Yeah they are mad about the plagiarism issue the most I think. The author doesn’t want to admit it or smth it seems. I think a lot of lpl fans are mad because they are using the ids of players/not really changing the ids and they are using the player’s stories. Probably also an issue of worrying the drama may incorrectly portray a player as they are quite obviously based on real ppl. Esports and especially league is very popular in China so it’s pretty sensitive.

Not officially banned, they've just made it super hard to produce any type of these shows. Tencent stopped holding auditions for Chuang 2022. We probably won't be getting any of these survival shows for a while... The thing is, the government doesn't like idols (a huge reason as to why Idol Producer got rebranded into Youth With You), so they really took this opportunity to try and suppress the fan culture and all.

Yeah I hate how they are being so secretive and stuff. I am pretty sure they filmed the finale because that's what it looks like based on fansite stuff. We have photos of all trainees leaving work besides the rumored debut group and Shiqi is going to have a schedule on the 15th. They were really left with no choice but to film it yesterday because they only had dachang rented out until the 8th. We get either this or no debut group/finale at all, but I do not like how they literally ended voting with 0 notice?! iqiyi PR really confuses me, maybe the government didn't wan them to say anything I have no idea...

Ep 23 is the live finale and we have no idea when the finale will be. iQIYI hasn't even officially announced the postponement of the finale actually, only filming is stopped. But they have changed their Youtube banners so it most likely won't be happening on Saturday. At the moment, there are many many guas flying around, contradictory, saying there might not be a debut night, etc etc. Some say there is definitely going to be a debut group. It's all very crazy, so it's best not to trust any gua. At this point all we can do is wait, the situation is not in iQIYIs hands anymore.

They said the reason is because they are being investigated now. It’s all because iqiyi refused to give a statement in time on the whole Tony situation and many other fans complained to the gov and higher officials, so now they are launching an investigation. At this point it is much bigger than the Tony scandal. It’s a survival show dilemma.
