Yes. The movie is Garo: Kami no Kiba and the spin-off that comes after is Kami no Kiba: JINGA.

Prior to this film, Kouga was last seen in Makai Retsuden (the anthology season) in 2016. So it had only been three years.

Torturing people is Inoue's favorite pastime.

It's way before that. That man writes stuff that just naturally has subtext baked in.

And then came Cutie Honey the Live in 2007 which has multiple canon LGBT characters. The gay characters in the two Kamen Rider Zi-O specials were just icing on the cake.

Taniguchi Masashi is now a tokusatsu (ultra/rider/sentai) triple threat!

Me: secretly hoping the commander also gets to transform into either Decker, a precursor to Decker, or some variant of the original Ultraman for the *ultimate* triple threat considering neither Taniguchi or Kusugi were Red in sentai and, of the two, only Taniguchi played a lead Rider.

Yeah, as an Inoue show those are like the *most* relevant tags.

All of Inoue's stuff is actually yaoi, even if he doesn't want it to be. Except Cutie Honey. That's just straight up canonical yuri.

From the first episode, I'm not invested in any of these characters and don't care if any of them win the "Desire Grand Prix" (except that obasan at the end there. she gonna win the whole thing).

That musical performance though.
