I scoffed when he asked Eun gyeol to show him his daughters smile like come on...you barely communicate with her…
Yeah, I reacted the same way. Like the audacity of this man!! He should be the one going to communicate with her and get her to smile instead of hiring someone to do it for himππ
Omg I really can't stand Cheong ah's Stepmom.. I hope she gets what she deserves. Honestly the dad is just as bad because he's just standing by, doing nothing, and basically neglecting his daughter..
One thing I don't think I've seen much people talk about is Cheong ah's dad... He literally asked Eun Gyeol to get her to smile at him? I'm sorry, but if he wants to have his daughter smile at him, then he should try better to bond and hang out with her... Like how are you expecting Eun Gyeol to get her to smile at you when you're not even trying to connect with her? He's just like "figure it out on your own and get her to do it." I really don't understand what's going on in his brain.. Also, if he wanted to get her to smile at him so much he could have personally given her the fax machine instead of just leaving it in her room and maybe she would have smiled at him. There's barely any scenes with Cheong ah and her dad. Maybe that's because there's barely any scenes of Cheong ah at all, but I also think it is because he does barely talk and interact with his daughter... So like bro, if you want Cheong ah to be happy with you, try talking to her and hanging out with her! He's really making this harder than it has to be. I'm pretty sure he doesn't even know any sign language either.. I'm not exactly sure how they're going to wrap that storyline up though.. they barely developed it and we only have 4 episodes left and there's a lot of stuff that needs to be wrapped up and figured out before the drama finishes... They really dragged out and put a lot of unnecessary stuff in this drama and for what?? It just led to this mess that we're starting to have.. and they're probably going to rush a lot of things to reach the end..
While I still enjoy this drama, I feel that it has so much missed potential of stories and character-exploring…
I completely agree with you! There's a lot of missed potential in the drama... omg and Mr Viva! Oh my gosh they could have done so much with him and Eun Gyeol, especially with their love for music and playing the guitar! It baffles me how he's barely in the drama. Like what is his purpose if the writers wanted to show him in the past? He really does not really have a purpose.. he's just there... Kinda the same with Cheong Ah too though.. besides a bit of her scenes with Yi Chan, she's just there. They donβt explore her character more or her family more or anything really. She's almost as lonely as she was in the beginning at the moment tbh.. and she's supposed to be one of the main characters? We also knew almost nothing about Cheong ah in the beginning and we still barely her now.. I think the romance between Eun yu and Eun Gyeol is really unnecessary. There is too much focus on Eun Yu and tbh her character and her story does not exactly fit in the overall story in my opinion. If they focused on helping each other get through their pains, then I can understand that. But the thing is, it's just romance.. we don't need romance right now.. they're both struggling. They need to get through those struggles somehow..
The ringing in Yi chan's has happened twice now. Both happened when he got hit in the head.. I hope they do something about that or explain or get him treated if he needs to. If the writers brush it off as just something that happened with no proper elaboration or effects in the future.. I'm going to be disappointed. I'm mostly saying this because I'm nervous that they're just going to leave it and act like nothing really happened. I'm mostly saying this because I've seen too many kdrama writers do this and I'm hoping this is not one of those writers..
From what Ive been saying from the start there really is no benefit for his dad hearing aside from his own selfishness.…
I think that in a way he thinks he's helping his dad by trying to save him from losing his hearing. And a part of him genuinely wants him to not lose his hearing. But it seems like another part of him is doing it so that he doesn't have to bear the burden of trying to take care of them? Which honestly, he needs to talk to them directly about in present day.. instead of trying to change the past.. And as for taking care of his family so much, it seems that, although he does love them a lot, he feels as though it is his responsibility to take care of them
please im starving, i need more cheongah scenes.. they did her so dirty
ikr, why are they doing her so dirty in this drama?ππ She got like a minute or two of screentime this episode.. she's like working with the band now! Does this make sense? Why does she have such little screentime?π
Honestly there's not really like a specific reason as to why Eun Gyeol needs to stop Yi Chan from losing his hearing... Would it be nice if his father could hear him in present day? Yeah. Would it maybe be easier on his life and on trying to convince his dad? Yeah, probably. But these things shouldn't be needed to be fixed by changing the past. It's not like everyone can just go to the past to change things to make things easier in the present. Things happen, conflicts arise, and problems are presented all throughout life. You've got to deal with it head on and work through them! Like that guy said, Eun Gyeol is missing the point of why he was sent to the past! The main thing is to enjoy his youth and learn to do what he wants and to stop taking on others' lives and problems as his own. Yi chan is already showing him that by doing what he wants and dealing with things head on! His brother also told him in a flashback in the previous episode that he should go live his own life doing what he wants! Eun Gyeol is still not exactly at that point yet unfortunately, and he is still trying to deal with everyone else's lives and problems. That being said, I really relate to Eun Gyeol.. I kinda have a tendency to be that way and hold myself back.. For some reason, I feel like stuff that I've been seeing lately is like a big message and wake up call for me lol
Depending on how the rest of the drama goes, this might just become one of my favorite kdramas! It's like my favorite combo of time travel, sweet romance (with not as much back and forth drama), and chaotic humor!! Although it's not exactly perfect and not all the humor scenes land for me, I'm really loving this drama!ππ
Idk about anyone else but I often expect basic or not that deep plot for these type of action/revenge films..…
Also, some people are saying it's a turn off your brain action film.. and I understand what you're saying because the film is pretty basic, but I don't think it's exactly turn off your brain action "fun." There may not be as much depth or complexity in this movie as people want but it's about getting revenge for the girls who have been sa-ed and become slaves. Now, they didnβt show much of the victims as they could have but I mean it's there. Two people have already shown their struggles and their distress over what they've gone through.. I donβt think this is exactly a "turn off your brain" film with those types of topics being brought up.. honestly even if the film is pretty basic, it gets me thinking more about how victims like them actually exist in our world. Idk how people can not think much about that....
Idk about anyone else but I often expect basic or not that deep plot for these type of action/revenge films.. there's really not much to it besides seeing how someone close to the mc has been wronged and the mc going on their journey of revenge.. I honestly was pretty satisfied with this movie. Is it the greatest movie ever made? No, but it's serves its purpose for what it presented itself as. I saw some people comment on the choi pro's lack of character. But while I do understand why you want some character (I often need characters to have character depth as well), I honestly feel fine with someone as bad as him not having any depth. 'Cause it just lets me hate him without trying to understand him. Often I feel like a lot of us try to connect or understand a character/person, but for people like him, I honestly think they aren't worth any consideration or empathy. I honestly think that the movie wanted to express the anger and hatred towards people like choi pro and the others in this world, and honestly ngl I feel like it slightly relieved some of my anger towards those kinds of people. Obviously, I know they're still out there and my hatred for those people and their actions are still there, but the film kinda let me take some of that anger out for me instead of leaving it bottled up and not being able to do much with it..
the characters are very fun , they could make 50 episodes of them just interacting and it'll still be fun for…
Yesss I agree! Honestly I wish this drama was much longer like 50 episodes like those family dramas but instead it's just them and their daily life lol
I think that's because it doesn't need debating. No one in their right minds, not even the dumbest criminls would…
Yeah... even if it is his first love that he still has feelings for, I'm still wondering why he would hang out so much around a cop if you're the head of a gang...? I'm not sure what kind of fantasy world he's living in if he things everything will be just fine?
Oh?π€ I just binged 11 episodes of this drama (and enjoyed it) and was waiting for the 12th episode. Now Kang Ha Neul is going to appear in the 12th episode?!π Can't waitt!!π€
