Episode 4 (when So wrecked out the stones out of anger towards his evil mom):
Soo to So: You probably won’t be forgiven. Still, I understand you.
Episode 13:
So to Soo: If I came to you, I didn’t think you would forgive me. But I thought you would understand.
He still remembers her words. *sobs*
I’m glad someone on IG pointed this.
^I think this really shows just how much Soo has had an impact on So. A year and more has passed, but he still clearly remembers what she once told him when he was going through a hard time ;-;
The scene where Wang So shielded Hae Soo from the rain was beautiful beyond words. The moment the Davichi OST started playing and So appeared behind her, I actually got chills and felt like crying because of how touching it was. In that moment alone, you could see how deeply he loved Soo by risking his life to be by her side when she needed it the most ♥♥
Episode 11 pulled my heart to shreds TT^TT I wholeheartedly loved all the scenes that Hae Soo and Wang So had…
Court Lady Oh was probably one of the most clever characters in the drama. She didn't have to use malicious ways in order to defeat her opponents, she radiated this kind of quiet confidence. That's probably why Queen Yoo hated her so much and constantly tried to strike her down. I always thought Court Lady Oh was an intelligent woman and that her words held impact (and most of what she said came true afterwards), especially when she told Wang Wook that he would regret everything if he neglected Soo just one time. I found her words very powerful.
You're very observant ^^ I didn't observe that everything she said was prophesying Wang So's bloodshed and deadly reign. Now that you mention it, everything does seem to make sense~ It's such a shame that her character had to die, I think she could've been a great source of strength and help to Soo :(

Thank you~~
When Wook made his request I just thought he was unbelievably cowardly. It's ridiculous how he can ask Court Lady Oh to risk her life and talk to the King about Soo (yes, it's true that she has his favor, but still) when he has done nothing for Soo himself. He doesn't have the right to do ask of such request. I think I was mostly in shock at how he could neglect Soo that way. I'm probably just getting to into to whole situation heh :')
Me too! Especially after these two episodes, I love where the show is going. I'm so ready for more Wang So and Hae Soo *^* Waiting a week is going to be so painful ;;
Episode 11 pulled my heart to shreds TT^TT
I wholeheartedly loved all the scenes that Hae Soo and Wang So had together, they were just so meaningful. My favourite was the prison scene where you could just feel the chemistry they had by the way they looked at each other. And of course you can't forget about the cape scene ❤ This episode is definitely a turning point in regards to Soo's feelings. Although it took long enough, I like how Soo's feelings are developing slowly and surely for So (。◕‿◕。)
On the other hand, we got to see the true selfish nature of Wang Wook. From the beginning, I knew that Wook's character was too good to be true. I was swooned by him the first few episodes, but I had a feeling that sooner or later he would be blinded by his hunger for the throne. It was still shocking to see how cowardly he was, completely abandoning Soo. It disgusted me how he asked Court Lady Oh to stand up for Soo when he had done nothing for her himself. Court Lady Oh's response made me realize just how wise of a character she really was- it was like she saw everything that went on the palace. I had just began to truly love her character and it was devastating to see her character have to die that way. I was crying the whole time ;-;
Huge props to IU this episode, her acting was amazing. I'm so glad she proved the haters wrong ^^
I honestly don't know how I'm going to survive waiting another week for episode 12 ಥ_ಥ
I don't think I've ever loved a character as much as I love Wang So. Lee Jun Ki's stellar acting combined with Wang So's complex, emotionally vulnerable character is the best thing I've seen in K-drama land in a long time. My heart is breaking for him literally every episode ;~;
A very captivating beginning. I'm liking the dark, intense theme that this drama has. The music is a little over the top in some scenes, but generally I think it fits. The acting is top-notch. Ji Chang Wook is amazing, as usual :) You can see all the training he's been doing pay off in the action scenes. Yoona is also doing very well. I'm looking forward to more interactions between them. Rather than hating the antagonists, I find their characters very intriguing. I've never seen Song Yoon Ah in anything but she is fantastic in this role. Now I have one more reason to be excited for Fridays ^^
I didn't really find the kiss between Wang So and Hae Soo uncomfortable, I saw it more as Wang So holding on to…
I agree :( It's like her entire attitude towards him took a 360. If I was Wang So I think I would react the same way, since her attitude towards him changed so drastically in a matter of days. I was really enjoying how comfortable they were with each other too before ep 9. >:
I actually saw this theory on another website that Hae Soo's visions might be what is being ERASED from history. That would be super interesting. We'll just have to see where the writers go with this :P

From the preview it looks like he's going to start being brain-washed by Wang Yo, and I agree, eventually he'll probably start turning into a manipulative, hungry for power character. Right now I'm finding his character kind of bland. I'm looking forward to his character changing for the worse and seeing how Hae Soo will react to that.
I didn't really find the kiss between Wang So and Hae Soo uncomfortable, I saw it more as Wang So holding on to the last bit of sanity he had out of desperation. His mother just tried to manipulate him, again, and the only person he had left pushed him away like everybody else did. That must have driven him over the edge. You could see him losing control emotionally when he kept telling Hae Soo that she was his, and that she couldn't do this to him. He's obviously in love with her, and seeing how afraid she was of him, the only way he could convey his emotions to her was by kissing her. The kiss was forceful, but I could understand why it was necessary in that situation given that it was out of passion and that he's never felt this way towards anyone before. I think the long version of the kiss is much better. You can see Hae Soo stop struggling against him in the beginning but "accepting" the kiss towards the end. It's not the first kiss we've been wanting for sure, but I don't think it was bad. In the preview for the next ep, Wang So tells Soo that he "doesn't believe that she's afraid of him" and I'm reaalllyy hoping that things get better between them from there.
Also, did anyone else think that there was something off about the 8th Prince throughout episode 9? In one scene, his gaze looked very unsettling, kinda creepy ._. I have a feeling that he won't be the good guy for long.
If Wang So drinks the poison next episode to protect Hae Soo than I am back with full interest again lo sign me…
Queen Yoo mentioned she wanted to get rid of Damiwon and all the people in it earlier in the episode, so I think she's going to manipulate Hae Soo into delivering the poison to the Crown Prince (where she'll have to take the blame for his death). And Wang So, who wants to protect Hae Soo and the Crown Prince, drinks the poison instead.
I can understand why Hae Soo is falling for Wang Wook since he was the only one who showed her kindness when many…
Haha thank you c: I think we should just appreciate the chemistry between Wook and Soo right now, even though I, too, and awaiting more scenes of So <3
I DID HEAR THE NEWS ABOUT JI SOO. It upsets me so much that he's gotten so sick, and he has to postpone his drama schedule too ;^; He's been really hardworking this year and he's been in 3 dramas already so it's only right that he takes a break and puts his health first. Hope he gets well soon <3 T^T
I can understand why Hae Soo is falling for Wang Wook since he was the only one who showed her kindness when many others were unwelcoming towards her. I'm team Wang So for sure, but the romance between Wook and Soo doesn't bother me. It's genuine and really sweet, plus the chemistry between them is great as well. The "he had a wife thing" doesn't really bother me either (probably an unpopular opinion) since historically it was common to have more than one wife at the time. I think it will be interesting to see how Hae Soo ends up falling for Wang So in the end and I like how their relationship is growing. He can show his playful, vulnerable side around her and I think that's already a step in the right direction for their romance to bloom. Only 7 episodes have aired so there's still a lot of time for them to fall in love and for feelings to change! I'm very excited to see Hae Soo realize her shift in feelings for Wang So :)
Wang So's vulnerable expression after he took off the mask actually gave me chills. And the way he looked at Hae Soo and said "That look in your eyes...I hate it like crazy." broke my heart ;-;
My heart broke for Wang So in episode 4 T-T I think Hae Soo is exactly what he needs. I love that she saw him when he was the most vulnerable and broken and understood the reasoning behind his actions. It's so nice to see that slowly her cheerful personality is softening him and when he's with her, he smiles a lot more <3 Their interactions are adorable \ (•◡•) /

Lee Jun Ki is killing this role *-* ❤
