I watched 7 episodes in one go and really enjoyed it like I'm happy to my toes. Then had to wait a day for episode 8 and it was a slightly different experience... I realized when it's slow paced and character-driven, one episode doesn't give enough. For me at least. I guess I'll binge the rest when it's over~

Ah, didn't know he was an idol although I'm not surprised, he has typical idol visual. He's doing the awkward character so well I'm totally buying it, my only problem is I might subconsciously attach this character to the actor like I did Bogum when I first saw him in Reply

Yes even as you sum up the whole thing, you are literally describing each character instead of story-telling, bc that's all there is. No truth waiting to get revealed, no major conflict to resolve. I can't speak for everyone, but for me I ended up liking each character as a character not as part of a whole story, and chemistry was everything. That's the only driving force here. It's like watching their mere daily lives so you have to like them and be immersed in their emotions. I think this is what ROY was aiming for as well but for some reason the characters in ROY didn't get through me so I felt exactly what you are feeling now

EDIT: I've come to the conclusion that this is better off binged. Maybe you too will enjoy it more that way.

I get what you mean I just binged all 7 in one go, nothing spectacular is going on for the plot but I feel this is a character-driven drama rather than story-driven that you'd have to jive with the leads' chemistry and like the characters to enjoy the slow pace

This is the first I'm seeing the actor. I wondered if he's a rookie actor who still acts a bit awkward or is he just good at portraying an awkward character. Either way his awkwardness is insanely adorable

Personally I like reading comments from both sides specially when I haven't seen the drama. It's like buying a product & knowing what people like and dislike about it so that I have an idea. If you went ahead and reasonably explained why you didn't like K2 I would've still liked reading it even if we didn't share the same feeling towards it

Exactly. "He should just stick to action" makes you think why? Is he forbidden to explore his career lol, although it is fine to like his action projects more, that is preference. But I agree many ppl can't separate that

For instance I think not liking a drama is one's own preference but saying he SHOULD STOP these dramas makes you think why should he? If he wants to he shall. In the same manner if I don't like the drama I don't need to watch it either but I can still like him why not?

On the contrary, I like how a lot of JCW fans can be objective and can handle criticisms unlike for example most LMH fans (on MDL at least). Respecting someone's choices doesn't necessarily mean agreeing imo

Possibly. I took it from his ex's reaction they could be in a relationship but yes she could have been mistaken too. Either way FL makes us viewers angry and I'm still liking the show bc of how real that is. Kdramas usually make FL's as someone you'd want to be

I don't like nor hate him but I think his being over protective is somewhat justified by his encounter with queen night before the wedding, she was miserable and then he later found out she committed suicide then. On top of that when queen & concubine collapsed king ignored queen. Remember we might know as audience the development bw king & queen after those events but cousin doesn't. The only thing i can't stand about him is his disrespect towards king. Even queen said it. No matter how he hates the guy, he's still king.
