Till the End of the Moon Episode 40

Not all stories have a clear and happy ending and some only give a brief glimpse of what's to come and that's what we have here in this story. I had to rewatch the end to understand our male lead was not entirely gone. His "death" ended him as the Demon god and he leveled up, but his divine essence is in Ming ye's dragon scale taking time to recover and reincarnate. This was an absolute epic adventure and story that could not be portrayed by any other leads than Luo Yunxi and Bai Lu. The behind scenes helped take the edge off the sadness and angst. Chemistry is too small a word to describe what these two stellar actors have. He has stars in his eyes when looking at her both on and off screen and her eyes turn to crescent moons from smiling so much much when she's with him. Hope we're blessed to see these two work together again.. and hopefully without the backdoor water armies and toxic fans trying to bring them down. They worked so hard mentally and physically to bring us a memorable story. They deserve the acknowledgement as do their fellow costars. So thankful to have finally seen Till the End of the Moon.

So much pushing and pulling that it can get tiring to watch, but the leads have a way of portraying their characters to keep me hooked and anticipating what's to come. There are slight changes in the story that make me thankful for the additional scenes that help make their stories more interesting.

I love that the uncle is trying to fix our leads up. So far, most of the complaints I see are from viewers unhappy with the fashion, how unexpressive Shi Yan is, and the business talk. I still cannot tell if his company is involved with venture capital or something else.

Aside from the overly ambitious, toxic colleague and the "mistress", I love the women in this drama and all three couples are cute and I don't feel the need to fast fwd through any of them. Hoping we see relationships blossom more and characters to evolve more than they did in the novel.

Cannot tell you how refreshing it is to have a female character that doesn't lose herself after breaking up with her loser ex.

There's something about the way Bailu portrays Zheng Shu Yi in an endearing and light-hearted way which I find is better than how the character is written in the Cnovel. Glad they got the heartbreak out of the way in this episode so we can look forward to our leads' story.

Why are sects and immortals held up on a pedestal, but are the most hypocritical and closet greedy? Such one sided views and unseeing of the overall picture creates more havoc and pain for Cang Jiumin as he rescues hi master from turning evil. Mistaken by his sect members was difficult to watch.

It's interesting to see the cat and mouse between our leads play out and also good to see that toned down the FL's shamelessness that's expressed in the novel.

Our leads are finally getting a chance to be closer and spend more non-work related time with each other. I like how attentive Shi Yan is with Shu Yi. It's nice that they are not quick to jump into the physical part of their relationship yet.

Funny to see the different relationships in this drama. Hoping we get to see character growth in the drama though it's lacking in the novel. Either way, I'm loving seeing Bailu and Wang Hedi costar in a modern drama together.

Shu Yi's misunderstanding of Shi Yan and her intern's relationship takes a comedic turn when he asks where she stepped off to and is given a phony excuse. We see Shi Yan's tiny smile as he walks away.

So far the story follows the novel pretty closely. I wish I waited till more episodes were released. 6 episodes flew by too quickly. Love Zheng Shu Yi's relationship with her BFF... even though she gives terrible advice.

Fun seeing the introduction of new characters and watching them develop. Looking forward to the niece bonding with our FL, Zheng Shu Yi.

In the "present" arc/back to 500 years, we see history has changed. The scenery and costumes are truly mesmerizing and have the xianxia feels as we enter the world of the immortals. Enjoyed this arc as we see our Tantai Jin become Cang Jiumin, a much loved and admired member of a sect.

One thing this novel's adaptation we see that differs from other xianxia dramas is the way they lay out the story. There is no care about following past stories, instead, they take the most unconventional paths. All the complaints we see and hear about other scripts are done in an opposite manner. This will no doubt anger some viewers, but surprise others.Watching the pain our FL goes through and seeing she feels the guilt of being part of the reason one of the most upright character's death was crushing. No one cries and crumbles in grief like Bailu. She totally disregards her beautiful image and "ugly" cries in such a way that I cannot help but feel the painful sadness.
