Yes tbh the more "cute" scenes they tried to show of Sang Yan following her, the more weirded out I got. Like…
yesss you pointed out everything that i was weirded out by. the game thing genuinely made laugh at how ironic sang yan's backstory was starting to become. definitely heavy on how this drama would've sufficed with a reunited love trope.

I never considered it stalking because he was only there to see her from a distance. He is just trying to see…
but she did say, not to bother her anymore. he went out of his way to find her. and a stalker doesn't need to evade anyone's 10m radius of physical space to be considered a stalker. finding and following to where they work and where they live is enough to be considered stalking. and no one normal and sane comes to the conclusion "oh! my crush doesn't have ig, let me fly over to their town and watch them from a far, silently, for many years". i understand just letting this go as a cute romantic drama, but don't ever use these excuses in real life.

is there anyone else who feels like sang yan's character is just way too ironic for the message this drama seems…
it was a decent drama tho. their chemistry was great. and romance was good. unfortunate on how extreme they decided to go with sang yan's "love".

is there anyone else who feels like sang yan's character is just way too ironic for the message this drama seems to be pushing?

Wen Yifan is sexually assaulted, stalked and followed, by her uncle. It's creepy and gross, and it traumatised her for 10 years. But I just couldn't help but notice the way that Sang Yan was kind of... doing the same thing?

sure, you can argue, he did it out of love and because he cared or whatever. but it just doesn't look great from the audiences view if we were to remove all the romantic and twinkling music and filters. He follows her and basically stalks her, he watches her every move, trying to eavesdrop on every conversation to get her info. if this were any other drama, i would've just shrugged it off. but the drama focuses on such heavy topics of SA, stalking and obsession with a character that continues to haunt her, its hard not to notice when the ML is doing the same thing (excluding the SA part). It got worse and worse as the episodes continued which continued the extent of how far Sang Yan went and i was literally scoffing and begging the drama that there was no need to go this far.

I'm literally confused on what the author/writer's intention was on writing Sang Yan doing all these extreme stuff. to show comparison on what good stalking and bad stalking is? I'm so confused that as i'm writing this, i'm actually getting offended that they used SA and stalking as such a strong conflict, to then write such a conflicting male lead to portray him and his actions as "romantic".

wow i usually trust ratings for high school romance dramas but honestly this is probably the most overrated high school drama yet? i dont know if it because i trusted the ratings but it was kind of really boring? the main characters, especially the male lead, leans in the bland category with the female lead pulling the weight time to time. ill give the drama credit for the production and directing but other than that. i genuinely dont see where the 9 /10 rating comes from. personally its like a 7.5-8/10 for me and could only see an 8.6 rating highest but well... damn

omg i really like this adaptation of cherry magic. except for the second couple, i'm really enjoying everything in this drama. this really re-ignited the love i had for taynew 5 years ago. their chemistry has gotten so much better, it's driving me insane.

that's because mdl is a drama forum. this is where people go to review and rate a drama. people who don't come…
that's what critics are supposed to do though? they talk about the little parts of editing and dialogue and what not. and youtube does the same thing, they talk about small cute things in each episode. there are episode reviews in the episode guide section if you want full ep reviews. a rating film/drama/book forum will always be negative (and equally positive), thats what rating is... people arent going to give >8 to every show...

He feel conflicted and bad about what he have done. Why should he come back otherwise after his soccer? He could…
yeah that's exactly what i was talking about. why did he easily feel sorry and is making up for his behaviour? it doesn't make sense for him to do a complete 180 straight away. i wish he felt conflicted on how he should treat sailom after witnessing sailom's personal life rather than immediately feeling bad and sorry.

yeah ep 3 was a bit weak. i agree with most people, i wish the incident last episode made kanghan feel conflicted instead of empathic and sorry about his past behaviour, but whatever. It's still pretty good so far and these two have such good chemistry. and to have a pair who can both act, especially with their eyes, is chef's kiss (man its sad that my standards for bl acting is so low)

It is crazy how comments on MDL is always wild and full of negativities compare to the youtube lol. But have to…
that's because mdl is a drama forum. this is where people go to review and rate a drama. people who don't come here are just regular watchers and don't think too critically about a project. reviewing and rating a drama is an extra step for drama critics, of course there is going to be critics on a drama rating forum.

Ofc hot/pretty privilege exist, but I do not know where did you guys get the info that this is the reason why…
well that's great that they ran hills. doesn't change their acting skills does it? as you said the world is harsh. my criticism is as well. film critics exist you know? in film you will 100% always be met with at least one critic, no matter how good the film or actor is. so yes, i feel absolutely fine critiquing their performance because that's how critiques work. it's for them to get better. i am open to critics for my work because it helps.

and i deleted bc i didnt need another essay. but i got it anyway. goodbye.

you're not getting the point at all and coming up with excuses for being bad actors with consistent lead roles. thank you for the discussion.

it seems you're more upset at the fact i said that they're popular because of their faces rather than me saying how shit they are at acting.

babes, they're shit at acting. that's my main point. for whatever reason they are popular, i do not care. sure, let's say their faces are not the reason for their popularity. doesn't change the fact they're lacking experience.

the only reason actors should get casted is because: 1. they're good at acting and 2. they fit the role. any other reason is a problem and i'll point it out, it's not being negative to point out the other negative. and how can people try if they're never given the opportunity to? you're the one who needs to have a grasp on how the world works. prejudice, sexism, racism, homophobia, and so much more all contribute to why people will never get the opportunity to try. that's reality. (and why do you keep saying im blaming joongdunk? like it's a problem in the industry itself as a whole)

and acting is a skill that you CAN learn. that's why acting classes exist. you can be inspired by other people and you can make it into your own. that's where inspiration comes from. like have you seen films with amazing ensembles? they work off each other to be the best they can.

what on earth are you ranting about? i didn't even say anything about anyone being jobless. but it's a known fact that the film industry around the world no longer seeks natural talent, they seek nepo babies and good looking faces. its very rare that a good talent pops up once in a while.

if no one speaks about pretty privilege, then the film industry is the one that's going to go nowhere in life. Producers like Aof are also the reason why this privilege (whether visually or financially) exists everywhere. tiktokers are getting main roles, when actual actors deserve it more. pretty idols (who have no experience in acting) are acting more in dramas, debuting straight into main roles, when there are actors out there with 10 years of experience but could never show their 100% because no one hires them. i can name so many pretty no expression actors that keep getting more and more roles, despite people always pointing out how bad of an actor they are. it's sad that you think this way, the more people like you exists the more actual actors will not get a job. i don't have any "faves" that i can point out but there is bound to be actors that are desperate for lead roles and can actually act and i'm rooting for them to finally get their moment and proper role to shine.

and once again, you're bringing problems that i didn't even mention. whether they even make money or not is not the problem, the problem is that they get the role in the first place despite their lack of experience. the reason people are attracted to joongdunk is obviously because of their looks and their fan-service. no one has yet to praise joongdunk's acting skills.

and you can very much learn from how seniors act, that's why people praise an actor's skill or work ethic. there has been so many stories where actors get inspired by how other actors prepare or express themselves. that's all learning. how do you learn if you don't learn from others? if you want to learn how to make egg fried rice, you look it up on youtube or ask your mum. you get better over-time, that's called improvement.

the amount of essays defending the acting in the comment section are so funny. like you ain't convincing anyone if they think someone is bad at acting.

to me, as a general unbiased watcher, dunk is obviously a very weak actor (joong is too, honestly). therefore, should not be the main. if you're a weak actor you should be a side character and watch and learn from the talented ones. once you progress, you can take a main role. that's how it SHOULD be but heh having a good looking face gets you places (and a lot of defenders).

I can't complaint about the OST because I feel it adds to the episodes even more. 😭😭 specially the instrumental.…
oh the instrumental of the ost is chefs kiss, but it would've been nice if they composed a few different bgms with the same vibe, it doesn't necessarily have to be an ost.

This drama is really good so far, storyline-wise and production-wise.

Only criticism is, as much i love the ost, i feel like they're using it way too much.

Title Our Skyy 2
Bad Buddy is #5 on my list of all-time worst BLs, so naturally I had to check out its episodes of Our Skyy 2.…
You sound so fucking conceited. He doesn't need to get of Thailand at all. Thailand has some great movies and dramas out there with hundreds of great actors, you just probably haven't watched any due to the lack of international promotion. Thailand has its own style, humour and structure. You don't like it, stay out. Instead of spreading this stupid Korean/Japanese is superior mindset.

If you're aware you're too old for it, then cool don't watch. It's so stupid how straight dramas get to be called cute high school romances but any time BL gets one, it's called fan-service. Like stfu, let the young gays enjoy a bit of young gays, no matter what country it comes from.

Perhaps he is sexy for men not women .☺️
I highly doubt that. I bet there are people that will find him sexy regardless of gender. I'm personally open to both feminine sexy and masculine sexy. there are actors who do it well but James is just not one of them.

I'm sorry but I have to say it.

James (Uea) is not sexy at all.

or at least in the way he's trying to portray himself. as if he's this sexy feminine bottom-kinda thing. it's just not working. it's even worse because the directing and editing for the nsfw scenes are so bad, it makes him look even more awkward than he already is.

edit: I'm not saying James is unattractive. He is in fact, really pretty and good-looking but it's the sexual image that he is putting on himself in the bed scenes that I find "unsexy".
