Where are you guys watching the show? I can't seem to access WE TV from my region.
If Viu is available in your country, you can watch it there. Although I'm guessing if WeTv is not available in your region, chances are Viu is probably not either. (Viu is available in most Southeast Asian, Middle Eastern and a handful of African countries)
I'm usually never one to ask for a second season when a drama ends (without a cliffhanger) but with this one, seeing how they ended the drama with room for a continuation, I really hope season 2 will be a thing!
One of the best drama with great blending of all genre. Even though the last few episodes dragged slightly it…
I think they only added his character only to kill him so that they can show how...different So Mun is? Wi Gen mentioned after that counter's partner went into So Mun, that So Mun is the connecting "bridge" / the door between the world and Yung.
I agree with most of the points you made. Ko Mun Yeong bugged me a lot too. I somehow don't feel Jang Man Wol…
To be honest I view Jang Man Wol as a slightly more toned down version of Ko Mun Yeong. She's definitely not as bad but I still don't think a person like her who is constantly so snappy would be a joy to be around.
I don't know if it's just me but for It's Okay to Not be Okay I didn't really find that any of the characters…
Yeah Gang Tae didn't really excuse or romanticize her behaviour but that didn't stop a lot of viewers from romanticizing her behaviour, saying she's badass and really cool
I agree with most of what you said here and you explained many things I felt but couldn't really put into words! When I watched It's Okay to Not Be Okay, I honestly wasn't a fan of Ko Mun Yeong but people seemed to love her because she's....I don't know badass or something? But she did so many things that made Gang Tae feel uncomfortable which made me, the viewer, uncomfortable because I know if I were in Gang Tae's situation I would be so not okay, and if the gender roles were reversed, the things that Ko Mun Yeong did would definitely not be okay at all.
And also True Beauty yes! I think the show really failed to do what it was supposed to do. I would say though, it probably did try to carry out the message of finding beauty in your true and inner self a lot better than My ID is Gangnam Beauty did. But I would still call it a flop because like you said, the drama focused more on the love triangle rather than Ju Gyeong's journey to discover her true beauty.
What a fascinating cast! This was interesting to read although seeing Gao Weiguang casted as Voldemort had me going "noooo" (while laughing lmao). But you know what, I think he can pull it off ;)
I've never watched Novoland drama before. I've heard of them but never really check them out. But it actually sounds pretty interesting! I'll definitely be coming back to see and decide which one I'll watch first!
So I’m wondering if I should watch this, I’ve heard a lot of good stuff about this drama but idk, can someone…
- I can't remember what episode they officially get together but they sort of start to care for each other pretty early on (well mostly the ML caring for FL. FL took slightly longer and also in denial). They officially got together in the second half of the drama if I remember correctly. - There weren't any breakups between the main couple. - The sfm was a bit annoying at the start but she sort of had a redemption arc and backed off so she's not really a problem. - SML tho was very pushy and basically couldn't really take no for an answer. He was involved in the politics but he wasn't on anyone's side except the Queen's, everything he did was for her sake. So he was basically trying to protect her but still kinda pushy. I find him kinda meh. - as for happy ending...well I guess it depends. The Queen (the real one) and the King have a happy ending but the real main character Bong Hwan who entered the Queen's body when he time traveled ended up going back to his world and going on with his life as normal so...it's kinda just like that.
Overall, I would say this drama is indeed very funny like most people say it is. But I personally just wasn't feeling the plot at all. This drama also felt very slow-paced. To be honest, I found it quite boring. Only in the second half did I get slightly more interested because it felt like something was finally happening. After completing the drama I feel like this drama might have been a bit overhyped because the plot line as a whole wasn't that spectacular for me. If you're in it for the comedy only then you might enjoy it. But if you're expecting more from the drama beyond the comedy (and some romance) then this drama might not be for you
How come she's always cross-dressing? I think she played a male character pretty convincingly in I Will Never Let You Go but in Ni Chang she looks so very feminine, it's weird to hear Ni'er call her Ge lol
I'm starting to think I have weird taste in dramas because dramas like this one which people love im not getting…
same! I've watched several other really popular dramas (cdramas & kdramas both) as well and most times I don't really get the hype. In some cases, the dramas were pretty enjoyable but I wouldn't call it spectacular to the point of garnering such hype. Honestly I was looking forward to this drama because of how popular it is but now that I'm watching it, it feels kinda too slow-paced and I'm just not really feeling the plot line. I'm getting kind of bored of it.
