this story has gone off the rails a long time ago. I don't expect anything to make sense. but I do understand why the King had him kill Mo Yi. The same reason why he had him manipulate his grandma. If they don't end the issues quickly he will lose control of his court. Yu is intentionally trying to divide the court for his own strength. If they took this case to trial Yu and other officials would have stirred up some more mess.

Remember Mo Yi was not even the target. They framed him so they can get to Zhao. Yu is just waiting for an opportunity and a disrupted court gives him one.

i stopped reading at makes no sense. Think about all the historical dramas you've watched and think about how many of the kings actions made sense... 😂

not really. a sacrifice is a sacrifice. Mo Yi was his man just like Zhao is now his man. He will use him until he can not use him anymore and likely be sacrificed like Mo Yi if he cannot save himself.

He is doing what he was asked to do when he first was helped by the then Prince. He said he need someone to do his bidding. Now that he is King, Zhao is doing his bidding.

This is the path that his wife paved for him whether she likes it or not.

Just like Mo Yi's wife sent him to his death.

I disagree. it wasn't a superstitious belief if it was something she saw or had forewarning. These things are real. She forewarned the mother, the mother didn't give it her full attention. Min Hwan, was unable to control his faultered mind. That's not grandmas fault. He was having emotional issues prior to overhearing that conversation.

He also heard his mother state her trust and his brother's relationship with him. So those are some great excuses.

If I overhear that someone thinks I'm going to kill someone. my intentional next action should be not to kill them, prove them wrong.

and even if he was traumatized from the things he overheard, that doesn't excuse him from multiple murders.

Also, and I'll have to watch it again. I don't think he murdered his brother. he just didn't report the truth. because he was afraid of what had already been forewarned. but I would have to rewatch i can't remember if he pulled his brothers hand off so he could fall.

But blaming grandma is a far reach. IMO

oh wow. I only read Jin Hwan's part. I did see the conversation in the series but it wasn't this in depth. Thanks. So much of the drama is melding now. How could the writers not give us that depth. a 5 minute scene explaining this would have gotten this drama a few extra points

she actually had no right as she is not an official. so there's that.

can we write the next episode. fl and ML decide to escape the capital to live off the land happily ever after.
