tbh the front part was a little slow (but reasonably good to continue watching) & it starts to get better when the main lead (Chang Su) starts assisting his friend Prince Jing, If I remember correctly around episode 16-18 or slightly later, it gets better

Was wondering why 9+ rating and decided to give it a go.
Wouldn't say it is a masterpiece like many claimed, but the cinematography (the fighting, scale of the setting) was good. I continued watching to see how Mei Chang Su strategise and plan his way through to bring down the other princes and villians to achieve his ultimate goal. He is very intelligent, driven and good with his words.. 1st episode could be a little confusing because they introduced quite a lot of characters but as I get along, am able to digest better. Overall, it is a no bull shit and one of the best historical drama..

I feel neutral about the main actor but the show was good for me. If you have watched it and feels its a 6-7, why rate 1 just to "balance"? lol. I have seen shows with about 700 voters and the rating is 7 plus.. If a show is good, it's good

Hmm.. I think this drama was a so-so. It's fluffy, but you shouldn't expect it to be realistic. I think some parts were a little slow which made me fast forward.. Overall, could have done it in 13-14 episodes instead of 17

There's a reason for the 8.4 rating. Nice drama..

This is not the kind of drama you go WOW BEST DRAMA OF THE YEAR but it's that satisfied and lingering feeling of how the couple is The one for each other.

I loved In A Good Way too! Thanks for that reminder. ^^ It is 2 separate stories, but indeed feels like the much needed continuation we need for that open ending (minus any misunderstanding).. Feels like re-watching IAGW now..

Even Yi Chen has no idea why/what he sees in her, and he mentioned in a conversation when Mo Sheng asked him during college days, "Why me?", which he replied "I'm not too sure." She is just The one for him. Yes, Mo Sheng character is plain, not smart but has a good nature and kind. About the chemistry, it is indeed lacking.. but otherwise, very calm and beautiful love story.

I think dubbed for the male lead. He's from Hong Kong, has accent for his Chinese.

I would say give it a go! It is not the best that I have watched, but it was overall moderately addictive and great for me. I liked how the main leads think of each other as the The One and Only for each other; and that 7 years with misunderstanding didn't change that fact. Unrealistic and dreamy plot (but aren't most shows like this?) For that reason alone, you should watch it! Wallace Chung is quite fitting for his role too :)

Yes, I didn't understand why she constantly lower her head when talking to the male lead at the beginning, but it gets better after a few episodes; the bubbly/happy character returns back...

Wallace Chung pretty much carried the whole drama. He portrayed Yi Chen to be what he is supposed to be- a brooding, serious, and collected character. What captured me right from the start was how this calmness seem to break when Mo Sheng is around him.

Female lead's acting was a little uncomfortable to watch when she just came back from America, but overall still ok (I have to make do). Music was good! One bad point would be too much flashbacks (that was already played before in earlier episodes) being played towards the end of the drama. Got over it with some fast-forwarding.

It is really dreamy/romantic story that every girl envision because they were in love since college days and even after 7 years with misunderstanding, they are still The one for each other. Overall, minus some flashbacks, it was a satisfying drama.

Yes, this whole story builds on that misunderstanding but it was worsened with the accident happening in female lead's family and she had to depart to America with that misunderstanding. Music was good!

Nice plot, but too much episodes :/ Yes, it is a family daily drama but I sat through 52 episodes with much fast forwarding because the plot, main characters and background story kept me watching. Chemistry is good, but can improve!

Yes.. addictive but the episodes are kinda too much :( but you still want to continue watching to know the ending.
