My #1 movie and drama:
Better Days | Nirvana in Fire

I like crime thrillers and emotional dramas/movies, as well as wuxia, xianxia and xianhuan themes (or murim in Korean dramas). I like it when there's a lot of action and good visuals, but my priority is always the plot and characters. I'm not a big fan of romances and comedies, but I don't mind watching them every now and then - I like it more when there's a romantic subplot or light comedy, but it's not the main focus.
I love Chinese and Korean historical stories with politics, schemes, power struggles and intrigues. Never thought I'd say this, but the political systems of Imperial China and politics of the Joseon Dynasty in Korea are really interesting. And yet I dislike all other political topics, especially the modern and current ones.
I don't really watch Japanese dramas, I can't get used to their theatrical and over the top acting, though there are exceptions, of course. For example, the live-action adaptations of Rurouni Kenshin were really good.
