Dropped it on episode 9. I don't know how I lasted so long. If you're not going to adapt it to a live action, there's no need to do it. Webtoons don't translate well to live actions, especially in terms of pacing.
I hope they don't turn into Hollywood and start using kdramas as a propaganda machine.
I haven't watched that one. I saw some movies that didn't paint North Korea as CLOY did. Maybe that portrayal in CLOY is why the show was so famous outside of the kdrama bubble.
For Ji Chang Wook he has been doing all wrecked stories now, with no real effort at all
I'm inclined to agree. The one he made after this one was even worse, and it had similar problems: The actress who played his mother was 11 years older than him!!
I'm so angry rn. This isn't underweight. This is life-threatening weight. She's 1,64m. She's more or less my height. 37kg is extreme and might make her body stop functioning properly. She's already so thin in her regular weight. Why would she need to do this when there's CGI? When there's other tricks to make people look thinner? This sends a very negative message as well. I'm not going to watch this drama. I'm not standing for this. There's no money, no career, no fame, no commitment that is worth putting your life at risk like this and giving out this example to teenage girls especially.
Wait I'm so confused. So according to the synopsis Mild's character is 50yrs old? So the 50yr old is the cafe…
You're correct. And then they have the audacity to say the message for this is that age doesn't matter and you can be yourself and follow your dreams. This is false advertising for the plastic surgery industry. I can’t see it any other way.
This is why you shouldn't do any sequels. They doubled down on the stereotypes instead of breaking them. I can't…
what do you mean? women only laugh at silly stuff in their 20's? it's a gender specific thing? it died as you grow older? We're supposed to not find meaningless joy when we're older? I can't with all these stereotypes, really!
If I wanted to read a webtoon, I would. I don't know why there's absolutely no adaptation to the medium. An anime from a webtoon turning out like this would be ok, but a drama? It becomes boring because it's too fake and contrived. So it will probably be just chewing gum for the brain, like Hollywood rom-coms.
I didn't start liking the female lead till episode 9. I guess she's the character type that grows on you. I think…
I'm on episode 14 and still have a hard time liking that character. I understand her but it makes me angry, especially because I was raised somewhat the same way. It's no excuse for being a clueless ahole (sorry).
