it was probably poorly executed. but the plot of First love coming back, scheming her way into snatching FL Love, will never fail to get anyone at the edge of their seat. considering the First love here is super pretty & taller, oh my goodness its just a heart attack! lol.
saw in some comment, they said Li Hongyi was still underage maybe 16-17 yo when this was made. it might get censored. smack is fine but Kissing not yet.

Interesting drama! this has ancient Face Off. all CPs are cute. the Bai daughter is pretty, surprise she’s the youngest actress. 2nd brother is so cool. the rival Kingdom has better costumes. lol. But baby-boy Li Hongyi as Princess bodyguard, hero double, warrior, archer, Spy General, though just guest appearance, is just too cute & interesting to watch. they even gave Su Zui & the Princess a cute wedding. their story arc can be another drama. Still this is Nice drama!

If you’re familiar with Historical, action-adventure, fantasy drama genre, this is one of those. Romance is not the usual focal point, sometimes its even tragedy. While this is more on camaraderie/fellowship/brotherhood; rooting on storyline narrative, Heroes adventure, wuxia fantasy, mood setting & backdrops, and characterization. Where Heroes motivation have great aspiration & purpose, and romance is often sidelined.

They should consider Li Hongyi singing the wonderful Ost of this drama, “Waiting”. He could go higher. lol
