Is it true that the level of school bullying portrayed in Korean dramas accurately reflects the reality, or is…
i heard that there really are a lot of bullying cases in Korea so honestly I won't be surprised if this is true

Cinematography is stunning. It feels like a breath of fresh air. It's a bit slow, yet complicated and full of…
I really loved this show but I hated the ending. I didn't like both endings. I feel like they should have ended it after last fight. Everything after that just felt like it was being dragged out and it was hard to understand.

It's the never-ending shedding of tears for me :") I watched this because I switched on the tv and wanted to watch something. I was not expecting to shed buckets of tears AHHHHHH 😭

the actor seems nice and capable, i wish he had gotten to do more in the role but also glad he didn't go evil…
True. Him going evil would have been worse, such a cliche.

Sun Yi and Zhang Binbin are really not the leads in this. They do not get much screen time. What a disappointment.
yikes, thanks for telling. Was going to watch this for Zhang Bin Bin. Seriously, he deserves better. Seems like most of his shows are trash. What a waste of his acting skills

Ah yes right, he saved A'Sun! Almost forgot about that 😅 Also, when I said he did his job well I was mainly referring to as an envoy. Didn't make it clear. He certainly was very influenced by his friendship in the beginning, trying his best not to let Changge get caught. This is my first time watching a drama with Alen Fang so I didn't really have much expectations for him or his character going in. I just feel like he didn't do much. I watched the video and he's right. He said he only sees Leyan as a sister but somehow acts competitive around Haodu especially when it's concerning Leyan but at the same time, it's Changge that he likes. This wasn't really what bothered me though. I think it's more so because I feel like we didn't really get to know Wei Shuyu that well as a character? With Leyan and Haodu we get to know them a bit better, their relationship with their family, what they are like as a person, the things they've been through. But with Wei Shuyu it feels like he's just there. We don't really get to see any sort of character development that we get to see with Leyan, or even Haodu in terms of his relationship with his father, and how he kind of changed a bit when he got more comfortable around Leyan and their relationship progressed beyond that of princess and bodyguard. (I'm comparing him to Leyan and Haodu because I feel like all 3 of them are supposed to be the main supporting casts)

Wei Shuyu feels almost like a background character except he's always around the main leads. To me it felt like he was trying to claim credit that he didn't deserve especially when after Hao Du found Leyan, Wei Shuyu said that he would have found her first had he not been called back by the emperor or something. And the fact that he was given another job by the Emperor despite massively failing the previous one by letting Leyan go missing. Also, we hardly see him fight at all, and yet when he was about to join the challenge for Leyan's marriage, he was so confident about winning against the Young Khan?? But yeah...he didn't feel like a very solid character to me, unlike the others.

And no, your comment didn't affect my viewing! It's nice to just have these kinds of discussions

I just finished the drama and...did I miss something? 😳 He does his job pretty well I guess, he's impartial and does what he's supposed to do without getting influenced by his emotions or friendships. But...I kind of still think he didn't meaningfully contribute much to the story.

okay I'm done watching. I'm guessing you were going to say Yuan'er won't hate her mum because of how the rest raised her up making sure she wouldn't suffer? And just make sure she's having a good childhood.

Wei Shuyu is so irrelevant. They could have removed his character from the drama completely and it wouldn't even make a difference. I have 15 episodes left but I highly doubt he's going to do anything meaningful in any of the remaining episodes lol

Don't mind me just in the comments here ranting about a minor character and a pretty minor scene that probably won't have much impact on the whole storyline. I just needed to rant about this. I don't understand people who have such a mentality.

Episode 15 when the Governer's wife killed herself after the governer himself killed himself. And when Changge was like "Fools! You two are fools!" yes, sis. They're mega fools indeed. I just don't understand why the wife had to kill herself too. Don't tell me it's because of love because I find that a stupid excuse. You said the Governer dying was the highest glory he could achieve as the army's leader so why did you have to kill yourself too? Almost made it seem like he died for a measly reason. You love your spouse so much that you're willing to leave your toddler child defenseless, parentless, and alone? Wow, what a good parent. If I were Yuan'er I'd grow up to hate my mother for leaving me alone when my dad just left me. Like she could have stayed and continue living for her child which she brought into this world, but no can't bring myself to live anymore because my husband died. Nevermind the fact the the child I brought into this world will be alone. She's not good enough reason for me to live :/

True, there were quite a number of things unexplained in this drama. Like why the people in Yung need partners, why only some of them need counters etc.
