Blossom is really good if you want romance with detective elements and bit of palace drama. You Are My Glory if you want some sweet slice of life with minimum angst between leads (the drama actually is not about game though)
Together against the world! Not necessary against the world but overall having each other backs without much angst between two leads and without jumping into wrong conclusions every minute... There's so many dramas with love-hate, enemies to lovers, rivals, misunderstandings etc that it's so nice to see something more wholesome in relationship. (I'm watching The rise of Ning right now and just so happy that it have this trope) Also, no OOC. It's always nice to see logical characters that don't do stupid stuff just because screenwriter want it, + really good logical plot, especially if it's some thriller, fantasy or detective
Oh... For me it's Tan Song Yun, Xing Fei and a bit Yang Zi. I tried to watch dramas with Tan Song Yun many times, but it's just so off for me. Mainly because of acting.. I think the way she portray the characters is really not my cup of tea, no hate!! So at some point I just started to skip everything with her. Maybe one day I'll try Road Home but for now it's like that. Xing Fei have pretty the same explanation, + in dramas that i tried to watch it was looking like the same 1 character in every drama no matter the plot. Again, maybe i'll try to watch something with her in the future but skip for now. Yang Zi is ok for me in acting but she chooses drama plots that i usually have no interest in, so it's just preferences. And I really wish more good plots for Tan Jian Ci and Hu Yi Tian because I do like them but I feel like there's only 2-3 dramas that I can watch from them😅😅
To Fly with You! Good sport drama that is a bit underrated imo. I love how it shows the training process, championships, the people behind the scene etc.. It was kind of nostalgic to me, this whole atmosphere, even though few moments about competitions were really off but overall it's pretty good
Ohhh there's so many of tropes that I dislike.. 1) It's not in this list but Comedy for comedy and Drama for drama. What I mean is, making characters stupid for comedy purposes or making fun of some situations that is not fun irl.. it looks cheap, cringey, toilet humour as we call it in my country. Same with drama. I love dramatic stuff but when there's no reason for angst why make it angsty with break up for superficial reasons, illnesses etc. 2) Misunderstandings and never talking about something important, like sometimes I just want to scream at my screen "just say it already!!" it's so frustrating. 3) Enemies to lovers!! Unpopular opinion but I feel like this is one of the worst tropes. It can be good!! But usually it's one-sided dislike or dislike based on some dumb situation from baby-days of characters that it have no sense really. Or it is real enemies and it's all so toxic and unhealthy.
I don't care about Mary Sue/Gary Stu tho, never understand why so many people hate it, I don't even think there's that much characters that is true Mary Sue/Gary Stu.
i don't know if you still need an answer (maybe someone else will find it useful), but yeah, there is romance between them but very light, only in the end you actually can see something more than just stares😅
That’s good for you! 😂😂😂. Knowing your high standards, what are the few dramas that have passed the…
I think, it's just different taste, not at all high standards😅 Dream Detective, 365: Repeat the Year, Tell No One, When the Weather Is Fine, Story of Kunning Palace, You Are My Glory.. There's a lot actually 😄
"Perfectionists - You can't handle anything" lol😂 I really don't understand how people can watch something that they dislike or didn't feel connection with.. There's so many dramas, I know my taste, so why waste time? 😎
A bit bittersweet special ep, but it is also gives hope. I think, maybe now it's not entirely perfect and Minase Jin is scared to tell everyone, even friends, but in the future he will find the courage and confidence to open up to people who are close to him. Even after all the hardships and time, their love is as strong as ever. Right now, maybe it is a good thing to keep it all as a secret, to let them bask in each other care and love, without people judging them. In my country, we say that Happiness loves silence. Meaning that sometimes you shoudn't brag or talk much about something good so people would not interfere, judge or envy. Minase Jin and Hirukawa Haruki need a silence for some time, to build up something precious and talk, feel, love for all the time that they were separeted.
As for Story of Kunning Palace ,I somehow dropped when it was airing, but I still want to give it one more try…
Hard to choose honestly, but right now probably Moonlight Mystique as it's have seriousness and drama, yet also some cuteness without cringe and gave warm feeling. Pretty good storyline also (there's short special ep as the end).
I do love Kunning Palace but it is really for the right mood. It have some similarities in style with Blossom, but darker and more politics. Meet Yourself - melancholy in the first eps, kind of slow. I cried the whole first 2 eps so yeah, right mood is required😅
Wow a lot of good dramas.. I didn't watch everything, but the ones that i did they all good just very different in moods and vibes. Story of Kunning Palace - if you ok with some red flags, it's more like.. a bit rough historical drama, I would say, love triangle, intrigues. Fangs of Fortune - not much romance, beautiful visual, action and feelings, humour here and there, but i can't say that it's a light drama overall. Meet Yourself - emotional and healing, countryside life. Moonlight Mystique - xianxia but about human in it, with cases/arcs, emotional, colourful.

Also Zhang jingyi and Song Wei long looks good too
