Well….I made it through to the end…. Honestly this was a difficult watch (as most people have shared). The basic storyline had potential to be a cute romcom enemies to lovers type genre, but it missed the mark in so many areas. The acting was challenging to get through and honestly I’m not certain if that was the direction the director was pushing or if the director was just not pushing the actors at all. Also, how child like they were portraying the ML throughout and how others treated him like a child was just off putting for me. I did like the 2 secondary couples and their storylines helped keep me watching to the end.
So from the poster and synopsis I was expecting this to be more of a drama with suspense and action (which it is not so far). Instead this is very light and cute…maybe a welcome relief after some of the more intense ones I’ve been watching (and rewatching) lately.
So beautifully done! Yin and War are amazing actors, otherwise they wouldn’t have been able to pull all the rollercoaster of emotions out of me. Definitely a worthwhile episode.
I liked it overall, it is a sweet/easy story with some drama thrown in, but it was a bit choppy and some stories just did not make sense (the doctors for instance). Seemed like more episodes were needed for better character development and for all the stories to be better melded…along with some characters stories put on the chomping block and being another story altogether
This had potential, but just like everyone has been commenting about, the English subtitles were super terrible. You would think they’d have read everyone’s reviews and fixed it by now. It was just very distracting having to constantly try to figure out what was likely trying to be conveyed. 🙁
