It depends if you like XianXia fantasy themes. There is a LOT of angst in this one and the CGI is probably the top in C dramas. Which is why there is so much talk about it. So future dramas you watch will really pale in comparison. Many of us are here have difficulty watching another series after this.
Perhaps you can tell us what you like a I'm sure you'll get many recommendations here.

The effects were really great like a movie's! The only thing I could pick on were the real animal movements. The crow and tiger could have moved more naturally, esp the crow flying off and landing with its legs sticking out.
The opening scene where the DG arrives in the dragon chariot was super impressive though. I think that's my favourite CG.

Should we just create our own weibo acct? Haha and have it in english. We may get more visibility

I think most people assume those who don't look as good in modern wear, will look great in costume. Like they have a period look. In this case unfortunately, CDL is the least stunning so she picked her. I'm guessing.

I've also gotto say I've seen CDL in better costume looksthan her TianHuan character. I think it was a different drama.

I saw AOL in bits and pcs too cos i couldn't care less about the lead couple. I thought the ML was really lacking in the looks dept. I know he is supposed to be famous but I don't see how. I was rooting for SML all through the show.

Same here! I can never get into k drama. Many have told me they are of higher quality than c dramas and i should watch them. I guess every culture has their own norms and behaviour. Like the japanese are very polite but stiffer body language. I just do not click with the korean one which is very hierarchical.
(Maybe my mum ruined it for me last time by watching korean shows with older aunties smacking the young adults. I thought it was so violent. Hahahaha...)

They are in a very glamorous but toxic environment. The amount of criticism and other attacks in C media is crazy! Those who have managed to stay for years and emerge as top (out of thousands) certainly deserve their place.

Yes i think they could have cut a bit of this arc and give the time to the back. I've seen so many asking if this could be skipped. But please don't. Haha...
