OKAY LISTEN. I’ve been SO picky about BLs since I watched Eternal Yesterday two years ago 😭😭 and I’m…
and GOSH 😭😭 don’t get me wrong, I wasn’t expecting much from the one actor. Like, some who go through the idol-to-jbl pipeline used to slay, but most… DON’T, like remember those idol actors from tunku shower. BUT THIS GUY’S ACTING IS SAUR GOOD (though if im going to be nitpicky, there are very little areas he could improve more like the crying scene abt what happened to his father)
And the other guy? OBVIOUSLY from toku. The toku-to-BL pipeline NEVER misses, even if the roles or series they get sometimes end up mid. And of course. HE DELIVERED
OKAY LISTEN. I’ve been SO picky about BLs since I watched Eternal Yesterday two years ago 😭😭 and I’m telling you, I’ve NEVER seen a Japanese BL THIS GOOD since the old times or Eternal Yesterday. Like, it’s SAUR CRAZY GOOD. I’m shaking. I’m crying. I’m kicking my feet
This one hasn’t even ended yet, but I swear, it’s already a masterpiece. Every moment counts they didn’t waste a single frame. The acting? Phenomenal. The story? Masterful. The cinematography? Stunning. The musical score? Heavenly. EVERYTHING about this show is PERFECT. It’s not just a BL, IT’S AN ART
What’s crazy is, usually, my top-ranked bls have something I can relate to, a moment, a feeling, a character. But this? I can’t even relate to the characters. It’s not my favorite trope, it’s not even the kind of story I usually vibe with, and yet here I am, INVESTED. THAT’S how powerful the acting and the story are. I’m in a chokehold.
This is the kind of story that reminds you why the ACTING is SO important. They didn’t just make a show, they are making a STATEMENT 🥹👏
Today marks the 2nd anniversary of this masterpiece. This drama will always hold a special place in my heart and still remains as my ichiban bl of all time. Koichi and Micchan, you'll forever be missed 🥺💙
please don't be intimidated by the nasty Little Girls who try to control comment sections.
As a fan of the manga, I will stand on what ive said that hug was flat and bland. It didn’t capture the emotional depth from the manga. Since this adaptation began, I haven’t felt much chemistry between the actors. Sure, the quality and cinematography are decent, but that doesn’t make it a masterpiece like everyone claims.
I really don't want to say anything negative about this adaptation anymore especially since the fans here seem quite rabid but, I can't help but feel disappointed. I wish I could rate it higher, but it has ruined one of my favorite BL mangas. I know that the manga has lapses (or unnecessary parts rather) which are also present in the series but that's not my main concern. While I understand that the focus is not romance. As someone who read the manga, it feels disappointing like i was mentioned few weeks here before, the actors are good actors but they just don't have the chemistry needed. I miss the sparks, the tension, the giggles, the little moments of gay panic and intimacy that were present in the manga. The only time I felt any chemistry in this adaptation was in episode 11 when they looked at each other in the class reminiscing the moments on Taichi's last day as Kohei's note taker. I was also let down by the hug at the end, that hug felt so flat and bland compared to the emotional weight it carried in the manga.
some might not agree with me but I feel like the movie has way more chemistry. yeah, the remake might have better acting and it is more detailed but it just doesn't have that same sparks for me. im still watching it coz im a fan of the movie (and the manga) (and the Kohei actor now is visually stunning)

It's a kind of relationship that I am idealizing for so long :)) (of course except the tragic part)
"I guess we all want in our own way to be someone's number one in a relationship"
Awwww :(( The author might have no idea how much Koichi and Micchan's relationship heals our inner selves even though their love story was just made to happen quickly. Thank you, and I also hope you find the right person for you
I find this season a lot lot better but my two concerns: the first one is Takuya's acting is still the same from S1. I'm not sure if this is really his characterization or his way of acting but I think he or the character needs to lose a bit in delivering lines and reactions because it's unnatural and immature most of the time. I don't have prob with this kind of acting and characterization but Minato is already 30 and he is not a highschool anymore. The second one, I know I might be the minority but I find Shin a little bit possessive sometimes, but yeah, it's kind of understandable though because of his age.
But ngl, maybe this is my most fave jbl so far since this year has started (together with Jack Frost)
