Honestly really glad i started this, 5 episodes in friends/rivals to lovers i love, wasnt a fan of psh previous acting gigs but she is stellar on this one so im happy! ready to see the rest 8.5/10 for me so far.

You are such a hypocrite, you blame the writers for making us love a second lead because of the plot but on the same hand blaming the character for the writers' decision making which is the plot, like what, choose either cause you cant have both, ill judge him like i would a person irl, thats my metre, clear?
His character development is huge especially compared to the Ml and we got to see that, unlike NDS whose entire personality changed by using the timeskip troupe, he goes from an antisocial, cruel fact telling businessman who hasnt grown up due to his early childhood to a more mature, kind adult who is now okay with showing his feelings and exposing himself around others. Other than that yes, i dont see any development cause he was GREAT already, he just was, he was compassionate, honest, maybe too honest, (even the one lie he told Dalmi he was quick to want to resolve but ur boy NDS had other plans), his scenes with Granda were the PEAK of the show, glad you agreed with that, chemistry is a weird factor cause he had no intimate scenes with dalmi so obviously we cant say much, as for why he was so loved compared to do san, like polls at that time were 80-20 in favor of him on huge pages like the swoonies and he wasnt even as famous as NjH, you think that many ppl were just wrong?
Nds character had so much potential to be liked with his geeky, shy backround but hell he was such a jealous selfish dick that was either angry and offensive even physical with others, was rushing to his ideas without caring about possible consequenses both with the start up and his relationships( friends and dalmi) and ppl around suffered for that but even then he only cared about himself, he was a walking red flag and what did we get after the timeskip, he supposedly fixxed all that( we get nothing of how that happened, we just assume he did) he plays it a bit mysterious and he just completely unrealisticly ends up winning in every aspect of life, i dont want to be unfair he had courage and he really liked dalmi and he really tried to make it work ( the start up), aw and the most important thing of the whole love story HE HAD BIG HANDS, FUCK THEM WRITERS. BIG HANDS OVER CARING MILLIONARE WITH A story that ties the leads together, no shit majority didnt enjoy the romance aspect or the male lead compared to kim seon ho and the grandma duo. Like you are free to have ur prefrence but dont act like we are crazy we dont like Nds or have issues with how the story was handled, damn.

i think rather than the point you think we missed im more amazed how you completely ignored how shitty was the Ml, like completely toxic, literally used Hjp by forcing him to keep lying, he was just mad at everyone and hence the aggresiveness and the rudness, he literally broke stuff and attacked another person who was mentoring and supporting him in every way even though he was his love rival, im sry but calling this character refreshing is an insult to the word, a great great actor but this character mediocre at best like how the drama went in the later half

Sry but what character development did the Ml got? Timeskip -> successful, less talkative, stoic acting, they missed the only chance they had to make this toxic jealous kiddo likeable by showing as his growth but no lets timeskip and solve everything magicly, like you said amazing opening episodes, Kim seon ho steals the show, Grandma great acting, some good osts and thats it, thats all we should keep from this drama. I doubt Njh would let himself take this role if he could go to the past, lmao.

You just created false expectations for yourself, maybe next time when you want to start something, take a look at a trailer or a non spoiler review? You cant expect to eat steak on a coffee shop lmao and to add to your complains about the leads, everyone gets character development, they are purposely rude early on because they are problematic , thats part of the plot that you seem to think that we need to shut out brain off to watch, but considering how you go about things and your comment you like some weird mix of fairy tales with unrealisticly kind people(king the land? Which is weird considering how kind everyone ends up being in this one. This is a healing drama, with it being non heavy 80% of the way, many stories between the villagers and a lot of character dealing with their problems, hence the healing/development, your comment comes off as rude to me as a fan and i might be a bit defensive answering all this but idk this whole paragraph you wrote gives me you have no clue what youre talking about vibes, ah im trying not be to offensive but this tilted the living shit out of me.

i loved it at first but i didnt end up loving it by the end, i was really hoping to get that fulfillment that i had when i finished hometown cha cha cha, maybe i set my expectations too high but still a great show for my taste 8/10

Yeah, he could obviously have been pressured by writers or he is just that much inexperienced plus personality but i still cant see how he was that consintent in ending up being a dick.

The dude above is right, i think you either got carried away cause you dont agree with her actions initially and lost track of her character due to misunderstandings. She spent all these years getting evidence from within so that his money and connections wouldnt be able to help him like he did on the past, she told him to forget about revenge and live with her cause that was hard to do and dangerous, she obviously knew considering how much time it took her to collect sufficient and enough evidence, her almost closing his restaurant was also her way of trying to protect him. Now these above are facts, imo she should even be endgame considering how the drama started and how the characters were pretimeskip, the romance with the fml felt forced and rushed, like he magicly just started liking her an forgot about the sfml, the villain losing was also rushed and felt underwhelming, the 'woke' stuff were also not developed enough, some characters were left with plot holes, hence the lower ratings that you seem to not understand either, other than that ratings are subjective so someone could have rated lower just for not enjoying it, or hated the romance, many reasons. Your 9.5 can be someone elses 5 and vise versa.
