I heard they were supposed to have an older a tree play li mujia but li landi was casted as a replacement last minute hence the large age gap. I personally am a fan of age gap couples so I think their chemistry moved me the most of all her CP pairings (close second is with CXX in TSL). I am one of the upset masses about the ending there.
Li landi actually sold me all of her romances though and I was invested in them all so props to her

Love this drama so much! I’ve been her fan since dreaming back to the qing dynasty’ which I think is her weakest drama but despite it, she’s got me in a chokehold since. And I’ve watched virtually watched all her dramas since. Hoping that she’ll continue to get the recognition she deserves

I feel like after Sunday when they released two eps, they left it off in such a bad/depressing place that I couldn't bear to watch the one ep a day between Monday to Wednesday and now I'm just speeding through it to get it over with. The scheduling really threw me off

When WZ swapped the wine cups so that he took JC's poisoned cup, did he dump it or drink it? He didn't show affliction so how was he able to acknowledge (as well as PY) that it was indeed poisoned? my bad if it was super clear and i just missed it

hmm just checked it out and I think the wig is similar enough to WZ’s in this drama that he does look good (imo) but I’m not interested in Bai Lu or her dramas enough to give it a go

I just can’t bring myself to dislike PY only because he’s played by Jeremy Tsui (who I’m not even a fan of) and he’s so handsome (not that he’s not doing a good job with the role) and I guess the looks are swaying me😅 pretty privilege is real

Side note: this is my first RJL drama because I personally didn’t find him handsome but wow idk if it’s the character or I find myself thinking he’s more and more beautiful every episode. I looked a bit into his older dramas like Under the power (skipped it because of the above reason even though I’m a fan of tan song yun) and a drama that hasn’t aired yet of his (with Song zu er) and his wigs are just … oh dear in both.
