Imma just say this, not every BL is going to be fluffy and filled with rainbows. I enjoy both Kieta Hatsukoi and Utsukushii Kare, Hatsukoi is a serotonin booster while Kare is more deep and darker? which I really like as well.
I did actually like this. Yes, I do have agree that some scenes were draggy and it was confusing sometimes but I did like how they experimented with these shows and how they showed how religion really divided us and how cults and the media can manipulate anyone so easily. Hats off too Won Ji Ah as Song So Hyun really stole the spotlight. It needed more explanation, and the cliffhanger is just really frustrated they could've just made this into a 10 episode drama, it could help with the world building and characterization of other characters. Overall, a hit or miss for some people but for me I liked it.
My theory in the ending is that the people that were sent to hell were given a test to repent their sins and if they pass their test in hell, they will be resurrected again because tbh, all of the people that were shown being killed and were sent to hell, the show didn't explain nor show what their actual sin was. The daughter of the professor was just killed without knowing her sin actually was, Jin Soo said that Jungja might've had an affair without Jungja actually confirming if it was true. The two parents were killed and we didn't even know what their sin but their baby who also was meant to be killed, didn't die. Jin Soo was also sent to hell without knowing what his sin was. So yeah that's my own perspective.
Lee Re was amazing in this especially in the part where her and Yoo Ah In were burning the body of the man, her facial expressions was just immaculate acting.
If there's something you will definitely find in MDL comments is homophobia, lol. I've been saying that people…
so what if someone labels Ji Woon as a bisexual character, let them be (I also think that Ji Woon is bisexual/pan). He's just a fucking fictional character, for goodness sake. People are so sensitive and for what? for a fictional drama? sorry for venting lmao. I agree with your insight. ❤️

agree with you af, this one commenter keeps on talking over as if he/she/they has been in the shoes of an LGBTQ+ person, they keep on invalidating someone's sexual orientation like it was so frustrating to see.
The amount of ignorance and homophobia I've seen in this comment section is just sad. For me personally, I really don't give two shits what gender identity/sexuality of two love interests are whether it would be a man and a woman, a man and a man and woman and a woman, it's still the same for me, it's just two people falling inlove that's it.
I got bored with the boy group parts. The girl group characters, Jenna, Stella, L, Hyun-Ji and Chae Ah are more interesting and multi-dimensional characters. I wished the show only focuses on them and their journey to success. On the other hand, I love the documentary-esque filming of this drama, the writing so far is really good aswell and the acting especially (Hani and Solbin) are really good.
Based on the clips I have watched, Hani and Solbin took my breathe away. Their acting is just so good like damn. Imma just watch this for them and I hope there's no romance.
