My #1 movie and drama: Better Days and Nirvana in Fire.

I enjoy crime thrillers and emotional dramas/movies. I like when there’s a lot of action and good visuals, but the plot and characters are always the most important to me. I’m not a big fan of romances or comedies - I prefer when romance or light humor is just a subplot and not the main focus (it's best when there's none of it, though).
I’m especially interested in historical stories with politics, schemes, power struggles, and intrigue. I find the political systems of Imperial China and Korea’s historical dynasties really fascinating. I guess that’s why I’m usually drawn to stories where strategy, tension, and character development matter more than romance or exaggerated humor.
I don’t watch many Japanese dramas because I sometimes struggle with the more exaggerated acting style, but there are exceptions, of course. The live-action adaptations of Rurouni Kenshin are a great example.
