I haven't watched ep 11 yet and do not plan to unless 12 is more hopeful. Since the writers are literally forcing DoDal down our throats at this point, it really makes me wonder why they added so many details/hints to HJP's character.

For example: the theory on Twitter about the ancestor lady resembling Fate. If it was just a comedic scene and means nothing more, then why is this cameo seen wearing two different outfits when talking to DM and JP if there is no other significance?? DM and JP are wearing the same clothes from the kalguksu scene (thus it is the same day) yet the ancestor lady is seen wearing black when talking to DM and wearing red when talking to JP. The ancestor lady gives both of them the same advice and tells JP not to regret his decision because everything happens for a reason. Like if it means nothing then did Lee Bo Young just have a wardrobe malfunction or something??

The last lines in DMs letter give me hope. They could've made DM find out about the letters in so many different ways (like by the handwriting AI app) but she finds out by finding JP at the birdhouse, like she said she would in the letter.

Yeah those two factors are very strong ones but unfortunately will make the relationship and chemistry seem forced to me. I saw that post on Reddit and I agree it is likely going to turn out that way. You make a good point with the song choice too. I wonder if there's more symbolism or different interpretations of the parallels between jidal that suggest a dodal ending instead?

Has anyone come across strong theories/analyses that point to a DoDal ending? I am interested in reading some because I am not really convinced that DoDal is (or should be) endgame other than the fact that NJH is the top billed actor (and the lack of promos with KSH)

Yes! The writer has not disappointed me yet and I have loved all her MLs and SMLs. She built up HJP's character gradually since episode 1 and it is still looking upwards! Meanwhile, I cannot say the same for NDS. I don't know how the writer can pull off such a (needed) personality change in just 6 episodes. I think especially if NDS has a sudden change in character after the time skip, it will seem unnatural and out of place.

Y'all ever think about how once Ji Pyeong finds out about Grandma's impending blindness, Dal Mi is the only one who will understand his pain? Hopefully his relationship with Grandma will be revealed to Dal Mi here, if not sooner.

And in the incombustible bag scene in episode 7, Dal Mi tells Ji Pyeong to ask her for help when he's struggling. Remember when Ji Pyeong once asked Yeong Shil "will Dal Mi understand me like you do?" I hope she does T__T

Interesting! After knowing how much time and effort was put into the script and directing, I think this shows how important the little details are. Which is why I still have like 0.001% hope for a Miji ending hahaha. There are just so many parallels between SDM and HJP that cannot be ignored, as well as all the small details and emphasis the show puts on HJP's character.

Also, about the writer's other dramas, the SML gets the girl in Dream High! And while the SML in WYWS was very lovable, I don't think his character was written as strongly as HJP, which makes me have a litttttttttttle bit of hope that this drama will have the most dramatic plot twist in kdrama history. :)

When Grandma told Do San to lie to Dal Mi about her impending blindness - did he keep the secret from her for MONTHS like he did with the letters? No. Do San chose to tell Dal Mi.

Do San also had many chances to come clean to Dal Mi about the letters.

A lot of ppl assume kdrama fans develop unrealistic expectations in romantic relationships but I think watching kdramas helped me realize what I look for in a partner. IRL, I would like my partner to have similar traits as Ji Pyeong and Ri Jeong Hyeok from CLOY :) both such respectful, kind gentlemen hehe
