I've watched 5 - 10 raw and haven't seen any romance between our leads yet, but that isn't uncommon for a drama with this many episodes. // Editing to note it looks like there's some chemistry going on in mid-later part of episode 11. Romance is taking a long time. I'm in the middle of episode 18.

I've read the novel has a happy ending (not yet fully translated); however, there's rumors that the writer for the drama may take the ending in a different direction. Should know by this week when the drama comes to an end.

Currently watching episode 16 and wondering when Zhao Yao got the necklace from Mo Ching. I remember he dug it up in episode in 11, but don't remember him passing it to her.

My inner evil rejoices that he killed her in the novel. Thank you for the heads-up. I think online translated novel is only up to 14 chapters, so I'll wait. Looking forward to reading it now.

Thank you both for sharing your thoughts. Still unsure if I can handle the angst. Does the male lead, LCY, actually get together with the other female, Zhao Sese, at any point in this drama? Nothing makes me want to flip tables more than seeing the scheming characters get anything they want.

May I ask, are the leads in this drama faithful to each other? I love all the stills/photos, but am loathe to start it if there's other complicated relationships involved in addition to a tragedy... Most of the posts I read have a lot of pity for the female lead.

Stuck half way through episode 44 and finding it dragging. Disappointed the leads didn't have more screen time together. Broke and read some of the spoilers and having a hard time finishing the drama.
