Last time I watched Zhuo Ye in Scent of Time, and I found her acting just mediocre to me, but in this drama her acting improved A LOT. Her potrayal as Gu Sheng just perfect. Never expected TJC voice is so sexy LoL

Yes, this is underrated drama. I think this production from Yu Zheng, His styling for the casts always made them ugly, Yanxi Palace made them like corpses, in The Legacy, they made Qin Lan weird with the bangs.

I think the character of hua qian more make senses with her behaviour of someone that have given second chances, she looks like "lazy" that i assume she not care for the worldly wealth or honor anymore, she just want peace, vice versa with ning er that have much more tricks that want to change all of things. I'm not said Bai Lu is bad, actually I found zhuo ye just mediocre on acting, but zhuo ye has her own persona, just I feel hua qian character better than ning er
Is it a good drama? I have wanted to watch this since I watched the story of kunning. He's really a good actor.
Dont make comparison with the kunning when you watch this, because i can see this is a low budget drama, not big as kunning, but i can marathon this one in 3 days without skipping. The acting of the casts is so so to me, and i feel if they choose different actress with solid acting, this drama would be better. but somehow this drama really engaging and fast pace and not boring, although there are some scenes that make your eyes roll lol. No kissing, no skinship but i can feel the love in the air, hehehe
I keep my low expectation before starting this drama,and this is one of those underrated dramas. I'm satisfied with the twist of the ending, the story well written and fast pace. For the acting, it's not bad, but really need improvements from all the casts. First time watching zhou ye, her acting is mediocre in my opinion but i see her potential if she diligent enough to take acting class, she has the onscreen persona that not many individual has. I can see improvement from wang xing yue after watch him in forever and ever or one and only(?), yeah my memory can't catch up which one is the period one, lol.
I'm on ep 6, so far so good, Alice ke used her own voice in the chinese drama, is a good point for me to watch this drama, caused i already used to heard her voice. It will be hard to enjoy the drama if they decided to dub her
