i didn't expect to cry so much while rewatching a drama. it just reminds me so much of my parents, the way i treat them and the way they deserve to be treated. truly a masterpiece.
Tae Seo: I never look back on things. Buddy, you never looked or moved forward. Everything's her. She: dumps another…
the way you worded your opinions definitely gives off writer energy, very colourful and entertaining XD
for me i know by the 2nd or 3rd episode whether a drama is worth spending my time on and i could tell this plot was going crooked once those two split and went on their own paths to college
i honestly agree with jinyoung's drama choices regarding the witch and this drama--- but i think you could give our unwritten seoul a try! i highly recommend it and it's definitely not one person pining for another
I hope they not gonna give up everything at the end to go live on some farmland 😑😑😑. I hate when writers…
i think that ending is better than living in the capital that is unfamiliar to changyu and uncomfortable for xie zheng. it would be an ending i prefer.
i liked this , even though i didnt understand why she wanted to suddenly move out in the last episodes and the…
I feel like she wanted to see if he loved her as much as she loved him. Se-hee has never been a guy who puts his feelings into matters any more than he can handle, so when he experiences true love for the first time, he's reluctant to show his true emotions. I think Ji-ho wanted to give him space and time to sort out those feelings. And also, if I remember correctly, she mentions that she wanted to end the contract marriage and that their relationship was officially over. (I haven't rewatched this in quite a while, but this is my interpretation.)
I'm not enjoying the acting quite as much from both of the actors. Kim Min-ju has proved to be excellent in Hear Me: Our Summer, but I think after that project, her acting didn't get better or worse; it just remained the same. It seems to be a bit lacklustre for me, but it's not too much of a bother. On the other hand, Park Jin-young's acting is pretty much a copy-and-paste from Our Unwritten Seoul's Ho-su. The loss of hearing affected by his mental health sub point didn't help in that regard, only made it worse. And overall, it feels like their characters lack personality.
Another personal gripe of mine is how writers keep killing off characters' parents or make some sort of unhinged excuse for their absence. Tae-seo's negative characteristics come purely from this subplot and from nowhere else. Can we get some more character depth, pretty please?
Also, fingers-crossed there's no love triangles!!!
this sounds very interesting! i'm hopeful that it's gonna turn out good. i haven't seen unique jobs like subway driver being given a lot of attention in kdramas. the cinematography seems chef's kiss :> very hyped to watch this!
but if u watch the drama, his character was given a lot of importance. i might argue it was just as fleshed out as boyoung's characters. it was very well written and his acting truly shone.
Using AI in it really pulled me out of the drama. I even started wondering if the script was written with AI too...…
Finally I've met someone with the exact same thoughts as me! It's such an ignorant choice to use AI when the main characters literally work in the art industry... It took all the life out of the characters. Really how hard could it be to pay an actual hard-working artist to make something a million times better? Was the budget that tight? I don't think so after seeing the casting decisions. The same goes for a ton of recent kdramas. Either they use it in the background or its the first thing they show. Maybe that's why I don't enjoy a lot of the kdramas these days.
the ai slop turned me off, i'll be meeting them in a future project :>
edit: the crappy intro itself can tell u a lot about the care put into the drama. it doesn't seem like the budget is low when u look at the casting so i don't see a reason to use such stupid technology instead of paying a hardworking artist. :D hope this answers all the people getting annoyed by my comment
it's so fun and exciting!!! honestly lomon's character as well as hyeyoon's is quite refreshing. a broke guy goes from rags to riches and adopts a narcissistic personality--- that's something i definitely did not expect! and Hyeyoon just keeps showing her versatility beautifully :> she fits all roles!
The ending was a little weak; some aspects felt like they were concluded suddenly. I wanted to explore the relationship between pink finger and brown finger, as well as khaki finger and black finger. We didn't see her dad throughout the drama, but then we suddenly see him near the end. He ends up undergoing a drastic character development, too... that doesn't make sense? Her mom's arc was concluded quickly, but it was tied up well; the dad's arc wasn't.
However, I must say that I really enjoyed most aspects! This is one of the more rare times a drama should have been longer, possibly the standard 16 episodes.
Hyunjun was depicted as a childish loser who hid behind his dad, and his resentment towards him grew over time.…
agreed, there was never enough motivation. i actually don't think his dad was ever actually mean to him and his criticism was warranted. his behaviour was consistent but his motive wasn't.
The only person that reacted cha seon taek’s bs was almost Mr. Koi(almost cult member).I really didn’t understand…
i wholly agree!! their reaction was super weird. the beach scene lacked timing so bad. if only it came later in the series when everything was sorted out (i can't say earlier bc it has never been smooth sailing) than it would have been understandable. but they're facing a horrible crisis!
i liked miseon's confession, i really did but it feels like the chemistry between them has become a bit awkward and clumsy. they're both clearly in love with each other, so why is taepoong the only one who's showing it? (i don't mean to be harsh, but still...) when miseon saw taepoong all dejected in the ruined office, i was surprised she didn't run after him and comfort him in some way. there were so many missed opportunities to make the dialogues just ~ooze~ with love. but, you know what? i might let it go BECAUSE SHE KILLED THAT PUNCH AT THE END!!! THAT WAS SO DAMN SATISFYING!
also the conflict is getting way out of hand, oh my god. there's just a clear villain--- forget about pyo daddy (ahem) because he has a legitimate reason--- it's hyunjun! i mean, how far could jealousy and insecurity actually go?! it's not like his dad is constantly comparing him to taepoong, it only happened once or twice. is his ego really that fragile to mess with this dude? he literally has a dad that supports him and wants what's best for him (before he found out about his rivalry with taepoong anyway). WHAT IS THE MOTIVE HERE?!?!?!??!?!?!
