I'm not trying to hate on the drama; I'm just frustrated and wish it was written a bit better. In all honesty, I had my issues with Racket boys because I did not enjoy the subplot of the people in the village at all... it's not that it was bad, it's just that I found it unnecessary and uninteresting, but they at least balanced it out with the actual main racket sports team characters and their plot.. This drama however, feels like a bit of a mess... There's honestly too much focus on the antagonists and their scheming... I'm okay with having them and that plot in the drama because it just adds to the overall story, but they're really sorta dragging it out and not giving as much focus on the rugby team members.. like I'm sorry, I like all the characters on the rugby team and I have sort of an idea about them, but I feel like I barely know them as individual characters... we kind of know ung and seungjun but that's about it.. And I know that technically, the other guys are just supposed to be supporting characters, but they're still a big part of the main story and I just feel like I barely know them...
I'm 10 episodes in and honestly have mixed feelings on this drama... I was intrigued through the first half but…
Also sorry, but I absolutely hate the "doppelganger" thing with Ga on and Isaac (yo han's brother). I'm only okay with these type of doppelganger plotlines if it's done well and has an actual purpose.. I feel like if they really wanted to use this well, they could have made Yo han and the other politicians change up or be shooken up more by Ga on's presence.. if he only looked SIMILAR i guess it would be okay to have the story like this, but he doesn't. He's literally the copy paste of that man. Literally a doppelganger... it annoys me so much because it's shown and acknowledged a bit but then sort of brushed under the rug... like what was the purpose of it then?!? Why would you make them look exactly alike?? I'm confused too because it seemed like they wanted to do more with it in the beginning of the drama but then they just kinda didn’t..
I'm 10 episodes in and honestly have mixed feelings on this drama... I was intrigued through the first half but now I'm sort of getting bored tbh.. the only thing that's keeping me going is knowing the spoiler and wanting to see how that plays out. I skipped ahead to the scene... and i have to say, it's a pretty dumb scene unfortunately.. I expected more from a significant scene.. they did the character so dirty... I think this is the problem I have with a lot of kdramas.. they have good ideas and such but it ends up being lacking and the execution can be messy.. they really could have done more with this story, the characters, and the setting..
i hope her character in the next drama is a good person... she's been playing a lot of villian/antagonist roles lately lol.. and she's good in them, don't get me wrong, but I just miss her playing a "good person" type of role. the first and only drama I've seen so far where she plays a "good person" was in beyond evil lol..
Ngl I would love a drama just focused on Yi Kyung.. I find her character so interesting and would love to learn more about her.. She's the only thing I liked about this drama tbh..
Ooo it's out already?!👀 thought it came out later this month lol.. i'm even more excited now because people seem to be saying good things about it! Can't wait to binge it soon!!
i agree completely. the constant negativity is annoying. though do stick around if you will. i have actually been…
If you want to, would you like to discuss about the drama separately (not in the comment section)? I would love to discuss the drama with others but this comment section is kinda getting flooded by the negativity..
I understand the inevitable comparisons people are making between the cdrama and this remake, but y'all are not helping tbh. We're only 2 episodes in too. Like give it a chance jeez.. I've been excited for this drama, but some of y'all are bringing down the experience with your constant comparisons and negativity.. I just want to enjoy this drama and enjoy and discuss with others! I also wanted to give the original cdrama a try later because I've heard such good things about it, but some of y'all are making me uninterested in even giving it a try... I know that I need to get out of the comment section and online community to not see such negativity, and I'm going to do that because that is the only way I'm going to get to fully enjoy this drama. And I'm honestly sad that it has to be that way because I want to be able to enjoy this drama online with a bunch of people. I'm only commenting this right now because I know that there are other people that are trying to enjoy this drama as well, and I hope that some of y'all try to keep your critiquing to a minimum and try to enjoy this remake. If not, you could always just not watch it🤷🏻♀️ it's not that hard. Stop stressing yourselves out. I'm saying this for my sake and y'all's sake.
I feel like the fans of the cdrama are totally ruining the fun and experience here.. PLEASE STOP COMPARING AND…
Yeahh... I know I shouldn't pay attention to strangers' comments on the internet, but these fans man.. they keep comparing and hating on this drama.. it makes it hard to try and enjoy the drama with others when I see such comments everywhere I go... I was actually considering giving the cdrama a watch later because of all the good things i've heard, but now, they're making me not want to watch it at all..
What happened in the cdrama version with hae jun and park dal's characters? Did the writers just kinda build them up and provide the potential and then just not have them end up together? And is the kdrama version of how their relationship is developing at the moment similar or different to the cdrama version?? I want to know because I don't know if I should stay hopeful about them or not...
I don't remember much because it's honestly been a while, but literally in the beginning of episode 2, he barges into a criminal's hospital room and throws him around and strangles him to try and get answers out of him.. I know that guy is a criminal but still what the hell... and the ml is supposed to be a good detective?? it turned out the guy didn't know much about what he was asked either so.. I'm just wondering if the ml keeps acting that way throughout the whole drama.. I know it's not as violent as some people may think, but stuff like that turns me off tbh.. I would maybe be okay with it if he wasn't a detective, but he is.. I still want to know if he keeps acting that way tbh because I've been really wanting to watch this drama, but haven't really felt like continuing after seeing scenes like that..
yeahh same.. I knew he would be part of the cover up, but I didn't expect him to literally cover it all up after…
Yeah, exactly! You'd think that he'd at least try to do something right after his son dies because of him, but no, he just keeps covering it up🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
yeahh same.. I knew he would be part of the cover up, but I didn't expect him to literally cover it all up after sending the boys home... I honestly thought they were going to make Na Gyeom the main person to cover it up and control them and stuff, but then they threw in the chief? I mean I knew he was trying to control them and cover it up and stuff, but I didn't expect him to be THIS much involved..
I really hate and am annoyed by Na Gyeom but I really love and appreciate the actress Go Bo Gyeol for her acting and versatility! Love her for pursuing diverse roles and giving her best in each one! I loved her in Hi Bye Mama and Arthdal Chronicles, and as much as I despise and am disgusted by her character in this drama, I love her in this drama as well. It's actually making me a bigger fan of hers lol. Such a weird feeling to have: to hate the character but love the actress even more 😅 I mean I would like to actually like the character that an actress I like plays, but I guess I can just sit here and appreciate her versatility and acting skills👍
This is just my opinion on the drama (it's mostly negative), and I'm just ranting here because I need somewhere to rant about it. If anyone doesn't agree with me, you can politely move on. I respect everyone's opinions on the drama, but I would rather not fight over our views on this drama. Thank you. This drama is so messy... I know it can be realistic and life can be messy, but this is a kdrama. It should at least not be this messy and all over the place. Like the writers do some things that make me disconnect from the drama and/or the characters and they end up not feeling like real people. For example, seokryu's ex is technically not a terrible person but the writers try to paint him as this bad ex but then sike no, he didn’t cheat and is just a flawed human who is trying his best in his way. The writer does this thing where they're like "ooo they're hiding something, try to find out what it is. That happened but it's just a misunderstanding." It's so dumb tbh. The writers don't have to reveal everything right off the bat but why are we playing the game of "guess what's happening." Also, the flashback with seong hyo seeing his mom leaving with someone else was apparently just his mom leaving for work? What? I'm so confused as to what the writers are trying to do here... With good writing, this type of story with these sort of elements and the struggles the characters go through could have made for a really good heartfelt story. But the writers made it so messy and weird that I can't seem to fully connect with the story.
Does the ml continue to be this reckless and violent? I'm stuck on episode 2 because I'm not really liking the ml because of how violent and reckless he is so far.. of course, I should give it more time and see how it goes, but I can't get myself to get interested enough to keep watching... I just want to know if it's worth it to continue watching
