At least there was some glimmer of hope at the end of this short film. I think I’ve watched, practically, every short film airing on GagaOOLala, and they are all, either sad, destructive, or without an ending. It’s very frustrating. And although I realize gay life is neither easy nor always happy, it’s not always tragic, either, as these short films would lead us to believe. Can’t there be more hope and positivity in, at least, SOME of these short films?
The acting, in Gelboys, exceeds that of ANY BL series (and most non-BL series’), that preceded it! These, relative, newcomers (some literally), are giving off such natural, instinctual, almost improvisational vibes with their acting in this series—it’s just incredible. The story is basic, but realistic, genuine, really heart-felt, and down-to-earth. It’s so relatable to anybody, who has experienced one-sided love, wanting more than friendship, heartbreak, and everything in between. I really can’t praise this show enough!
There’s really no explanation for Shin’s stand-offishness, why he was so solitary, unhappy, and self-destructive. I was waiting the entire show for some significant backstory to explain it all, but it never came. I thought—ah, this will be the most interesting part…but, nothing.
Real world consequences happens the moment sex and love enters any relationship. Some people run, and some stay…
Thank you. I was feeling as if the people bashing this series had watched another show! I believe you and I were watching To my Star 2 and received exactly the same emotions from it, and appreciation of it. I thought it felt REAL—the writing, acting, and directing were so spot on. The feelings felt realistic and human. I am in awe of writing, like hers. (park’s)
Just started watching and I love it already! I think it’s the two leads that have already whet my appetite. Adorable. I’m really looking forward to the rest!
Or, at least, SOMEWHERE where international fans can watch it!
Oh--I agree. If we're given no other choice, what can you do? But, with Saneha--we're given NO choice! Sadly. It sounds and looks great--from comments and the trailer I saw! (wink, wink)
It was short, yes, but beautifully told and portrayed.
A complete gem in a small shell is still valuable.
Since shower scenes are my, absolute, favorite 🤩 this did not disappoint me, in the least.
I LOVED it 🥰
