Am I the only one who watched this? There must be at least one more because I haven't rate it. TBH, I was a little disappointed. It wasn't bad, but it was a little dull, except for Rocky's post-shower appearance. Something is missing from the original - the energy level was lower, and the COVID theme is getting a little worn out.
This was different - a more realistic BL with the real life problems LGBTQ+ people face in conservative societies. The acting and dialog were very natural and authentic.
I have a few thoughts: 1. Singto looks fucking amazing in a suit2. The shots of the cockroach POV and all the…
Same here - more interested in the side couple, but what else is new? Singto's suits were awesome, and Yoon's too. Tae looked good in his as well. Being tall and in great shape seems to correlate well with looking good in suits. Who knew?
The music during the cockroach scene (Flight of the Bumblebee by Rimsky-Korsakov) was funny too - the under-chair shot of it flying was great - they must have done that with a drone.
I'm not sure what I think. I like the subject matter, I love the soundtrack ("updated" classical), I love Yoon and Yacht, Tae has great comedic chops, the wardrobe is spectacular, and the cinematography is really good - the cockroach shots were well-done.
But I liked it, didn't love it. I think the editing needs to be sharper - this is largely comedy, so it needs to be a bit snappier - but it's still off to a good start - you can already feel the spark between Yacht & Yun, and Tae is a bit of a dish. And no f#$%ing engineers and no school setting!!! A+ just for that!
Why I feel this series "dry" and not "live"? It supposed to be good but somehow I can't "connected" with the entire…
I understand what you're saying - I liked it, but it was lacking a little energy, which I think was a problem with editing - it needed to be a little sharper.
My heart was in my throat. I rewatched it so many times. The way Ohm delivered the simple like of "no", the way…
It did have good kisses, but it still felt a little like friends to me - there wasn't the same raw longing that Nanon and Ohm were able to convey. In MoD I was actually more taken by Bhu and Putter - I loved the way That's "happy place" when he was being tortured was imagining just riding his bike with Sorawit. That was one of the most moving things ever.

I actually thought that was better than MaxTul, but it was also better written and acted, so that helped. I didn't expect this series to be this good - it's noce to get a positive surprised for once!
OH MY GOD the comments are so tempting me to start the series and i've been waiting for this since the trailer…
If you don't watch it right now, the earth will stop spinning on its axis and hurl us all into outer space. If you don't watch it, a puppy will die.
But seriously, when you get to the end of Ep 5, you won't feel a burning need to see the next ep - it will be more than enough to float you through the entire week. Maybe enough to last your entire life. To be honest, I'm not sure my heart could take another episode like this right now.
Ho Lee Fuk. That was easily the best BL scene I've ever watched. Could anyone breathe during that? I don't even need to say which scene - you all know.
Even if GMMTV ruins the rest of the series (which won't happen), there will always be this episode.
This was an Ohm ep - he was spectacular all the way through. But at the end it was Nanon too. I'm speechless.
Anyway, it's not as if we're watching a documentary of what goes on in a gay bar or something like that.If we…
Fair enough, and that makes sense to me. But to me, this is a visual medium, so we have to show, not tell. In the case of the bodyguard, the humor is that he's a crybaby coward, i.e a terrible bodyguard. Nobody told us he's a terrible bodyguard - we are shown that's the case. You can be a terrible bodyguard (which is an occupation - you can also be a terrible librarian), but being a gay conqueror is dependent on success - if you call yourself a fashion icon but dress terribly, then you're not really a fashion icon, you're just deluded. But since we're being told that every man wants Weir, we need to see that that's true.
A key plot purpose of Weir is that he's a sexual conqueror, which creates a tension in the story - will his sexual conquerorness ruin he bakery? Will it work on Punn? That can't work if he's ineffectual - I don't think anyone believes that it will work on Punn or really amount to much at all, since neither of the other two male characters is attracted to him in the slightest, nor has he done anything that could be characterized as sexy.
If it had just been some strange magnetism that works, I would be able to accept that (and would have been a lot more funny) - but we were actually taken to a gay bar to watch him in action, and it fell flat.
Sorry, that was kind of long-winded. I still don't agree, but I think I understand where you and like-minded viewers are coming from much better now, so thank you.

But the waiter IS begging for a job and IS taunting the boss, and the bodyguard IS crying in front of everyone. Weir IS NOT being a gay conqueror, he's being an anime stuffed animal, and has so far totally failed to make any man fall in love with him or display any quality that would make it believable that he could.
The equivalent is if Krathing were sincerely complimenting Punn all the time and everyone kept scolding him for taunting the boss - in that case taunting is simply not what he's doing and it wouldn't really make sense.
I didn't feel it at all, and I like Singto. Batting your eyes and giving puppy-dog looks is what 1950s child stars…
Legitimate point, but then they should have said that he's so cute that people can't say no to him. What they said was no MEN can resist him because he's a super-gay and sexually irresistable. That's not what we're seeing and it's just not credible. Also, if you look in this thread, many women are agreeing with that assessment, because women are just as capable as men of detecting whether or not someone is a sex bomb. In this role, Singto just isn't.
Whether or not people find him appealing is a different matter - I can certainly see why people would. But the way the character has been sold is very specific. If you watch the Korean version, the equivalent character is as described - and that was 12 years ago and in a more conservative country.
We are on the same page here. I can't understand why they have put Singto (Weir) in about as unflattering a haircut…
Lee is gorgeous - the way they're painting him as old and creepy is bizarre. Pluem is ridiculous. Not only is he smokin', but that childlike smile of happiness makes me unable to breathe for a while.
Noooo I’ve already invested 2 episodes worth of my time and it’s not even a BL? Don’t tell me it’s The…
In the Korean version the Weir character was gay, but there wasn't any real BL, but I'm fairly certain the source material is explicitly BL, so I think we're fairly safe here.

I really like Best, who will be joining next ep, so I'm hoping he jump-starts this thing.
