Do we know if the author of the novel is upset about this drastic change? Iβm asking as someone who doesnβt…
Depends on how you interpret their congratulatory message to the movie production team. They explicitly said "The movie ORV has been released to the world. Please read it together". Sounds like sarcasm to me, 'cuz it's not your usual "please support our work" https://x.com/poisonaddict999/status/1947790843768873064
Calling new accs trolls when some of them genuinely have watched the movie and wanna give actual review so they created a new acc? "Why speak so much about something you haven't watched" then when people really watched y'all go "who forced you to watch". Lmao y'all keep contradicting yourself. If you wanna watch it to support your fav then just do it, but you have no rights to prevent others from having opinions. Ntm barely anyone's hating the cast here, but the director and this whole horrible "adaptation"
Some of them in comments Ask why this movie getting Hate Right? this movie is Straight Disrespect to whole Story…
And ntm the erasure of 2 baddie women's personality and background. Where's JHW's trauma from SA? Also YSA is a successful woman thriving at her current job, yet they downplayed her into a near-quitting staff looking for a parttime job???? The changes reek of misogyny

Also they twisted KDJ's past completely too???? From a s*icidal traumatized boy, abandoned by his relative, followed by paparazzi and bullied by his schoolmates, they made him into a literal M*RDURER and then went on to justify himself that him bullying that other friend just because he's forced to and have to do it for survival is fine since YJH taught him it's fine to do so when you have no other choices????? What kind of inhumane immoral problematic bs is this???????
I guess the reviews currently aren't very accurate or representative of what it really is, but it still seems…
You got it right. Some ORV fans who are early watchers tried to keep in mind to be fair and subjective when criticizing the movie and they said even as a standalone the movie is boring, ntm cheap CGI and problematic plot change, where the protag justified his (forced) action of bullying another person to π with a fictional character
Completely butchered. Changed important plotlines of ORV and took away its essence. The link below lists major changes. Even if you haven't read the original novel and don't have a gist of how such changes affect the messages the novel is supposed to convey, it's still worth a read to understand why novel fans are so mad. In no way is ORV a generic apocalypse story; it's so much more than that. It's a work that honors the beauty and power of literature, and emphasizes the relationship between readers and author. The movie just washes away all of that and also downplays all characters' personality and their relationship between one and another. Director and production team want to make profit off of ORV's popularity yet pays no respect to source material.
Bro, you know nothing about ORV yet you yap sm. Mind you, this movie has come out and reviews from early watchers in the fandom all said the casting is the least of the concern. Even as a standalone movie it's still boring
I'm shallow and would have guessed it was Yone. Not proud of myself but it is what it is.
In a sense you could say she's LGBTQ+. She said something along the line that she gave up being a woman, and apparently she doesn't think of herself as a man, which could be seen as non-binary
Week 17: a formerly invisible character appearsWeek 17: Iβve already began rewatching from the very beginning. With…
I agree. I'm not yet familiar with asadoras but I watched Ochoyan before I started this and I was surprised with how fast things went in Tora ni Tsubasa. But nothing is rushed, the story of every week is well executed and as you said, no episodes are filler episodes
No.. it's not. Its not BL. Not everything with a good male friendship will be BL.
I heard from many people that there is romance between the two ML in the original manga though (but even so the genre doesn't have to be BL which is heavily romance-based), however the production team changed up a bit for this drama.
I don't think they were engaged nor in love at least from her side there was nothing. I mean who takes a picture…
Probably the photo was taken at an early point of their relationship and Sanpei just doesn't have another photo haha. And I'm certain it's not one-sided, or else they wouldn't have bought a couple item
Let's hope Nevertheless JP remake will air this year πππ He's rumored to be filming this drama
OMG I literally had the same reaction as you when I first heard the news πππ I'm sooooo looking forward to red flag Ryusei sadly nothing has been confirmed yet
Totally agreed. I can sense the live action won't be a great adaption at all with the cast like this
I respect that even as a fan you're able to admit that the idol you like still lacks in acting. She's good in eyes of some but not in others, and lots of fans can't accept that there is someone disliking her acting and such fans go all out harassing anyone criticizing her acting trying to prove that she's a good actor, and claiming those who say otherwise as haters
