Agree 100%! For a second I even waited for him to show Ma RI he had taken the bullet out of the gun; mirroring…
Me too! I really like Hae Ra too, really feel for her character. Totally agree that they both are the most complex and consistent thus far. Based from the previews for the last few episodes, I'm not looking forward to it. I feel like there's going to be some...... facepalming worthy decisions/actions by either Ma Ri or SWJ. Hopefully I'm wrong lol

That would have been so poetic and 100% better and in character had they chosen to go that route! But they didn't... :( Extremely disappointed at how that went down - even if he was trying to prove his point. He totally could have still said what he said WITHOUT putting the gun to his head. The planning/writing/acting of In Wook's character is almost more logical than SWJ's.....
OMG...I don't think I've ever felt so disappointed with a character's choice until the end of episode 34. I literally have to take a break before I can continue watching episode 35. How could SJW do that to Ma Ri...!?!? One should NEVER "prove" their love to someone with their own life. It's already established that In Wook is crazy and has pulled this before (kudos to Ryu Soo Young again, I really can't praise his acting enough!!) but SJW!? Come on! He's suppose to be the opposite of In Wook. I cannot even. Lol I have not felt this disappointed or wtf about a character's action until that moment that I had to stop watching to write this as I had to let out my disbelief at the character "growth". Just oh my god. *facepalming hard*
It had so much potential but it just fell so short in my opinion... I honestly didn't feel anything for the main leads nor do I even like their characters. I was more invested and interested in Secretary Woo's relationship with his sick wife and Soo Ho with his cheating wife than the main couple....the only characters I actually liked were the sister Yoo Ra and the main girl's friend. I also felt intrigued by the character of Min Ho and Soo Ho. Lol so that was very unfortunate. I really enjoyed the music though - I think that was what got me through this drama.
Yeah the ending is super confusing even if you understand Chinese. My take on this is that they were trying to…
Oh. My. God. THAT would make so much more sense! There ARE like 3 different endings now that you point it out. I thought the ending was confusing too and that I must be missing some scenes or some background narration or something (though I managed to piece it together as one ending - forcefully). But if we were to stop watching at certain times of the last episode, we'd get different endings to our liking. Omg lol I feel more... at ease now? Hahaha yeah, I'd definitely take your way of thinking that there's alternate endings than just one big disjointed ending.
I was going to rate it an 8 but the last episode made me give it a 9. After the end, I couldn't help but have a good cry. It was a happy ending but something about it just made me cry! It was a beautiful ending :') I feel satisfied with how it ended for all the main characters though I would have liked to see Secretary Goo have a normal life as he has spent years on his revenge/justice lol. Also, so curious who Geum Bi was going to marry (some sucker rich guy or average joe)?? All in all, I enjoyed this show :)
Thanks for this posting - really appreciate your opinions and LOO scores hahaha! I started watching My Heart Twinkle Twinkle because of your post and so far it doesn't disappoint! I'll definitely be checking out a few others on this list when I'm done with MHTT.
If you ever decide to try other dramas that are not Korean, I can recommend some Chinese dramas with some intense/obsessive male leads :)
Considering all of her problems related to her face (that her husband obsessively loves), I found it weird that…
I thought that same thing too but I think at the end of the day, she just didn't give it much thought/doesn't care and all she wanted was to not have her own face anymore - any face will do as long as it's not the face she has that her husband is obsessed with as that's who she is trying to escape. She might be thinking that since the doctor is already doing her such a huge favour that he can just choose any face he likes as long as she looks different.
I know right! I'm having the same problem. I feel so guilty for preferring Evil Husband over Mr. Plastic Surgeon…
Right!! It wouldn't be this addicting without Ryu Soo Young. Dying for next week's episode! Based on the previews, things are going to really pick up next week!
wooahh it's hard to pick a team because also the Evil Husband is really really hot
I know right! I'm having the same problem. I feel so guilty for preferring Evil Husband over Mr. Plastic Surgeon lol but holy moly his acting is just top notch....
Ugh every time i want to start a new series the comments end up really bad and i would feel conflicted , should…
Give it a try! I enjoyed it. The first few episodes really drew me in - there was just something about how the first episode ended that I love and just totally sold me lol
On episode 5, very sweet so far. I suppose the angst is coming? I don’t know much about this drama, does it…
I'm probably responding wayyyy too late and you're probably done and have your answer but just in case:
There's not much angst in this drama in my opinion. And it's a sweet happy ending. The overall drama was just such a breeze, light, and SWEEEEET drama lol.
One of the best dramas ever! Can't believe it's already been 4+ years since it's been out. I never expected myself to love it as much as I do. Never had I ever re-watched an entire drama from first episode all the way till the end, 3 times. The acting, characters, plot, cinematic flow, music (so fitting, spot on and powerful), everything was just perfect. Of course, to each their own. I raved about this drama to a friend of mine and she did not end up liking it to my disappointment...lol but I still stand by it and hope that who ever is considering on watching this to give it a try!
Your post made me laugh out loud. Love your humour! I agree with most of the dramas on your list too. I'd recommend "Well Intended Love" onto this list as I've recently just finished it and it gave me the same feels as Love O2O. Very sweet and I find myself smiling through almost all episodes. The poster they have on MDL is not a great one, I nearly overlooked it since it did not attract me at all but after watching a YouTube recommendation of it, I gave it a try and it was The. Best. Decision. Ever. The downside is, I don't think there's good English subs for this drama yet... so hopefully there will be someday soon!
