When she appeared as xiao lan huas shifu, i was like, why did they get someone so much prettier than the lead! I thought she was also more natural and pleasing. I think at that time i havent gotten used to esthers high pitched voice. Hahaha
Of cos i love esther more now!

Yah i didnt watch her modern dramas but i think her presence wasnt very noticeable.

I dont think any other character can beat TTJ in his wardrobe. There are a few gorgeous demon lords out there with (or half worn 😅) their dark robes but they had similar outfits throughout. TTJ was doing a a fashion show all the way. 🤣🤣 His hostage prince outfit was just classic and i dont think anyone can carry it off the way LYX did.
Lulu had so many pretty costumes as well. My favourite was the pink one with CJM wearing baby blue beside her.
I wouldnt pick one for myself because it would just turn into a bathrobe on me.

Hhaha yes hes also doing a lot of pulling strings and asking for favours. Everyone in the show does it. He imparts them chemistry knowledge and calls it equivalent exchange. I feel like theres this whole department of alchemists who work like the ones in Full Metal Alchemist. Not the typical costume drama..

Haha yes his acting style is hard to accept.
I find the story quite refreshing so far. Hes trying to take down some big boss because he thinks the boss will attempt to harm him and his family. So he goes out to kidnap and plot 2 noble families against each other. He works for the "police" and they are like family. But the police also admit they are corrupt and take bribes.
