So watching True Beauty reminded me of Start-up (i.e. love triangle) and while I'm shipping the ML there I never once felt the need to stomp on SL shippers swooning over the character or the actor since I'm already "winning" in the triangle, so why NDS shippers feel like they need to is beyond me
Lucky you. Actually there are few love triangle kdramas that even with SLS I don't feel deprived of his/her character (e.g. Reply, K2, Two cops). But the point is some of us don't get to choose who we like/ship, it doesn't mean we don't know who the ML & SL are. Simply "checking for ML" as you suggest is not magically going to shift emotions. I'm rooting SH in this but I often get SLS too so I understand the SJ shippers
I came from there too and I'm surprised to see him as a ml here....wow
Oh you thought I was commenting about run on? Hahahaha! That's funny. I watched this to see ML's acting bc he was so awkwardly cute in run on i wondered if that's just his real self + rookie acting. Ppl replied and said watch this. He's completely different here! Turns out he's just pretty good at playing awkwardly cute

I don't skip or fast forward (ever) so the problem is when I get bored it's emphasized lol but yes it's different for us. There are dramas where I enjoy the slow burn so I know what you mean. Unfortunately this is not one of those for me, maybe bc I was inkling for more secrets due to the genre idk. Either way it's really good overall the ending made up for my long wait
Maybe it's bc we've seen this relationship conflict too many times it doesn't trigger me anymore, or maybe bc i'm enjoying the comedy so much I find everything funny now. SH ascending beautifully is gold lmao
P.S. am I the only one not surprised? I thought this drama was screaming cliche, triangle, teenage love from episode 1...
I'm afraid to read through comments to avoid spoilers but can someone tell me if Kingdom (all 12 episodes of s1 & s2) has been concluded? Or does it end with a cliffhanger for s3?
Yes they kinda were. Even as he was getting married (arranged) he promised to make her Royal concubine so they…
Yes first is when he felt guilty when he started to think she wasn't his enemy after all (which is true bc she's not even a Kim he's a Jang lol) and wanted to understand her pov. Now he's starting to like even her/his weirdness but he still has motives and still using queen for it so we need to wait for him to really like her before he ends it with concubine.
Episodes 14-19 will be crucial as we're used to having it wrapped up by then. As long as they don't lose the comedy I'll be ok even if they drag the storyline
This is the first I'm seeing the actor. I wondered if he's a rookie actor who still acts a bit awkward or is he…
Just popping by to say you guys were right. I finished SFH - complete 360 from this. It was intense. Makes me want to watch more of this guy now (along with Kim Seon Ho and Lee Do Hyun)
My guess is that she is also trying to protect him by hating him so he doesn't feel beholden to their shit family.…
Exactly. So even if she hated him for these reasons (and not secretly trying to protect him or wtv greater cause) I think it's understandable and more realistic even.

He should but he hasn't fully realized he's fallen for the Queen yet. Even the hot kiss was only an excuse since he almost got caught searching for the ledger. His interactions with the queen are mostly for an ulterior motive, just end up being romantic and funny anyway
Okay, is King and Royal Concubine girlfriend/boyfriend? Royal Concubine is too upset for my taste. Did the King…
Yes they kinda were. Even as he was getting married (arranged) he promised to make her Royal concubine so they can be together. Remember that they both considered the queen an enemy at the beginning bc she's a Kim, so concubine may actually have that right to be upset
10 episodes in and I'm still laughing. Often series use comedy to get the viewers hooked, but only in the beginning…
Same. Plus I think Ep 11-13 are always crucial as this is where the climax and/or revelations unfold so some lose their charm in the midst of, while some just get draggy
So while watching Run on (first I ever seen the ML so I asked if he's a good actor or just naturally awkward/cute irl) someone suggested to see this.. now I have my answer.
This is so creepy it's good. The only down side for me is that it could've been reduced in half. Characters' roles were revealed & known early on so it's not exactly mind boggling. I kept watching to know how he ends up so the mid episodes slowly got boring. On the other hand, when the ending finally came it hit hard. I was beyond satisfied with how he ended up (writing wise)
