I heard they were supposed to have an older a tree play li mujia but li landi was casted as a replacement last minute hence the large age gap. I personally am a fan of age gap couples so I think their chemistry moved me the most of all her CP pairings (close second is with CXX in TSL). I am one of the upset masses about the ending there. Li landi actually sold me all of her romances though and I was invested in them all so props to her

Love this drama so much! I’ve been her fan since dreaming back to the qing dynasty’ which I think is her weakest drama but despite it, she’s got me in a chokehold since. And I’ve watched virtually watched all her dramas since. Hoping that she’ll continue to get the recognition she deserves
-It was likely that Jiang Ci knew Wei Zhao was poisoned as she started tearing up when she saw WZ's hands trembling…
Stop this post so aptly written and I’m tearing up again Also what’s the hairstyle they use to signify that they’re married? Is it when they tie a ribbon around their bun (like LMT in are you the one)?
planning to binge it all tonight I feel like after Sunday when they released two eps, they left it off in such a bad/depressing place that I couldn't bear to watch the one ep a day between Monday to Wednesday and now I'm just speeding through it to get it over with. The scheduling really threw me off
The only redeeming scenes now from PY are when he defies his mum . STAND UP boy. You tell her. Also she's beyond delulu as well to think they deserve the throne for absolutely no good reason? Apples don't fall far I guess.
When WZ swapped the wine cups so that he took JC's poisoned cup, did he dump it or drink it? He didn't show affliction so how was he able to acknowledge (as well as PY) that it was indeed poisoned? my bad if it was super clear and i just missed it
Talking about slapping her and how she deserves to die when I have not seen these types of aggressive comments…
Agree agree. Comments here got super aggressive today I was shocked. Understand where both she and WZ are coming from based on their history. But PY here be clowning
Li Landi in that horseback scene in episode 28 as Jiang Ci had all that flashbacks... her acting is amazinggggg.…
Yes! But also the superficial side of me was like yas girl is delivering even when turned upside down like that like how can she look so elegant while hurt being dragged away? Props to LL for knowing how to emote even with those messy angles.
Can someone tell me why WZ turned away when JC was confessing the last minute of this ep? I thought he heard something but I replayed it and couldn't catch anything so what was that?? She was in the middle of saying something important
I just can’t bring myself to dislike PY only because he’s played by Jeremy Tsui (who I’m not even a fan…
Actually! lowkey if I were JC and were not nearly as cool and independent as her, I’d be like okay ofc I’ll stay for you instead of the one guy who tried to kill me😂😂😂 PY (Jeremy) is just refined
But on the other hand, if it were a middle aged average looking man, yeah I completely understand everyone saying how disgusted/creeped out they are
hmm just checked it out and I think the wig is similar enough to WZ’s in this drama that he does look good (imo) but I’m not interested in Bai Lu or her dramas enough to give it a go
I actually dislike PY to my core. every time he’s on my screen I just wanna smack the shit outta him.
I just can’t bring myself to dislike PY only because he’s played by Jeremy Tsui (who I’m not even a fan of) and he’s so handsome (not that he’s not doing a good job with the role) and I guess the looks are swaying me😅 pretty privilege is real
Does anyone know if they used RJL’s real voice in ep24 when he sang at the end?
Side note: this is my first RJL drama because I personally didn’t find him handsome but wow idk if it’s the character or I find myself thinking he’s more and more beautiful every episode. I looked a bit into his older dramas like Under the power (skipped it because of the above reason even though I’m a fan of tan song yun) and a drama that hasn’t aired yet of his (with Song zu er) and his wigs are just … oh dear in both.
