i think he was walking fine when he visited the chairman to give the photos. so he's cured but can't do soccer as it's an intense sport. the doctor did say he can do normal things again, just not sports

he wants to be a good father symbol to his nephew, and even though he know he should admit his mistakes done in the past, "looking righteous" is already ingrained in him that he can't admit his mistakes in the end

he wants kang tae joo to be his friend as he knows he can rely on him no matter what. but he also knows that kang tae joo wont sit still when he takes advantage of the weak, which he does to keep his name clean and good-smelling to his father, hence they cant be friends.
