama needs to rely on hype to prove its worth quality speaks for itself
Let's normalize not to rate the drama with high score when you don't like story but love the actors. What is point of it? It'll only make them act in similar dramas and ruin thair reputation. Let's rather rate it low so they know what we really like and what we don't.
I want people to be aware it's ok to give low score if you don't like the drama. Otherwise, everything would be rated 10/10 and what would be the point of rating then?
Have you ever wrote something not quite positive about and then got reply like: "Don't watch it if you don't like it. Why do you rate something you don't like? This is why some good series have a lower rating than they should have."
Yes, I got this reply more than once, but I don't plan to stop. You can call me mean, but for real, what is the point of rating then? Be honest with yourself, especially people who at least once wrote that type of comment.
This massege is gonna be written in comment section in more dramas, the ones I don't like, but also the ones I like and love, because I want to spread this. If you agree with me, feel free to share this. If you don't, feel free to confront me. Give me the valid reasons why it is bad.
(This whole thing started as a reply to a comment where someone told they find drama boring but it'll be rated high bcs of the actors. That person got confronted by someone else saying: "Oh so you judged it like this based on the first ep? I guess you already made your opinion" And I took the side of the first person and many people agreed with what I said (first paragraph), so that't the reason why I want to make this known.)
